Chapter 200: Killing himself(2)

Cyrus’s eyes snapped open when he realized where his brain went into. The words were a hindrance to pass since that was the strategy that would ultimately help him succeed in this war.

However, the consequences were still harder than he could determine. ’Blasing myself.. but..’

He had no buts and ifs. The desire to finish the monster in front of his eyes was far more than the wish to claim the throne. To get the vengeance of his last loved ones, he would need to choose one thing among many.

At this point, Cyrus’s breath was getting deeper as his chest lifted and relaxed. Without tearing his gaze from the other monster flying up in the sky, he spoke loudly, "Doesn’t matter if I win or not. But making you lose will be my finest success."

"Then you are dreaming, boy." Almen commented back with the pulled upwards smirk down on his looks. "These powers are older than you. Few days and nights training can help you achieve what I have achieved for being alive for centuries? Forget about it."

The desperation was very much high in his mind. Cyrus knew that this was a dying situation for him as he stood against the biggest monster, King Almen, who could finish him up in the next few seconds if he let his guards down. The thought brought an unkind chill down his spine which made his anger rise in his mind.

But this time, he knew that he needed to work with his mind and in a calmer manner. Otherwise, the chances that the opportunity would slip from his hands are too high to take a risk.

Cyrus took a deep breath to not hear his gaze from the preditaror. He could vividly see the army down on his face but he didn’t stop him from counting the next attack. Cyrus used his leftover energy either to throw the ball, or to clash against Almen with his chest, wings and fight with the sword.

The constant clashing in the sky raised other’s concern. They all many times, the lighting happening as the dark clouds were all ready for a blast on the earth. With the amount of pressure both the giant vampires were putting upon themselves and the environment, it was extremely dangerous. They all had the gut feeling that something bad was supposed to occur at any time.

However, that didn’t stop them from doing his task to achieve what he aims. Cyrus continued to fight like a warrior, despite the multiple wounds oozing blood out from them. For once, King Almen had clashed the sword against his biceps and stomach too wisely. The wound turned black and blue and Cyrus could feel his energy draining in every second.

But that didn’t stop him from rising high in the sky. While this amused Almen, he was still proud, "You are stronger than I thought. You did a good job in keeping yourself still needed in various ways."

"Ah!" A scoff left from Cyrus’s lips but he didn’t deny the eye contact, "Did you think I came here unprepared for you then?"

"I never thought you would be so powerful within a few days of learning that you have something special in yourself. A new Cyrus..a true picture of your stubborn father. He wouldn’t give up similar to how you don’t, and I can truly say you have your mother and father’s blood."

But with this, King Almen’s eyes narrowed and the smirk disappeared from his face. "Yet, you are a threat which needs to be wiped out from this land and I will not leave any evidence of your existence either."

"Not before I do the same with you.." Cyrus mumbled under his breath, and finally, he closed his eyes for a few seconds to reopen them.

This time again, his lowered wings were raised back and did all the flaps. However, Cyrus had already considered his second option of what King had told him. ’Defeating him is like an impossible task..’ until he carried out what he had saved for some other time.

His hands went behind his body to feel the dagger lying in his pocket which ultimately gave him the sign that he still has a chance. After all, Almen’s weakness lies with him now.

But at the same thought, his heart crashed into a thousand pieces. Chances of him surviving such a serious attack if he does commit what he plans to do. Yet the thought that his loss brought some unkind joy in his heart.

Cyrus’s lips were pursed into a straight line, as he finally gripped the dagger behind his body. He kept it hidden and didn’t let Almen leave his sight even for a minute a second. ’I need to do this..for everyone..to end it here for good..’

However, with courage, there also came the sadness that dwelled upon his heart. Despite his vampire state already controlling his brain, he could never forget the beautiful face of his dear wife. He would need to leave her for once and good for his affairs..won’t this be simply to be partial for her?

He was too cruel to her at this point but believing in himself, Cyrus knew what he was doing. Finally, he started to rush in King Almen’s direction without taking a break. He was like lightning that was ready to strike the monster in front of his eyes. The hatred filled eyes didn’t leave but on seeing Almen not ready and simply laughing at him was the perfect opportunity for him to convert his thought into a proper executed action.

"Aghhh..."

Out of the blue, the moment and time held in the middle when King Almen’s smile wiped out. He felt the sharp pain down on his stomach and then, he looked back at Cyrus with his bulged eyes. "y-You...this...."

"I told you, I will not come unprepared. If I can gather such a big army to defeat you,. You should have thought before that I would know about the secret to your death or not..." Cyrus told him and the dagger only went tight in Almen’s body.

The blood dropped out like a waterfall and King Almen’s body had no further positive reaction. The thought that his precious blood was downing and how the pain affected him right now, Almen understood the situation too clearly.

"Y-You...us..used..poison..."

"Not position but an element which was made to kill you back then. A tale will end only when it brings back its past.." Cyrus’s words were bought to put Almen in shock. Before and how much he tried to push Cyrus, he didn’t budge.

But at that moment, Cyrus’s brain struck. He knew the essence of time too well and to not let his hard earned opportunity leave his hand out with so ease.

He took a deep breath, to finally close his eyes to recall one face in his mind, ’I’m sorry, Alice...’
