Hogwarts: The Mafia Lord of Slytherin-Chapter 637: [] The Final Clash Begins
Erwin Cavendish’s gaze swept across the battlefield. It was chaotic, but controlled.
"It seems your experiment’s fate has come to an end," Erwin declared, his voice cutting through the clash of magic and steel. "Although you were well-prepared, your schemes are useless against overwhelming power. Your men are no match for the wizards. This is an undeniable fact, just as you are no match for me."
As he spoke, Erwin waved his hand. The massive serpent that had been tearing at the spectral dragon behind him slithered back, entering his body.
He casually batted away the dragon charging toward him, dismissing it with a flick of his wand. The dragon dissolved into purple smoke, then reformed right next to Erwin, merging with his own magical aura.
Erwin and Emperor Zheng Qin exchanged a glance.
The next moment, as if they had planned it beforehand, their figures vanished from the battlefield.
They reappeared on the cliffs overlooking the sea, far from the borders of China. Without a word, they immediately began to duel.
They were now officially at war.
They had left the territory to invoke their full power; within the borders, they would be suppressed by the ancient wards. To fight with their full strength, they had to step outside.
Everyone on the battlefield saw the two leaders disappear. Then, in the eastern sky, two beams of light—one black and purple, the other pure, blinding white—shot straight into the heavens.
Even though they were currently inland, far from the duel’s epicenter, they could still see the light in the sky and feel the surging, powerful aura emanating from the two titans.
As Erwin and Emperor Zheng Qin officially began their battle, the sky resembled a dye vat. Two pigments had been poured in; the colors couldn’t blend, yet they intertwined.
Dark magic and Ancient Magic occupied half the horizon each.
Meanwhile, on the cliffs, Erwin and Emperor Zheng Qin attacked without mercy.
As their arms swung, raw magical energy coalesced into storms that surged toward each other. A clash of dark and purple hurricanes collided, then separated instantly, the hurricane dissipating into nothing but ozone and ash.
Emperor Zheng Qin waved his hand, and a large amount of moisture rose from the ocean below, condensing into a draconic shape. He infused it with his dark energy, transforming the water dragon into a construct of obsidian shadows.
The dragon’s scales were clearly visible, shimmering with a malevolent sheen. Emperor Zheng Qin positioned himself at the dragon’s head, his hands clasped behind his back.
He looked at Erwin. He didn’t rush to attack but instead watched him, waiting for a response.
Erwin smiled. Since Emperor Zheng Qin wanted to play this game, he would play along.
Erwin lightly stomped his foot. The next moment, purple lotus flowers began to bloom from beneath him. With each lotus blooming, a surge of magical energy rose. At the center of the purple lotus, ripples flowed like water.
They looked like exquisite works of art, but Emperor Zheng Qin’s expression gradually turned serious. From these lotus flowers, which resembled works of art, Emperor Zheng Qin sensed an intense sense of crisis.
Erwin stood atop a giant lotus flower. Small lotus flowers floated around him. Erwin reached out and held up a lotus flower.
"Then, Your Majesty, let us begin."
Erwin’s words fell, and he made the first move. His eyes instantly sharpened. A murderous aura swirled around him, and he hurled the lotus flower in his hand toward Emperor Zheng Qin.
The black dragon beneath Emperor Zheng Qin’s feet swung its tail, shattering the lotus flower. The lotus flower exploded the instant its tail touched it.
The black dragon roared—whether from anger or pain, it was unclear. Some damage appeared on its tail, but it quickly recovered.
Emperor Zheng Qin was not one to be passively attacked. The moment the black dragon beneath his feet recovered, Emperor Zheng Qin waved his hand. The black dragon swung its claw at Erwin.
Erwin stood still. The lotus flowers around him automatically floated up, blocking the black dragon’s claw. Instantly, a series of explosions rang out.
Whirlpools formed on the sea surface, but they had no effect on Erwin or Emperor Zheng Qin.
The two men locked eyes. A brief exchange of probing gave them a general idea of each other’s strength.
Erwin noticed something. He looked at Emperor Zheng Qin. "Your essence... it is incomplete."
Emperor Zheng Qin’s expression turned grim. He didn’t answer Erwin’s question. Erwin didn’t seem to mind; instead, a smile appeared on his face.
"I didn’t expect you to have your essence damaged," Erwin mused. "I’m really curious. Who did this? Or what did you do with your essence?"
Emperor Zheng Qin still didn’t speak. He seemed to have been exposed by Erwin and became enraged. He attacked without warning, launching a blast of dark energy.
Erwin smiled. Although he didn’t know how Emperor Zheng Qin’s current condition had occurred, Erwin knew that his chances of winning had increased.
Thinking this, Erwin dodged Emperor Zheng Qin’s attack. With a wave of his hands, lotus blossoms floated toward him, rapidly converging. Soon, a gigantic lotus flower materialized in his grasp.
Then, Erwin waved his hands again. The gigantic lotus flower slammed directly into Emperor Zheng Qin.
Black energy surged around Emperor Zheng Qin, enveloping his body and the black dragon within it. The lotus flower crashed directly into the black mist.
The next moment, a deafening roar resounded. Hurricanes whipped up on the sea.
Erwin stared at the site of the explosion, his fists clenched slightly.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Julian Wang and his men, engaged in battle, suddenly stopped. All the elite Qin warriors paused.
The expressions of Julian Wang and the other generals changed drastically. The next moment, they all gave the same order.
"Go all out and finish them off!"
At this moment, all the Qin soldiers seemed to truly begin their battle, unleashing formidable fighting power! They caught the wizards completely off guard.
Grindelwald used a spell to send a Qin soldier flying. He looked at Dumbledore beside him. "What is going on? Why are they suddenly fighting so desperately?"
Dumbledore frowned, looking at the black and purple hues on the horizon. "There might be a change in the battle over there! In any case, they want a quick victory, so we must hold them off!"
Grindelwald nodded. Besides, Voldemort, Old Tom, and the wizarding commanders on various battlefields also noticed the problem.
The wizards, too, began fighting desperately. They didn’t know what had happened, but that’s how war is; as long as the enemy doesn’t achieve their objective, theirs is achieved.
On the battlefield, the fighting became increasingly intense. Everyone was fighting desperately; wizards and Qin soldiers alike were rapidly losing men!
Corpses lay on the ground, the imminent threat of death weighing heavily on everyone.
On the cliffs, the mist gradually dissipated. Emperor Zheng Qin’s body was revealed.
He wasn’t in good condition; his face was pale, and upon closer inspection, a bloody gash could be seen on his neck.
