His soul-Chapter 546: Ensure punishment
Gina tightened her grip on Massimo’s arm as she watched Vanessa rampage through the examination room. Last night Vanessa and her two gigolos arrived in Barcelona after being forcibly taken home by Massimo’s men in Los Angeles. Vanessa, who was very afraid of living in poverty, became out of control when she found out that she was put into the police station.
There have been countless curses that the woman has directed at Julian and Gina, even though she has not seen the figures of the two in person, Vanessa is sure that Julian and Gina are behind the arrests she and Diego are currently experiencing. Vanessa really showed her true nature in front of two police officers who were interrogating her.
"Massimo.." Gina whispered softly.
Massimo, who was looking at Vanessa and Diego through the two-way glass in front of them, immediately turned to Gina who had just said her name. "Yes dear."
Gina swallowed. "I want to go home."
"Go home?"
"Y..yes, seeing Vanessa angry like that makes my head spin."
Massimo smiled. "Ok let’s go home, but wait a minute. I have to say goodbye to Daddy first."
Gina nodded her head, slowly she removed her hand from Massimo’s arm and let Massimo approach his father and Charlie who were talking to a senior police officer in charge of the Diego and Vanessa case. Massimo and Julian had a long conversation, before Massimo finally returned to where Gina was sitting.
"It is done?"
Massimo pursed his lips. "Yeah, we can go home now."
"What were you two talking about?" asked Gina curiously.
Instead of answering Gina’s question, Massimo landed a kiss on the pregnant woman’s forehead gently. "A conversation between a man, and you shouldn’t know because it’s confidential," said Massimo jokingly.
"You two really made up?" asked Gina again, even though she had heard the answer to the question she had just asked Massimo, but Gina was still not satisfied. Gina is still curious and doesn’t believe that Massimo can make up with her father, who actually hates Massimo.
Massimo chuckled. "This is the eighth question, dear. Do I need to answer it again?"
"I’m serious!"
"My dear, my love, my love. I say it again, yes. Me and your father have really made up, we both have decided to start everything from scratch and forget everything that happened in the past," answered Massimo gently.
"No deal or anything like that anymore, right?"
"Nothing, our relationship is really not based on any agreement. Only promises between men that we have said before."
Gina frowned. "Promise between men?"
"Yes, the promise between son and father that we say from a sincere heart," answered Massimo again with a smile. "A promise based on a desire to make you happy."
Gina blinked her eyes, she didn’t understand the meaning of Massimo’s last words. Gina’s intention to speak again was restrained by a soft kiss that Massimo landed, Massimo who had no shame acted casually in front of everyone in the room, causing Gina’s cheeks to turn red.
"Let’s go home," he said softly as he ended the kiss.
Having no other choice, Gina nodded her head quickly. Gina really wanted to get away from the room, even though Massimo was her husband but Gina felt very embarrassed when he licked her lips greedily in front of everyone. Gina immediately got up from her seat and walked straight to the door, leaving Massimo laughing amused.
From where he stood Julian’s lips thinned, seeing the intimacy of Gina and Massimo made Julian’s chest which had been tight for a long time feel warm now. His decision to forgive and give Massimo one more chance seems to be the right one, Gina’s condition, which had dropped, immediately improved when Massimo was by her side.
"Miss Gina looks very well, sir," Charlie said quietly, breaking Julian’s gaze on Massimo and Gina who had just walked out the door.
Julian smiled. "Yes and for that I’m very grateful to you, Charlie. Thanks for bringing me to my senses."
"No thanks, sir. I was just doing what I had to do," Charlie replied modestly.
"After making sure that Vanessa and Diego get the punishment they deserve, I want to take my children and Massimo on vacation, I hope you prepare everything well. Make sure that there is an obstetrician on duty, so that if something untoward happens to Gina, he can get action immediately," said Julian unexpectedly.
Charlie, who was very surprised to hear his master’s words, was silent for a few seconds, until finally his consciousness returned. With a nod excitedly Charlie accepted the task Julian had given him, without asking permission from Julian who was already looking back at Vanessa and Diego who were still being examined, Charlie then stepped back. Staying away from Julian and rushing for the exit to do his job, using both his smartphone and his smart tablet at once, Charlie worked really fast.
As for Julian, he was still standing where he was now. His gaze was still fixed on Vanessa and Diego who were in front of him, separated by a special glass that made Julian free to look at Vanessa and Diego.
"Thank you Vanessa, thank you for opening my eyes, that Sandra is indeed much better than you," said Julian in his heart. "I’ll make sure you both get what you deserve for all the crimes you’ve done all these years behind my back, I’ll make traitors like you both live in a senseless misery."

"What are you thinking?" Massimo asked quietly, interrupting Gina’s thoughts.
Gina, who had been in the car looking out of the window, slowly turned her face to Massimo who was sitting on her left.
"What are you thinking, hm?" asked Massimo again, repeating his question.
Gina took a deep breath, realizing that she couldn’t keep a secret from Massimo. "I was thinking about Daddy," Gina answered honestly. "Daddy must be very sad right now, seeing the child he raised for years using both hands to be the prime suspect behind the horrific deaths of his parents."
Massimo smiled a little. "This kind of thing will definitely happen if all of Diego and Vanessa’s crimes are exposed, dear. Like it or not, ready or not, Daddy must be strong to face everything. Even though Daddy is devastated to see the person closest to him stabbed him in the back, on the other hand he must be happy this time because of knowing the truth about the tragic death that befell his parents."
"Why is there such a bad person in this world, Massimo? Why are Diego and Vanessa so cruel... Grandma, she didn’t deserve such a horrible death," Gina said hoarsely with her cheeks already wet with tears. Recalling the tragic accident that happened to Barbara Sanders a few years ago made Gina cry again.
"Shhh...don’t cry, don’t let out your tears again." Massimo immediately wiped Gina’s tears with both hands quickly. "I’d go crazy if I saw you cry like this, baby."
Gina lowered her head, lips quivering and she said "I just feel sad remembering how Grandma died, Grandma was too good to die in such a tragic way."
Massimo took a deep breath, he knew how good Gina and Barbara Sanders were at that time. Massimo tenderly took Gina’s body into his arms, Massimo rested Gina’s head on his chest which had not yet fully healed. Massimo grimaced as he felt a slight pain in his chest as Gina’s head leaned against it.
"Don’t cry for your grandmother who is calm up there, your grandmother is happy to be together with her husband and your mother. So don’t cry because it will make her sad," said Massimo gently trying to calm Gina who was being carried away by emotions. "What we have to do now is seek justice for him by making sure the two bad guys get what they deserve for the cruel deeds they’ve done before."
Gina nodded slightly in response to Massimo’s words.
"After all this stuff is over, we’ll visit your grandma and grandpa’s graves together. You miss them, don’t you?"
Gina immediately lifted her face from Massimo’s chest. "Yeah, I really miss them."
Massimo pursed his lips. "Okay, I’ll arrange our schedule to visit them. And now that we’re home, there’s something I want to show you at home."
"Show what?"
"You’ll see when we get home," Massimo replied with a meaningful smile, trying to keep Gina from asking him again.
