Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying-Chapter 558 - 177: Malfoy and Astoria
When Vid returned to the scorched land, he saw from a distance that Hagrid and Nobeta were gone, and the students were a bit chaotic.
"Quick! Bring them over here!"
"Careful, it hurts!"
"Do you need water? I know the Aguamenti spell!"
"Hurry up, what are you waiting for?"
Vid casually grabbed someone passing by and asked, "What happened?"
"Weren’t you here just now?" Leian was a bit surprised, then said, "Nobeta accidentally sneezed, and then... you saw it."
He shrugged helplessly and casually helped a lower-grade student repair his robe, which had been mostly burned away.
"Why didn’t I see Hagrid?" Vid asked as he walked toward the center of the chaos.
"Everyone’s shouting seemed to frighten Nobeta a bit, Hagrid barely managed to get her back into the cave, and now he’s probably trying to calm that big guy down!" Leian said.
As they spoke, a low roar came from the cave, echoing like waves, making it seem as if the entire forest fell silent for a moment.
After a brief pause, Vid continued to walk forward, unsurprisingly discovering that the worst injured was the unfortunate Malfoy.
His wizard robe was half undone, and his originally pale skin showed large, terrifying burns, the blood-red and black color was shocking.
Although most of the students present didn’t like Slytherin, their basic morals and sympathy hadn’t disappeared, and many students gathered around Malfoy with concern and fear, while Percy, Penelope, and a few other senior students carefully used healing spells.
Malfoy was biting his lip, tears streaming from the pain, but this time he didn’t shout, "I’m going to tell my father," instead, he gasped, "Madam Pomfrey, I need Madam Pomfrey!"
"This is terrible!" Hermione said anxiously, "We need to get the injured to the school hospital quickly."
"Don’t worry," Ron comforted, "Madam Pomfrey can fix these small injuries in no time."
Malfoy glared at him viciously, "Easy for you to say, it’s not you who’s in pain!"
Ron pointed at Harry beside him, sarcastically saying, "Harry broke his arm before and didn’t cry like you, Draco darling."
Malfoy immediately showed an extremely disgusted expression, "Don’t call me such a disgusting name, who do you think you are?"
"Enough!" Percy suddenly said angrily, "Anyone who argues again will lose twenty points! I mean it!"
He gave his youngest brother a stern look, then put down his wand and said, "For now, this is the best we can do, let’s get back to school as soon as possible."
"But Hagrid hasn’t come out yet," Penelope frowned, "Without Hagrid, we better not venture into the forest on our own."
"Let me see," Vid moved through the crowd, checked Malfoy’s injuries, then reached into his pocket for a moment and took out a slender crystal bottle.
Malfoy had been watching him with a skeptical look, and as he saw him open the bottle and aim it at his wound, he hurriedly asked, "What is this?"
"If your nose isn’t malfunctioning, this is burn ointment."
Considering his injury, Vid didn’t mind his attitude and said in a fairly gentle tone, "To be precise, it’s the best kind."
Since the last mission to rescue Hayley on the island ended, Vid had gradually received various magic potions from Professor Snape and Madam Pomfrey — for treating colds, detoxification, wound healing, blood replenishment, and more, all of which were more effective than the ones he made himself.
He couldn’t help it, he had little practice time allocated for potions, and his level was only considered excellent among students, no match for a master of potions like Professor Snape.
The light green potion flowed from the bottle’s opening, and Vid softly chanted a spell. The potion, almost as if it had its own will, crawled along the wound, eventually covering all the burns.
A few seconds later, the redness and swelling of the wound rapidly subsided, the frightening red and yellow burns gradually turned into a vaguely red mark, some charred skin fell away, and a few thumb-sized blisters that had just swelled up also disappeared.
"Wonderful!" Astoria said happily, "Looks like you’re recovering, Malfoy!"
"But my shoulder still hurts!" Malfoy shouted loudly, carefully poking himself with his hand and immediately yelling out in pain. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"Does it really hurt that much?" Harry asked doubtfully.
Malfoy grimaced, "I really wish you could try how it feels, Potter!"
Astoria said helplessly and puzzled, "Why are you still so confrontational when you’re injured, you’re really not afraid everyone will leave you in the Forbidden Forest!"
Though knowing Hagrid, being a professor, wouldn’t leave the students behind and leave by himself, Malfoy’s face turned pale as if somewhat frightened by the words.
"After all, these injuries were caused by a fire dragon," Vid explained, "The surface skin has mostly healed under the effect of the potion, but deep down, it hasn’t—if you don’t touch the wound, it shouldn’t affect normal movement."
Malfoy skeptically but carefully draped his robe and took a few steps, indeed no longer feeling the previous knife-like pain.
He hesitated a bit, wanting to express thanks, but didn’t utter it out loud.
While he hesitated, Vid was already pulled away by others. After all, Malfoy was not the only student burned, he just had the most severe injuries.
Malfoy dared not move greatly, carefully tidied his clothes, and caught someone inching around him out of the corner of his eye. Looking up, it turned out to be Harry, who mockingly asked, "What? Want to interview me on how it feels to be injured?"
