Hollywood Zenith-Chapter 1237: Hope-2
Ellie opened her eyes to find herself restrained and tied up to a chair. She looked and saw two men standing in a distance but she couldn't make out ehat they looked like because of the strong overhead light and the other part of the room being dark.
She was gagged so only muffled voices came out when she tried to speak. The first thought that came to her mind was these were the people sent by Terry Green to exact revenge on her but she had seen the news, the Green family was a mess and she knew it had something to do with the mysterious man that saved her that day, she clearly remembered his face.
"She is up? I told you to measure the dosage."
"I am sorry. It's hard to ger a clear idea of her weight after all her body is pure muscle."

She heard them talk about her and tried desperately to get their attention but they kept standing in the shadows.
After few minutes, few more people came inside making the small room crowded. They were wearing masks to hide their identity but from their clothes, Ellie could tell they weren't normal people.
From full body armour to rifle and guns, they looked like those special forces people she would see in the movies which scared her a bit. She didn't know why these people were going to such length to kidnap a poor girl like her.
"I hope my man weren't rough with you but since time is of the essence, I will get straight to point." A tall man came closer resting his hand on the table in front of her. He leaned closer staring right into her blue eyes.
"Is this the person who saved you that day?" He pulled a medium size photo of Samuel from the sleeve and asked.
"You could simply answer with a nod or a shake but think carefully about your situation. It's wouldn't be a good choice for you to lie to us."
Ellie recognized Samuel instantly, the shone in her eyes was noticed by the man but he stayed patient waiting for her to make a choice.
Ellie was perplexed. She knew these people didn't have any good intentions towards her or the young man that saved her. But she was not a fighter, she might be on the rugby field that was a completely different scenario.
In the end, she only managed to let out a shrug which wasn't among her options.
The masked man sighed heavily and pulled out his gun and aimed right at her forehead. Ellie was shocked but soon fear took over maming her close her eyes as her life flashed before her eyes.
Then sh me heard the loudest bang of her life but somehow, she still retained her life. Her whole body was shaking with fear as she began to sob uncontrollably.
"Open your eyes. It's not fun taking a life when the other person is looking away. I gave you a choice but you still made a mistake. It's not that we don't know what happened that day but we want to confirm it so don't try to pretend that you don't know anything." The man said in a more serious tone making Ellie shudder.
She knew the man saved his life but she still had dreams ans aspirations, a drive to do something with her life pulling herself from gutter and actually prove to society that she was not a failure.
That's when she remembered what that man said to her that day. He told her that he would protect her and she wouldn't need to worry about it. Either way, he was someone who could take care of himself unlike her who was facing death even when she was innocent.
That's when she felt something warm dripping down her neck. She didn't feel the pain but the bullet dod grazed her right ear, the pumping adrenaline was keeping the pain at bay.
"Don't worry it's just a scratch. You have sustained worse injuries on the field. Now lets get back to the topic, was he the one who saved you that day? There are only two choices." The man said again. His deathly aura was enough to make Ellie feel fear.
Suddenly something strange happened, the overhead light flickered before something akin to a radio chatter was heard in the room.
All the emn became alert with their guns drawn. They weren't expecting company.
"What the hell are you guys? Say something dammit!" One of the man kept contacting his men who were guarding outside but didn't get any response from them.
The man who was asking Ellie questions narrowed his eyes feeling the presence of people outside the gate. He was a squad leader of the most elite division of MI7, their senses were on par with the best of the best.
As expected, they heard a soft knock on the door. Two men aimed their rifles at the door while others called out trying to see if they were their comrades but there was no response.
Suddenly, a firm voice called out to them from the other side.
"Peter, you son of a bitch. Have you stooped so low that you are going around kidnapping young girls?"
Everyone was shocked by the brash tone of the stranger but the man in question recognized the voice immediately.
"Steve, we don't have anything to talk about. Why don't you simply leave and we will consider this matter finished?"
"I am sorry I can't do that. I have ten of your men in my custody. Half of them are injured but nothing serious, if you are ready to make a trade just open the door."
"How do I know that you are not playing tricks on me? I have seen how your operate. Countless people were tricked by you in similar fashion."
"You don't have to be that harsh. We were on the same team. It's not like you have any good qualities about yourself when it comes to interrogations. Alright, just lead the girl on the front, I will not be foolish enough to shoot her right?"
"Nothing with you is as it seems. Have you been listening in on our conversation? If you are them you know you are the last person I will give her to."
"Don't make it hard on everyone. I don't want to fight you for old times sake."
"But I don't want to surrender. Those men know their duty, I don't think they will regret even if I leave them behind which negates your advantage."
"Others might believe your words but I know they might be willing to be a martyr but you will definitely blame yourself. Why don't we settle it like old times? I give you my word we will not shoot you if you agree to this term."
Peter thought for a second. Steve was a dangerous fellow, a highly decorated SAS member who retired early to go into private sector probably because it pays better.
But he was also a cunning bastard who will not compromise on anything but he will keep his word especially when they have little animosity towards one another.
After thinking for few minutes Peter said, "Deal." And opened the door without hesitation.
Standing before him was his former brother in arm looking as smug as he remembered.
