His soul-Chapter 528: Forgive Massimo *again
Gina immediately stepped back, trying to escape from Diego’s touch.
"S-sorry Gina, I’m sorry," Diego said quickly, Diego managed to read the change in Gina’s emotions after he touched Gina’s chin with a hint of desire that showed.
Gina shook her head in panic. "No Diego, you don’t need to apologize. I-I’m just exaggerating a bit."
Diego smiled, without changing his facial expression. Diego stepped forward to approach Gina again, who was almost stuck to her bedroom door.
"Gina," Diego breathed hoarsely. "Don’t be afraid of me, I won’t hurt you. I’m the only man in this world who won’t make you cry."
Gina’s eyes blinked slowly, staring confusedly at Diego who was barely clinging to her.
"Give me one chance, Gina."
"Opportunity?" asked Gina, confused.
Diego pursed his lips. "An opportunity to..."
"Rosa!" Gina screamed loudly for Rosa who had just come out of her room.
Diego, who was almost speaking his heart out, fell silent when Gina called Rosa’s name, as if nothing had happened. Diego also turned to Rosa following what Gina was doing.
"Y-you’re awake?" Gina resumed her question to Rosa.
Rosa who was still annoyed with Gina chose to continue her steps towards the stairs and did not answer Gina’s question, seeing Rosa’s indifferent attitude made Diego frown.
"Are you guys fighting?" she asked.
Gina smiled a little. "No."
"If you don’t fight then why is Rosa like that? She doesn’t usually act like that, I know Rosa very well," Diego said again, he couldn’t believe Gina’s answer.
"Just a small misunderstanding, Diego."
"Misunderstanding, what exactly happened last night?" Diego again gave the same question to Gina.
Gina, who did not want to tell about Massimo, chose to find another reason that was considered reasonable, Gina knew Diego would not stop asking if she had not told the real reason. Because of that, Gina was finally forced to make up a small lie so that Diego would no longer interrogate her. Gina was worried that she would run out of words if Diego kept asking her questions.
Diego nodded his head hearing Gina’s explanation, although not satisfied with Gina’s answer, Diego decided to end the discussion about Rosa. Diego doesn’t want Gina to think she is too involved in her personal life, for now Diego has to keep creating a good image for Gina.
"Well, let it go. Maybe Rosa is currently in period, don’t worry about it," said Diego wisely. "Now we better go downstairs, you have to eat before sunbathing. I don’t want anything untoward to happen if you don’t fill your stomach first."
Gina smiled, she looked so relieved that Diego was no longer interrogating her. "Yeah, I understand."
Without asking permission first, Diego immediately wrapped his arms around Gina’s waist and guided her towards the stairs. Gina, who usually didn’t seem bothered by Diego’s treatment of her, felt different today. Gina suddenly felt uncomfortable when Diego touched her body, even though Diego’s goal was good but Gina still felt uncomfortable. It was Diego’s previous words that made Gina feel a little disturbed by Diego’s presence nearby.
"Gina watch out!" squealed Diego loudly. "What are you thinking about? You almost hit the table," Diego said curtly.
Gina, who was really thinking about Massimo, stared in horror at the edge of the pointy table that Diego was currently closing with his other hand.
"Still thinking about Rosa?" said Diego again.
Gina turned her gaze to Diego. "N-no."
"Don’t lie, you are a person who really can’t lie," Diego said quickly, as fast as his movements that suddenly grabbed Gina’s body into his arms.
"Brother!!!"
"Shut up and don’t move," Diego said curtly.
Gina, who didn’t expect Diego to carry her like a bride, looked panicked. "Put me down, Diego. I can walk on my own."
"You’re not focused, I don’t want it to happen again."
"But I’m afraid of falling, I can walk on the stairs alone," Gina whined frantically, imagining Diego walking down the stairs carrying herself really made Gina uneasy.
Diego who was ready to step down lowered his gaze, staring intently at Gina who was in his arms. "Hug me if you’re scared."
"Brother..."
"You have no other choice, Gina." Diego immediately cut Gina’s words quickly, without changing his expression.
Gina who couldn’t fight Diego finally complied, with a little hesitation Gina reached her hand around Diego’s neck to hold on.
"Hold on tight, Gina," Diego said softly when he felt Gina’s grip on his body not strong.
Gina nodded slowly, without speaking she then tightened her arms around Diego. After making sure that Gina hugged him properly, Diego then continued his steps down the stairs. Even though Diego wasn’t as big as Massimo, he wasn’t having the slightest difficulty at this point carrying Gina in his arms as he descended the stairs. Diego actually smiled broadly as he descended the stairs one by one.
When he made it to the first floor, Diego carefully lowered Gina from his arms, not the slightest look of fatigue was seen on his face at this time.
"I’m heavy, aren’t I?" Gina said softly with red cheeks.
"No, who said?"
"I’m gaining weight. Yesterday I weighed it at Doctor Olivia’s."
Diego chuckled. "Just adding two or three pounds won’t do me any good, Gina."
"I’m serious, Diego."
"I’m serious too, if you don’t believe me I can prove it back to you."
Gina raised an eyebrow. "Proving again, what does that mean?"
"I can carry you back up to the second floor if you doubt my abilities," Diego replied with a seductive smile.
Gina’s face reddened when she heard Diego’s words, she was really disturbed by Diego’s words. Without giving an answer, Gina then left in front of Diego to the dining table following Rosa who was enjoying her cereal while playing with her cellphone.
Seeing Gina blushing made Diego’s smile wider, Gina actually looks even more adorable in Diego’s eyes when she’s embarrassed like that. His desire to have Gina is getting bigger, Diego really doesn’t want to waste time. Today he had to immediately report Massimo’s problem and ask his stepfather for the blessing he had previously asked for when he asked permission to marry Gina.
Not wanting Gina and Rosa to fight again, Diego then walked over to the dining table to join Rosa and Gina, who seemed to keep their distance. If usually Rosa would sit right next to Gina, this morning Rosa chose the seat farthest from Gina. It seemed that Rosa was really still disappointed in Gina who had forgiven Massimo.
Diego, who did not know the real problem just shook his head slightly when Rosa repeatedly ignored Gina’s words, without speaking Diego reached out and squeezed Gina’s hand which was above her thigh. Gina almost screamed loudly when Diego suddenly did that.
"It’s ok, don’t mind Rosa," Diego said softly, barely audible. Both of his eyes stared warmly at Gina who looked very surprised.
For a while Gina didn’t do anything until finally Gina decided to get up from the chair she was sitting in, causing Diego’s hand to fall off her thigh. This morning Gina really felt uncomfortable receiving unusual treatment from Diego, because Gina had already stood up and then rushed to the toilet which was not far from the dining table to be the reason why she suddenly got up from the chair.
As soon as Gina entered the toilet, Diego immediately gave Rosa a murderous look who had been stealing glances at him and Gina. "What is the problem?" Diego asked coldly.
"Problem, what’s the matter?" asked Rosa playing dumb.
"Today you were very cruel to Gina, you know Gina is still not fully healed," Diego said curtly. "Gina almost hit the table while walking, luckily I acted immediately. Otherwise, the sharp edge of the table will hurt her already big stomach."
Prank..
The fork that Rosa was holding fell on her plate.
"W-what did you say, Diego?" shrieked Rosa loudly.
Diego smiled coldly. "Gina almost hurt herself because she couldn’t focus while walking, that’s why I decided to carry her on the way down to the first floor."
"Oh Gina..."
"Tch, when it’s like this it’s just ’oh Gina’. You so mean,Rosa," Diego said sarcastically again.
Rosa who is very worried about Gina decides to follow Gina to the toilet, she doesn’t want something bad to happen to Gina. Hearing Diego’s story that said Gina was almost injured a moment ago made Rosa decide to wait for Gina to come out of the toilet. As soon as Gina came out of the toilet, Rosa immediately grabbed Gina’s hand and gripped it tightly.
"Rosa..."
"Why aren’t you careful," said Rosa curtly. "You’re pregnant, Gina. Remember, whatever happens to you will have a bad impact on the baby in your stomach. That’s why you have to be careful what you do, what if Diego wasn’t there?"
"Sorry, I..."
Gina couldn’t continue her words because suddenly Rosa hugged her tightly, Rosa who was so afraid that Gina would get hurt had forgotten her anger at Gina. Rosa softly whispered a few words that made Gina’s whole body tense up instantly.
"Y-are you serious, Rosa?" stammered Gina.
Rosa who hasn’t let go of Gina’s arms yet nodded slowly. "Yeah, I’m serious."
"Rosa..."
"I do support you back to him, but I haven’t fully forgiven his mistakes. So if I still call him that you can’t be angry with me," said Rosa curtly as she tightened her arms on Gina’s body.
Gina pursed her lips. "Thank you, Rosa. Your support means a lot to me."
Rosa, who still didn’t fully believe in Massimo’s sincerity, slowly let go of Gina’s arms, her green eyes staring at Gina without blinking. "I will monitor and judge firsthand how serious he is, if he is not really serious about you then I will withdraw my support for him."
"I love you, Rosa," Gina said softly.
"Tch, very clever to seduce me," said Rosa curtly. "Remember I’m doing this for my nephew’s sake, so tell him not to be so big-headed."
Gina chuckled. "Yes..yes...I will tell him."
"Come on let’s eat, you have to eat. My nephew must not starve, he needs a lot of nutritious food for his growth."
Without arguing, Gina followed Rosa’s steps towards the dining table to continue the previously delayed meal, Diego’s smile broke when he saw Gina and Rosa were back together. Because there was still a lot of work to be done, as soon as he finished his coffee, Diego rushed back to his room, leaving Gina and Rosa. Diego had to immediately order his men to tighten the guard at home to keep Massimo out.
"I will repay everything you have done to me today, Massimo," Diego said coldly when he touched the gun he had just pulled out of the storage cupboard in his room. "I won’t let you mess up all my plans."
After confirming that the bullets in his gun were full, Diego then contacted his men who were still at his residence. With a firm tone that does not want to be disputed, Diego gave quite a few orders to one of the most dangerous thugs in Barcelona. By offering the lure of much more money, Diego asked his men to use all means to prevent Massimo from coming to his house.
Diego does not want Gina to know about Massimo’s return to Barcelona, even though Massimo has hurt Gina but Diego is worried that Gina will forgive the man again. That’s why Diego had to use all means to prevent Massimo from coming to his house, Diego was really desperate this time. Diego must immediately get Julian’s blessing to marry Gina before Massimo exposes all his crimes against Julian.
