His soul-Chapter 603: Move on

Meeting Lucas again made Selena more reserved, she who was previously so excited to shop at the mall suddenly became quiet.

"You look pretty good, Luke," Massimo said quietly, praising Lucas honestly. "You look much better than the last time we met."

Lucas smiled. "I’ve moved on from all the bitterness that happened to me, Massimo."

"You must, you must continue to live well. Besides, your child is now in a good place, gathered with her mother up there," said Massimo again.

Gina immediately gripped Massimo’s arm tightly as soon as he finished speaking, Gina was afraid that Lucas would be offended by Massimo’s words.

"It’s ok, Gina. I’m fine, what your husband said is true. I have to move on with my life." Lucas immediately spoke, responding to what Gina had done to Massimo.

Gina turned to Lucas quickly. "Are you really all right? Have you gotten over Giovana?"

"Forgetting, of course not. Giovana my daughter, I will always remember her. I’m just trying to let go of everything that has happened, as I still want to say before. At this time Ana must be happy to meet and gather with her biological mother up there, a figure who she hasn’t seen since she was born into this world," Lucas answered wisely, not a hint of sadness in Lucas when he talked about Giovanna. And this is quite surprising considering how the condition of the wound when they last met in front of the Giovana cemetery almost 2 years ago.

Gina smiled. "I’m proud of you, Luke."

"Life has to go on, Gina. So yeah as you can see right now, I’m still struggling to move on with my life."

Massimo immediately raised his hand and landed it on Lucas’ shoulder. "I’m proud of you, Luke."

Lucas smiled at Massimo’s sincere compliment. "Your son, he looks so extraordinary. What his name was I can’t quite hear."

"Regis Darian del Cano." Massimo said Regis’ full name with great pride.

"Regis Darian...what a good name, I’m sure it wasn’t Gina who chose that name. That name must be yours, right?"

Massimo laughed. "How do you know if I chose that name for him?"

"I know what your tastes are, Massimo," Lucas replied with a laugh no less loud than Massimo’s. "But to be honest, the name really suits him. Regis Darian, I’m sure in the future there will be hundreds of girls who are willing to queue up to be his girlfriend."

"I won’t," said Gina curtly. "My son will be a good man, I will not let him inherit all the bad qualities of his father."

Lucas immediately laughed out loud at Gina’s words, he was so happy to hear what Gina had just said to insinuate Massimo who had such a bad track record before marrying Gina and Lucas knew all about it. That’s why he looks so happy when Gina strictly forbids her son to inherit what Massimo did in his youth.

Massimo himself couldn’t help but smile slightly at Gina’s words, he couldn’t give any answer at all because what Gina said was true.

During Gina and Massimo’s conversation with Lucas, Selena didn’t open her mouth at all. She didn’t feel uncomfortable, it felt so strange to see Lucas again. Even though previously they were only involved in a mutually beneficial relationship, right now Selena felt so embarrassed, she didn’t have the courage to face Lucas like before.

Because the two-hour mall rental time had expired, Massimo then took Gina and the others out of the mall. He didn’t want anyone to find them at the mall, Massimo still didn’t want to let Regis be exposed.

"Come over to our house, Luke. We haven’t enjoyed our time together in a long time," Massimo said quietly to Lucas when they were in the parking lot.

Lucas smiled. "I’ll definitely come, but not now. I still have some work to do."

"Okay then, I won’t force you. What is clear is that you can come anytime at our house, Luke. Our home is wide open for you," said Massimo again.

"Thanks Massimo, I will definitely take the time to come to your house before returning to Italy," Lucas replied back.

Massimo pursed his lips at Lucas’ words, because the cars from the mall visitors started to enter the underground parking area where they are currently, Massimo rushed into the car after he gave Lucas a friendly hug. Not long after Massimo got into the car, the five luxury cars of the same color that were neatly lined up in the VIP parking area began to leave the place very carefully. Lucas waved his hand at Massimo who was also waving to him.

"I’m happy to see you happy, Gina," Lucas said quietly. "You should be happy and Massimo is the right person to make you happy."

After saying that Lucas continued his steps towards his car which was parked not far from where he was standing now, he still had to take care of some pending work. After Giovana died, Lucas completely left his old business. He sold all the assets related to his old business and started his new business even though he had to start all over again.

On the way back home, Selena still remained silent. Luckily no one noticed the change, both Massimo, Gina and Rosa were still focused on Regis who was so happy with his new toy.

When Selena was trying to get rid of her uncomfortable feelings, she was suddenly startled by the sound of her cellphone ringing in her bag. She immediately took out her cell phone and immediately looked serious when she saw Charlie’s name appear on her cell phone screen.

Selena had a serious conversation with Charlie for almost ten minutes, she looked so serious when she spoke it made Gina focus on her right away.

"There is a problem?" Gina asked quietly to Selena who had just put her phone back in her bag.

Selina smiled. "No big deal, Charlie’s just reporting on some of the projects we’re working on."

"Are you serious? You’re not trying to hide things from me, are you?" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Selina smiled. "No my dear sister, I’m serious. If you don’t believe me please confirm it directly with Charlie."

"Thanks for that," said Gina gratefully. "Obviously, if there’s a problem you have to tell me everything. You can’t keep it to yourself."

"Yes Gina, I promise."

Gina smiled. "I’m proud of you, Selena. You’ve done a great job on Diego’s part."

"I just did what Daddy and Charlie taught me, so you don’t have to praise me like that. I could fly to Titan if you compliment me like that," Selena joked.

Gina pursed her lips, Gina immediately grabbed Selena’s hand and squeezed it tightly. Gina suddenly brought her face close to Selena’s cheek and said, "Looks like Luke still has feelings for you, Selena."

"Gina!!!"
