Chapter 359: Please Do Not Purchase

The nurse count down to five as she stared at Arissa back, waiting for when it would happen. The moment her countdown got to zero, the elevator door was opened and the man she had been waiting for showed himself.

"Father!" Arissa stumbled backward in shock and fear but in the next moment, her expression turned strong and her voice firm, "Why are you here, Mr. Lincoln?"

Were the heavens kidding her or was it her eyes? How did Alfred get here and what in the Lord’s name do he want here?

The worst thing was he met her here and this hallway was for Adele alone. How did this man get here? Her spinning head that was once clouded with thoughts of Nicklaus cleared and her survival instinct kicked in.

It was obvious her father doesn’t have good intentions for coming here. His manic aura explains it all. He was clutching what looked like a gun inside his waistband.

The sight of this made Arissa’s blood drain. She was scared beyond repair. She hopes she’s wrong because if she should be right, that means her father was holding a gun to visit one of his daughters.

Since it was her father, Arissa was supposed to feel safe, she should but she could not help the question that found their way into her head. Would the gun be for security or to take a life?

"My sweet little, Rissa," Alfred called her with a newfound deadly low voice as he strolled out of the elevator.

Arissa swallowed. Her eyes were fixed on his hand holding unto his waistband as beads of sweat left her. He held whatever weapon he was holding unto there impatiently as if he can’t wait to kill whoever he came for.

She tried not to imagine the negative but Arissa knew what she was seeing and again, who says he won’t kill them if he wants to.

She wasn’t sure about herself but she was sure about Adele. For her father to inject those substances into her, he was set to kill her that day and today makes no difference.

Her throat ran dry.

And what disgusting nickname did he just give to her? Only Mr. Adams and Richard uses that name on her. Who does he think he is?

Most importantly, she ask again, how did he know this place? They made sure the place was well remoted, it only takes information from an insider for the next person to find this place.

Arissa turned to the Nurse a bit far away and the moment she turned, she met the nurse’s gaze on her. The normal pretentious light in her eyes which Arissa always see through was gone. Rather, she made it open, she made her intentions open and only pure evil filled those eyes of hers.

The nurse’s lips slowly curled upwards. She took off her fake blonde wig and let her black hair pour before hiding her wig under her desk.

Arissa turned back to the man before her. It was as if this was all planned_ wait, what was she saying? As if what? No, all of this was surely planned!

She turned back to the nurse and holy dear Lord, there was no one there. Rather, the new black-haired woman matched towards Adele’s door.

Arissa’s breath hitched. Jocelyn! Adele! Her sisters are in there, what does this nurse want to do? She raised her feet to walk to the nurse but Alfred’s voice halts her.

"Cassandra," he called the nurse. The lady stopped and turned to him, "Why don’t you stay back and enjoy this show first? You could do that later," he said politely, careful not to offend her.

Casandra nodded at him and with a sly smile she shot at Arissa, she went back to her seat. Arissa’s heart thumped so badly in her ribcage.

She faced her father, "What are you doing here?" her terrified inside did not show as she struggled hard to maintain her detached poise meanwhile she crumbled with fear on her inside.

Alfred smiled at her. He smells her fear and he loves it. Her fear smells so good but it hurt him her expression did not show it.

Had it been her expression shown it, he would have taken a snap of that expression and framed it on his wall. However, his ability to sniff her fear should be enough. A little more seconds and she would show how scared she is.

"A friend of mine told me that my daughter is being treated here. Don’t you think it’s high time I visit my loving daughter?" mockery laced his voice, his true intention sipping off lazily.

Arissa raised a brow at him, "Whoever gave you the address never informed you that your kind is not needed here." she hissed.

Alfred’s smile was immediately washed off his face. How could she manage to still be this way? Perhaps he hasn’t scared her enough. At that thought, he let the gun out of his waistband and dangled it in his fingers.

Arissa gasped in fear when Alfred brought out the black deadly weapon. She blinked at the gun and looked at her father.

"Don’t worry, I won’t use this on you... Well, that depends on your answer to my question," Alfred told her with a happy glint in his eyes when he saw fear in her expression.

Arissa manages to roll her eyes at him. She can’t give him the satisfaction that she was scared. She turned to Adele’s door, the nurse was now seated.

She planned to run in and lock the door in case things goes out of hand but unfortunately, the ward was a bit far from the elevator.

She could not believe her father stood before her with a gun. Her father can be so many things but she never imagined this, she never dreamt of this.

Does her mother also agree to this? How did he get in here? What happened to the security cameras? Would she die now? Has her father finally lost it?

And Nicklaus! Where’s Nicklaus!!?

She forced herself to calm down by doing a breathing exercise. She inhales and exhales for like a minute before parting her lips again, "What do you want?" her voice came out amused.

Alfred got infuriated again with her tune. "I want the documents," he snapped crazily.

Arissa took a step back, "The documents?" she repeated, "Why would I give something like that to you? Did you even ask if I know where they are?" she asked him firmly.

And giving those answers turned out to be the worst mistake she made. Before she knew it, Alfred stood before her with a flaring nose to express his anger.

Arissa could not believe the man before her to be her father. Alfred was a good pretender. From childhood, he had been patient. She came to know the real him two months ago.

She took a step back but Alfred took another forward. He trapped her with no escape route for her. Even if she would try to escape, she would die escaping.

He came here for business.

Alfred gripped her neck and slammed her back on the wall, "Where. ARE. The. DOCUMENTS!!" he screamed at her face.

Arissa gasped strongly at the sudden hold. His hand choked her strongly and before Arissa’s respect would stop her, she landed a hot slap on Alfred’s cheek.

Alfred let go of him when she slapped him so hard that way. His mouth bleeds from the slap which made him more annoyed.

Arissa pushed away from her but before she would take a step away, he dragged her from her upper arm and knocked the side of her head with the butt of the gun.

Arissa’s head turned dizzy. Blood immediately rolled down to her face from the side of her head. Alfred pushed her to the wall again.

This time, he slammed her head to the wall. Arissa gritted her teeth from the pain. He gripped her head and gave it another hard slam to the wall.

Arissa was unable to see clearly and that was when it became strongly plain to her that her father was set to kill her. He wasn’t holding back.

Arissa saw life slipping from her the third time he slammed her head into the wall that way. She raised her nails to her neck and wickedly pressed them into his pulse, drawing blood from it.

She can’t let herself get killed. She no longer cares if this man birthed her.

Alfred let go when he felt that sharp pain. He pressed his hand to his neck and luckily for him, her nails did not go in deep.

He smiled devilishly. Now, he would kill this bastard daughter and focus on Nicklaus. She shouldn’t worry, he would send Nicklaus as a companion soonest.

Arissa drooped on the floor to catch her breath when Alfred let go of her. The man haven’t had enough so he picked her up again by her neck.

Arissa was about to slap his hand to free herself but her hand froze halfway. He pointed the gun at her head and the world stood still.
