Chapter 332: Break His Emotions.

Arissa stepped into the ward with a brighter expression as she walked into the ward through the door.

Stephen stood behind the couple, still scared of how to face his daughter after all these years and in disbelief. He felt feverish in his head and sensed it running down his spine.

The chatter in the ward reduced and Stephen fixed his gaze softly on Jocelyn. He felt no resemblance and connection and decided to shift it.

Taking it off Jocelyn, his gaze fell on Adele and his body jolted like someone electrocuted. His heart stilled and the world around him ceased to exist at that moment.

Adele’s eyes were also fixed on Stephen. His gaze was filled with shock, love, and more terrifying emotions like regret. Adele stared at him out of curiosity but she couldn’t figure out what caused her to stare longer.

Even when the man walked directly towards her, she did not notice how close he was to her until she felt his hand on her face.

"Who are you?" for some reason, those words first left her lips. She darted her eyes towards Arissa who was already seated on the couch with Nicklaus and when her sister gave her a soft nod, she relaxed a little. Her sister won’t bring in a threat to her ward and let him touch her.

Richard wasn’t left out in the world of surprises but Jocelyn was. She could tell who the man could be from that sandy brown hair of his that matched Adele’s own.

Stephen parted his lips and released a shaking gasp from his parted lips. Adele raised her brow, wondering why the man acted all emotional before her.

He raised his second hand and cupped both sides of her face with his hands. His emotions ran wild and rough. His tears fought to be released to lessen the pain and joy he felt.

His daughter was an exact copy of his wife. The girl before him, though seated on her hospital bed and clothes was tall and had a slim build. Her deep-set green eyes were beautiful and the only thing that made her look different from Beatrice was the fact that she was taller and had his exact sandy brown hair, meanwhile, Beatrice had night black hair when she had hair. What else could he wish for after having a beautiful daughter like her?

His hands on her face trembled and tears rolled out of his eyes. His heart clenched in pain and yelled out from happiness at the same time. Also, everything left him confused.

Stephen’s hands moved around Adele’s face. He acted like someone trying to make sure the figure before him wasn’t a monument.

He felt her face and when her breath fanned his hand, his eyes widened. "Rebekah..." his voice, which was hoarse came surprisingly audible enough, awakening out his starting words slowly at intervals, "My daughter," he wept and pulled the shocked Adele into a hug. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

Richard choked on his saliva when he heard what the stranger called Adele. His heartbeat tripled and he turned to Arissa, his eyes filled with questions.

Arissa had her eyes fixed on the hugging pairs with tears at the corners of her eyes thus, Richard turned to Jocelyn and when he saw how satisfied she looked, he realized he heard right.

Stephen couldn’t believe it. Despite seeing her before him, he felt her presence remained unreal. He wasn’t able to completely stomach the fact that his daughter still breathed.

Questions ran through Adele’s head. Rebekah? Her type of hair color? Daughter? And the foreign emotions and new type of happiness she felt all surprised her.

She felt a bond with the man hugging her. Could it be..... Her brain processes and immediately, she gasped.

She forcefully pulled away from the hug and stared into the man’s eyes. Arissa was taken aback by Adele’s sudden action. She rose to her feet but Nicklaus held her back.

It took everything in Stephen not to cry when Adele pulled away from him and stared at him the way she did. She seared him with her gaze and it left him feeling more guilty.

He stood still, his hands trembling at his sides as he made an inward prayer to the angels above and God. He asked God to grant him grace on this and help him so he would be accepted by his daughter.

It would be greater than the pain when he hasn’t found her if she should hold grudges against him and his wife. He couldn’t imagine going back to inform Beatrice that he found their daughter but her hate towards them was greater than they expected.

Adele kept on staring at the man likely to be her father and tension filled the minds in the room. She has the final say in all of this

She was no longer a minor and need no parent to survive on.

Arissa clenched her fist softly and her eyes hurt from not blinking but the situation at hand left her determined not to blink.

She assured Stephan that Adele won’t reject him but now, the situation at hand says otherwise.

However, Adele’s mind and thoughts ran differently from the people in the ward with her. While they thought of the worst that could happen, the thoughts that ran in Adele’s mind were thoughts of appreciation.

She was grateful to Arissa for everything and do not think she would be able to pay her back again even if she does it in a thousand folds.

Her father standing before her was all thanks to Arissa and she honestly do not know how to feel. She felt all emotions running through her at the same time until she was no longer able to move a muscle, in fear she might turn numb.

"I_" Stephen proceeded to explaining himself but Adele cut him off. She gave him her brightest smile and before he would smile back at her, Adele pulled him into a tight line crushing hug, using all the energy in her.

"Father," she whispered, crying happily, "Thank you for not giving up on me,"

Jocelyn was the first to let out the deep breath she never knew she had been holding and Richard followed, shutting his eyes out of relieve.

Arissa tensed back slumped into the couch and before her back would fully collide with the couch, Nicklaus wrapped his arms around her and rested her head on his chest.

Arissa wrapped her arm around him and buried her face into his chest. "I was scared, I thought she would break her father emotions," she told him.

Nicklaus just smiled and pat her soothingly on her head. Speaking about father, he still haven’t told her who her real father was.

Jocelyn passed a gaze over to the couple and seeing them embrace so sweetly, she pouted and her eyes twinkled like that of a fan girl. She admired them a lot.
