Julian was trying hard not to smile as Selena shared what Lucas had said, either in person or in a message he had just sent.

"Have you given him an answer yet?" asked Julian carefully.

Serena shook her head slowly. "Not yet, Dad."

"Then how do you feel? Do you want to accept it?"

Serena shook her head slowly. "I don’t know, Dad. I’m confused, it’s all too soon."

"Match and death are two things that humans can’t predict, my dear," said Julian lovingly. "If Lucas is really serious about you, tell him to come see Daddy tonight."

"Daddy..."

"We’ve known Lucas for quite a while, even though he previously had children with other women, but it seems his feelings for you still haven’t changed. That’s why Daddy wants him to come see Daddy, talk to Daddy gently," added Julian again with are you serious.

Julian squeezed Selena’s left hand gently. "Daddy’s not forcing you to get married anytime soon, Selena. Daddy just wants to see how serious he is, Daddy has to make sure he’s really serious or just messing around with Daddy’s precious daughter."

I will ask my future husband to postpone our wedding blessing schedule."

"Marriage? You want to get married?"

Vanessa nodded slowly. "Our second marriage, my husband and I have both failed in maintaining the integrity of our previous marriage. And even though we have only known each other for a few months, my future husband and I have decided to unite ourselves in the marriage bond until our death."

Massimo, who was still looking for information about the woman in front of him, smiled a little, instead of giving permission he still wanted to open his desk drawer and took out a small rectangular book that turned out to be a blank checkbook. Without speaking, Massimo then grabbed his pen and began to write something on the check.

"Your wedding gift from me," Massimo said quietly as he stretched out his hand that was holding a check towards Vanessa who was still disguised under a false identity. "Take this." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Vanessa was surprised, she didn’t think it would be this easy to deceive a Massimo del Cano.

"It’s not a lot, but I hope it can be a pleasant enough gift for both of you," added Massimo again. "Let’s get it."

With a little trembling, Vanessa accepted the check that was given by Massimo, her eyes immediately widened when she saw the nominal stated on the check.

"This is a lot, sir. I don’t deserve it, I am a new employee at RedFox," Vanessa stuttered, she was really surprised to see the amount of money Massimo wrote on the check. Living in simplicity with doctor Jose made Vanessa so surprised when she saw the amount of money Massimo gave her.

"It’s a gift from me personally to you, it has nothing to do with your tenure at RedFox. Think of it as a small gift from a friend," Massimo said softly with a smile.

"This is not a small gift, sir. This is a lot of money," Vanessa answered with sparkling eyes, although her face had changed but her character had not. She’s still so crazy about money.

Massimo thinned his lips. "You can use the money to go on a honeymoon with your husband, so when exactly is your wedding?"

"This Saturday, sir."

Massimo nodded slowly. "Saturday, yes. Ok, you can come back in Monday next week. I’ll give you a week off."

Vanessa’s lips were wide open, she really didn’t think her plan would go this smoothly.

"Give my regards to your future husband, oh yeah, what’s your future husband’s name?"

"Jose, he’s a doctor," Vanessa answered subconsciously.

Massimo’s eyes flashed, he looked so satisfied to hear Vanessa’s answer.

"Ok, say hello to doctor Jose. You can go back to your room, Gre," said Massimo again.

Vanessa nodded excitedly, she didn’t realize that Massimo was watching her actions right now. "Excuse me sir and once again thank you for your gift and understanding, I am truly grateful."

After saying goodbye so politely, Vanessa then left Massimo’s room.

Massimo, who had been recording his conversation with Vanessa, then called Martin through the intercom, Martin who was at his desk went straight to Massimo’s room.

"Investigate a doctor named Jose who lives in the same house as Gresia, I have a bad feeling about both of them."

"Okay, sir. I’ll check it out right away."
