How to Tame a Villain Character-Chapter 38: The Traitor

Harry’s words just scared everyone, including President Howard. Moreover, he did not believe that it was impossible for his flagship chef at his residence to commit cruel acts to special guests.

Among everyone, only Carlos looked relaxed enjoying strawberries. Harry still locked his lips while holding his wife’s right hand tightly.

"Harry, why did you suddenly say there was poison in the strawberry cake?" asked President Howard nervously.

"Because I was a witness who saw that the strawberry cake for my wife was poisoned."

Meanwhile, Clarissa, who wanted to enjoy strawberry cake, immediately gave up her intention. He immediately stepped away from his plate. "Are you sure there’s poison in my cake too?"

"If yours isn’t poisonous. But, your strawberries were sprinkled with poisonous medicine."

Listening to Harry’s nonsensical words, President Howard showed a face full of anger as he pounded the table. "Do you have proof?"

Harry casually took out his cell phone then showed a video of the conversation between Carlos and George in the kitchen. Seeing the video, Claudia already understood what Harry had been doing all night. Actually, what Harry was doing was not discussing business matters with President Howard, but was carrying out a secret mission. Now the question is, how did Harry know that the real perpetrator was Carlos? Then Carlos wants to carry out his crime?

"Luckily I was able to record this crime live. It just so happened that in the middle of the night when I wanted to go to the toilet, I accidentally overheard this conversation outside the kitchen." Harry’s gaze narrowed as he looked at Carlos starting to get angry after watching the video. "To think there was a traitor in this house."

Carlos hit the table as he got up from his chair. "Dad, the video Harry recorded was fake! He must have edited it on purpose so he could bring me down!"

Harry laughed evilly while looking at Carlos. "Why would I do such a stupid thing that is so troublesome! I even asked George directly when you weren’t there. George admitted that you had actually wanted to harm your sister, but because George couldn’t bear to kill Clarissa, your plans always failed. Then, last night you threatened him again, and worse, you even wanted to poison my wife!"

Seeing the current situation, President Howard already understood why George wanted to commit a crime, especially against Clarissa. His gaze, which was usually always cheerful, was now very angry as if he wanted to stab his stepson all over.

"You want to kill Clarissa because I didn’t hand over the mine to you, right? "All this time, I have always treated you as a replacement for me every time I go on business trips."

Clarissa’s gaze immediately became weary as she looked at her half-brother, who finally showed his true colors. "I am very disappointed in my brother. For years I lived with my older brother but my older brother looked for every way to kill me."

Actually, Claudia was still curious about Carlos’ purpose in wanting to kill her suddenly. Even though the original storyline, Carlos did not intend to kill him. Why did the storyline change drastically like this? Is there a new theory that has emerged without his knowledge?

Harry put his cell phone back in his trouser pocket. "President Howard, I’m sorry for suddenly ruining the atmosphere at breakfast this morning. However, this truth must be revealed so that your biological daughter does not suffer harm. I have summoned a team of investigators to investigate the attempted murder case further."

Not long after, police cars surrounded the Ainsworth family residence. Then police officers forcibly dragged Carlos out of this luxurious residence. Meanwhile, other police officers scattered around to search Carlos’ kitchen and work room.

When one of the police officers wanted to handcuff George, Harry immediately stopped him by shaking his head. "Don’t arrest this chef. He is innocent."

"But, he was the one who sprinkled the poison in the cake."

"In fact, I deliberately ordered him to put in the poison so that Carlos’ true crime could be proven."

The police officer let go of George’s hand. "Okay, we won’t arrest him as a suspect. But, he must be questioned as a witness."

George bowed his head forty-five degrees to Harry. "Thank you for your kindness, Young Master. If you didn’t know, maybe I would really be considered an accomplice of a criminal."

This chaotic situation still makes Claudia and Clarissa very shocked, especially President Howard who is helpless because he really regrets having adopted Carlos as a child. Even in her eyes, Carlos was always good in her eyes from childhood to adulthood. Why has Carlos turned his good attitude into evil now?

"Is this all because I spilled the secret to Harry?" whispered Clarissa while biting her nails.

Claudia furrowed her brows. "What information did you leak to my husband?"

"Carlos is not my real brother."

Hearing a secret she didn’t know made Claudia widen her eyes. This was never told in the original storyline as a result of Clarissa’s murder case never being revealed. Could it be that all of this is related to each other, starting with Carlos threatening him yesterday? Trying to remember what Claudia did to make Carlos want revenge.

However, now what he cared about was not Carlos’ capture, but rather that he had finally succeeded in changing the plot of the novel thanks to Harry’s presence by his side. He was not accused of being the criminal who killed Clarissa, then Clarissa’s life was saved from death.

Spontaneously, Claudia immediately hugged her friend’s body tightly while letting out her broken sobs. "Thank God you’re still safe, Clarissa. I’m so relieved. At first I thought you were going to die."

Clarissa also shed tears while patting Claudia on the shoulder. "I was afraid you might die too, Claudia. Don’t just worry about me, you should also worry about yourself. Luckily your husband is truly reliable."

"Anyway, you don’t need to worry about anything anymore. All your problems are over."

"Claudia, why do you keep talking as if you know I’m going to die for real?"

Claudia let go of the hug, her hand moved to hold Clarissa’s hand tightly. "You’re my best friend, I don’t want to lose you again."

On the one hand, Claudia felt that there was something strange about the storyline which had become increasingly messy since Harry’s presence around her. Could it be that from the start, Harry was involved in the case that all her closest friends were facing?
