His soul-Chapter 591: Rosa and Martin
After the bloody box terror incident allegedly committed by Vanessa, Massimo tightened the guard at his house. He also gave instructions to all his subordinates who were at home not to accept any packages or shipments. Massimo didn’t want to be missed again until he finally had to see Gina again being a victim of terror by her former stepmother.
And it wasn’t just Massimo who was moving, Julian was doing the same thing by tightening the guard at his house. Although until now Massimo’s suspicions have not been proven, Julian has continued to instruct his two daughters to always be careful.
"Stay again tonight, right?" Gina asked quietly to Rosa who was packing her things into her briefcase. Rosa has been staying at Gina and Massimo’s house for the last three days. The bloody box terror incident three days ago made Rosa worried for Gina and Regis’ safety, that’s why she decided to stay the night.
"I do not know."
Gina frowned. "Don’t know, how can you not know?"
"Today I have to replace one of the doctors on duty who was forced to leave because his mother died, he had to return to Madrid. So I had to change his working hours," answered Rosa quietly, explaining what she had to do today at the hospital.
"Replacing your friend’s duty? Didn’t you wake up early, how could you want to replace him? You want to be on duty 24 hours, right?"
Rosa pursed her lips. "Today I did watch from eight in the morning until four in the afternoon, later at four in the afternoon another friend of mine will continue the watch from four to twelve at night and from twelve that night I will go up again until eight in the morning, Gina."
"Oh my God, aren’t you tired?"
"It’s a risk for my job, Gina. So what can I do," answered Rosa quickly, as fast as her movements grabbed Regis from Gina’s arms.
Gina couldn’t help but smile slightly hearing Rosa’s words, as a person who once had dreams of becoming a veterinarian, Gina knows that the responsibility of a doctor is not easy. That’s why she didn’t continue her conversation with Rosa anymore, Gina let Rosa settle for control of Regis before she left for work.
While watching Rosa who was inviting Regis to play, suddenly Martin knocked on the door of Regis’ playroom which was politely open.
"Yes, Martin."
Martin smiled. "I was ordered by Mr Massimo to take Miss Rosa to the hospital this morning, madam."
"Take Rosa to the hospital? Did my husband not go to work today?"
"No." From behind Martin, Massimo appeared and answered Gina’s question quickly. "Today I want to take you and Regis somewhere."
"Where to?"
Massimo smiled. "Secret, you’ll know when you get there."
Gina immediately pursed her lips, she was annoyed at Massimo who still likes to play like this.
Not wanting to be late at the hospital, Rosa finally returned Regis to Gina and immediately grabbed her briefcase that she had tidied up earlier.
"Bye Regis, see you tomorrow," said Rosa softly to Regis who was already in her mother’s arms again.
As if he knew what his aunt had just said, Regis laughed out loud. And the laughter of the smart boy succeeded in making Rosa laugh out loud. After fasting giving Regis a kiss back, Rosa finally rushed to the hospital. As soon as Rosa came out of the room, Martin immediately followed her into the front yard. And Massimo immediately smiled seeing that.
"You did it on purpose, didn’t you?" said Gina suddenly.
Massimo who was looking at the front yard immediately turned to Gina who had just spoken to him. "On purpose? What purpose?"
"Intentionally getting Rosa closer to Martin."
Massimo chuckled. "You know what? My wife is really amazing."
Gina snorted in annoyance. "Of course I know, I’m not a kid to be fooled, Massimo."
"Who called you a child, dear?" asked Massimo again, teasing Gina.
"Massimo I’m serious!"
Massimo chuckled, as Regis kept reaching out to him. Massimo slowly grabbed Regis from Gina’s arms and immediately lifted him into the air, Regis’ laughter suddenly sounded very loud. The boy was happy to have been lifted high into the air like that by his father.
"Massimo, put down Regis. Danger!"
Massimo who was laughing along with Regis ignored Gina’s words, instead he lifted Regis back into the air not long after he put Regis down.
Seeing Regis laughing heartily being treated like that by his father made Gina give up, she knew that her beloved son had the same stubbornness as Massimo. Realizing that she would not be able to bring the father and son’s jokes to life, Gina finally chose to go to the pantry to make lunch for Regis. After Regis was able to raise his own head, Gina had already believed in leaving Regis alone with Massimo. Massimo was also no longer afraid to carry Regis, he was actually happy to have a lot of time alone with his son who was starting to grow teeth. Time sure flies so fast for Massimo, it seems like only yesterday he saw Regis for the first time and now his son is starting to eat. Massimo was truly blessed with double happiness by Gina, the single most sincere and pure woman who had ever been present in his life.

Along the way to the hospital, not a single word came out of the lips of Rosa and Martin. The two of them sat in silence for almost the last fifteen minutes before Rosa was forced to speak while they were stuck in traffic.
"Don’t you really know there’s another way, Martin?" Rosa asked a second time to Martin who was still patient behind the wheel.
Martin smiled. "We’ll need more time if we take that detour, Miss."
"Rosa, just call me Rosa. Don’t use language that is too formal. You make me uncomfortable," said Rosa curtly.
Martin pursed his lips, he slowly pressed the button on the driver’s screen in his car, trying to find another quickest way to get to the hospital where Rosa works.
"Looks like this traffic jam will be over soon, the two cars that crashed in front have been successfully towed by the authorities," Martin said quietly, telling Rosa the road conditions he had just found out who was busy with his cellphone.
Rose nodded slowly. "Yes, it turns out that there was an accident ahead. Oh my God, I hope there are no casualties."
"So how?"
"Well, let’s just wait," answered Rosa quickly, not daring to look at Martin’s face. Rosa felt guilty after previously forcing Martin to find another way.
Martin nodded slowly. "Okay."
Rosa pursed her lips, slowly she put her cell phone back into her shirt pocket. Her heart beat faster, Rosa really couldn’t stop herself from talking. she had to talk it over with Martin right away, with the person who for the past few weeks had been troubling her peace of mind and soul.
"I know that Massimo set us up," said Rosa suddenly, startling Martin who was stepping on the gas pedal of his car. Luckily he managed to hit the brakes so nothing bad happened.
"W..what?"
Rosa swallowed hard, with her cheeks already as red as a tomato. Rosa turned to Martin who was also looking at her. "We’re being arranged by my brother-in-law, aren’t we?"
"You know what? Who told you that?" asked Martin in surprise. Martin didn’t expect Rosa to know about their matchmaking plan.
Rose smiled. "I overheard myself accidentally when Gina was talking to her husband, discussing this matter."
"I haven’t given any answer, Rosa. You don’t have to be afraid, I won’t force you. You are free to give any answer," Martin said quickly. "So be normal to me, don’t feel burdened."
"I’m being normal with you too," Rosa said softly, trying to get rid of all the discomfort that was pounding her chest right now.
Martin pursed his lips. "If you’re being casual with me you shouldn’t have tried to avoid me, Rosa. I’m pretty self-aware of that."
Because the traffic jam began to unravel, Martin then stepped on the gas pedal of his car to continue the journey. While on the way to the hospital both were silent, neither Rosa nor Martin made a sound. Both were lost in their own thoughts, Rosa was embarrassed because Martin knew she was trying to avoid the man. And Martin was silent in shock, not expecting Rosa to know about their arranged marriage plan.
Not only Rosa who was almost late to get to the hospital, almost all the staff who were on duty in the morning experienced the same thing as Rosa who was stuck in traffic because of the previous accident. That’s why Rosa didn’t go straight to the hospital and chose to stay in the car with Martin.
"Why don’t you come down? We’re here."
Rosa took a deep breath, slowly she turned to Martin and said. "Do you agree with this arranged marriage, Martin?"
"Hmm?"
"Answer me, I want to know. Do you agree or not," said Rosa again.
Martin smiled a little. "Honestly I still haven’t thought of such a thing, I still want to devote myself to Mr and his family. That’s why when Mr. Massimo told me he wanted to set us up, I just smiled and said I would wait for your answer first."
"Why wait for my answer first?" asked Rosa curiously.
"Because I know that whatever I think about this matchmaking will not affect you, that’s why I’m waiting for you to make a decision first," Martin replied back.
"So you gave up before fighting like that?"
"Not giving up before fighting, Rosa," replied Martin wisely. "I know what type of man you want, so I’m fairly self-conscious and don’t want to expect more. Alexandre is definitely ten levels above me, from age to job that promises he’s better than me. And I don’t deserve to expect anything more. which I really can’t get."
"Martin ..."
