His soul-Chapter 550: Diego’s escape
The peace of the morning at the Sanders’ house must be disturbed by unwanted news, Julian who is enjoying chamomile tea with Selena and Rosa who are doing yoga by the pool is forced to take sedatives after receiving news of Diego’s escape from the police station.
Diego managed to escape from the police station after shooting five policemen including Adam the police chief in the office where Diego was, the condition of the five police officers is currently critical because Diego shot them near a vital area. It was clear that Diego not only wanted to hurt them, but he wanted to kill the cops.
"You’re not kidding, are you, Charlie?" stammered Selena.
"I can’t be joking, Miss. Diego really did all that, he is currently on the Barcelona police wanted list and the police ask us all to be vigilant because it is very likely that Diego could come to one of you all." Charlie took Selena’s question seriously.
"Diegooo..." Selena immediately covered her mouth with both hands at once. Hearing Diego shoot people really shocked and scared Selena, she couldn’t believe Diego would commit such a horrific crime.
Julian, who was being calmed by Rosa let out a long breath. "Massimo, does my son-in-law know about this news?"
"I sent a message to Martin, sir. Martin should have told Massimo by now." Charlie answered quickly, his eyes showing great fear. Hearing the news of Diego running away, Charlie was already worried, especially with the terrible information given by the police about what Diego was doing. All bad thoughts immediately passed through his mind at this time.
Rosa, who noticed the change in her father’s heartbeat then patted Julian’s back gently. "Relax, Daddy. Diego wouldn’t dare come to us, I’m sure he doesn’t have that much courage."
"Don’t have the guts, Rosa." Selena, who panicked immediately interrupted Rosa’s words. "Diego has shot five cops and he’s currently carrying a gun, it’s very easy for Diego to find us. Moreover, he already knows this place, the house where he has lived for over twenty years."
Rosa immediately closed her eyes hearing Selena’s words, her plan to calm her father down. Selena actually spoke nonsense that made the atmosphere even more chaotic, Rosa could feel her father’s tension again at this time. It seemed that Julian was disturbed by Selena’s spontaneous words.
Charlie who managed to read the situation immediately took Selena away, he wanted to calm Selena who looked panicked. Even though Diego is an older brother to one mother, Selena is angry and disappointed with him after knowing all of Diego’s crimes. Selena, who had felt that Diego was framed by Massimo and his people that night, immediately turned against Diego when his father showed all the evidence of Diego’s crime and Vanessa.
"It’s ok, Dad. Right now we are at home, we are in a safe place. Diego would not possibly dare to do anything, there are many guards who will also protect us. I’m sure Diego can’t approach this house," said Rosa softly.
"Daddy’s really raised a snake, Rosa. Everything Massimo said is true, Diego isn’t very nice to talk to. He’s too greedy for money," said Julian hoarsely, trying to suppress his fear deeply. "If Diego injures any of you Daddy will really feel guilty, Daddy is more willing if Diego takes his anger out on Daddy."
"Daddy." Rosa shrieked loudly. "Don’t talk nonsense, Daddy and we’ll all be fine. Diego wouldn’t have the heart to hurt us all."
Julian raised his face to look at Rosa with a sad look. "He has already shown his true nature, Rosa. Diego poisoned your grandfather by changing his drugs, he was also the mastermind behind the terrible accident that killed your grandmother just because she wanted to control their inheritance, the one who had cared for him since childhood with love. Maybe if he’s going to do another evil thing again, especially now that Diego has so many friends who are struggling in the black world. Daddy’s worried he’s going to be reckless by getting rid of anyone who stands in his way to become the main heir of the Sanders family."
Rosa immediately bit her lower lip hard, hearing her father’s words made her feel scared. Knowing the fact that Diego had been pretending to be good all this time made her even more afraid of Diego. All of Diego’s crimes really scared Rosa, she didn’t want to meet her older brother. The older brother who had always been proud of and pampered by her mother.
"Daddy needs to talk to Massimo, he needs to know about this so he can tighten the guard. Daddy’s worried if Diego hurts Gina," added Julian again.
"I’ll get Daddy’s cell phone inside, Daddy wait here and don’t go anywhere."
Before Julian could answer, they were startled by the entry of a convoy of black cars that had just passed through the gate which was immediately closed tightly again. Even though he hadn’t seen who was in the car, Julian could already guess who the guests who came to the house so early in the morning.
"Daddy..." Rosa sighed nervously.
"They’re Massimo’s people, Rosa."
Rosa immediately turned her face towards her father quickly. "Massimo’s people?" asked Rosa to reassure her, her eyes sparkling with such great relief.
Julian nodded slowly.
And Julian’s words were proven, because not long after the car stopped Martin was seen getting out of the first car with Darius who was not wearing a support cloth. After arguing with Thomas, Darius was finally free from the cloth supporting his hands.
"Martin," Rosa muttered incoherently, seeing her brother-in-law’s confidant appear before her made Rosa relieved. There was a strange feeling that floated in Rosa’s chest at this time when she saw Martin’s appearance at her house.
Martin, who didn’t notice Rosa’s call, chose to greet Julian with the usual respect. "Good morning Mr Sanders, sorry to interrupt your morning. I’m sure you’ve heard some unpleasant news this morning."
Julian nodded slowly. "Yeah, just a moment ago Charlie told me about Diego’s escape from the police station."
Martin smiled. "It’s good that Charlie told you so I don’t need to explain anymore what happened last night. So I hope you and your two daughters can get ready now."
"Get ready, get ready for what, Martin?" asked Rosa, confused.
Martin shifted his gaze from Julian to Rosa without changing his expression. "Preparing to move into Mr Massimo’s house."
"What?"
"Right now Mr. is in the hospital to see the condition of the policemen who shot Diego, he asked me to secure Mrs. Gina’s family as soon as possible. Mr. Massimo was worried that Diego would come to this house, that’s why Mr. asked you and your two daughters to live together with Mr and Mrs Gina in their new home," Martin answered quietly, explaining his purpose in coming to the Sanders house this morning.
Julian’s eyes widened. "Massimo wants us to live with him?" he asked quietly in disbelief.
Martin nodded slowly. "That’s right sir, Mrs. Gina would be very worried if she knew you and her sisters were still living in this house while Diego was out there with deadly weapons. That’s why Mr. Massimo immediately took the initiative to invite you all to live with them."
"But..."
"This is for the safety of all of you, sir. Mr. Massimo can’t guarantee that he will find Diego soon, so he wants to ensure the safety of his family members first before making any further plans," Martin said quickly, cutting Julian off. "Diego is very dangerous indeed, sir. Therefore I hope you will follow Mr. Massimo’s wishes by staying with him and Mrs. Gina for a while, at least until Diego is recaptured."
"Ok, I’ll get ready. I’ll also tell Charlie to come with us," Rosa shouted loudly. "Uh, Charlie can come with us, can’t he?"
Martin pursed his lips. "Of course he can, please tell Charlie to take all the valuable documents with him."
Rosa nodded her head. "Okay."
