HPxLOTM: A Wizard's Path to Divinity-Chapter 724: Obito!
It's fine!
It's fine!
Edward immediately forced himself to calm down. As long as I truly replace the Oldest One, I'll naturally possess enough power to rescue Lilith.
That's right—at most, it's just two souls fused together. Separating them again shouldn't count as anything particularly difficult.
At this moment, Grisha Adam continued, "The reason I'm telling you this now is because…the 'Creator' lied about this matter."
Edward's heart began to pound violently, but he didn't interrupt. Instead, he waited for Adam's explanation.
"He doesn't actually intend to work together with Lilith to resist the Oldest One. Rather, he plans to let Lilith replace him in suppressing the Oldest One's will, so that he himself can gain freedom."
"And that's only the first step. The second step is to replace you and complete the seizure of the Oldest One's authority and power—taking your place entirely."
"In that way, the final outcome will be this: Lilith suppresses the Oldest One's will, you obtain the Oldest One's authority on his behalf, and he becomes the ultimate—and sole—winner."
As Grisha Adam reached this point, his tone grew heavier.
Edward asked in a low voice, "How do you know all of this?"
"I split off a personality and hid it within Lilith's psychological world. When Lilith met with the 'Creator,' I glimpsed his true intentions."
"So you suspected him from the very beginning…"
Before he could finish the question, Edward realised he had said something unnecessary.
Adam's attitude toward "that person" had been made clear long ago. He had never trusted him. Adam believed that rather than entrusting all hope to an unknown existence, it was better to seize the initiative himself—even if the final price was his own sacrifice.
Now, reality had proven Adam's judgment correct.
But if the "Creator" was truly this kind of being, then why had the Ancient Sun God cooperated with him in the first place? Had the Ancient Sun God harboured no suspicions at all? Or was that simply the only option available to him at the time?
And if I already control the Oldest One's authority and power, then how does the "Creator" intend to take them from me?
Just as Edward was thinking this, his spirituality stirred—and he suddenly sensed something.
His figure blurred, and he instantly arrived deep within the universe of the Harry Potter world. There, he saw the Outer Deities that had been turned into picture albums—now held in someone's hands.
That figure shook the picture album slightly, smiled faintly at Edward, and then stuffed it into his own body.
"CHEEK!"
In an instant, an aura far more terrifying than even the Mother Goddess of Depravity erupted.
Having accommodated multiple Great Old One–level Outer Deities at once, Cheek was no longer the beautiful being of the past. She had transformed into a grotesque existence—part mist, part worm, part ring—an amalgamation of countless forms. In a single leap, she attained a status and authority even greater than that of a Pillar.
The sight sent a chill through Edward. His thoughts shifted abruptly, and something clicked into place.
"You foresaw all of this long ago," he said. "No—this was all part of your plan from the very beginning, wasn't it?!"
Cheek—or rather, the Mirrored Original Creator—conveyed its thoughts directly into Edward's mind, "That's right. Don't be anxious. Very soon, it will be your turn—then the Depravity, the Mysteries, and Almighty."
Edward drew a deep breath.
"You…how could you possibly pull all of this off?"
"Don't you understand yet? I already gave you the answer long ago. I am the Oldest One in the Mirror, the Mirrored Original Creator. The Mirrored Original Creator…is also the Original Creator."
Its body suddenly shifted. Centred on it, mirrors emerged one after another from the void, rapidly spreading until they filled the entire universe. Wherever the mirrors passed, everything was inverted, then folded into and assimilated by the mirrored world—becoming part of it.
The Mirrored Original Creator intended to swap reality with the mirrored world: to turn reality into the mirror, and the mirror into reality. In doing so, it would transform from the Mirrored Original Creator into the Original Creator of reality itself!
Edward retreated at top speed, a sudden realisation dawning in his mind.
If the Mirrored Original Creator was the "Original Creator," then that meant the Oldest One's will might still be able to revive through another path altogether.
At that moment, the Mirrored Original Creator—having fused multiple Outer Deities—moved. In an instant, it unleashed a barrage of abilities at Edward: twisting rules, igniting desire, weaving fate, amplifying chaos…
In the past, it had always been Edward who relied on his multitude of abilities to overwhelm others with sheer firepower. He hadn't expected that today, he would be the one "enjoying" this treatment.
He immediately leapt out of the current dimension, causing all of the Mirrored Original Creator's attacks to miss—
But it showed no surprise at all. It continued to pour abilities relentlessly toward Edward's position, seemingly intent on sealing him within another dimension, preventing him from interfering with its plan to mirrorize reality.
Damn it…I've become Obito!
Fortunately, my abilities aren't as useless as Kamui.
Edward frowned. His figure dispersed, and he reappeared beneath the rift of the Astral World's barrier, in the world of mysteries.
At this moment, the Mother Goddess of Depravity was already entangled by the future projections of Lord of the Mysteries Klein and Eternal Darkness Amanises, gradually being dragged out beyond the solar system.
Edward hurriedly pressed a hand against the barrier, quickly retrieving the Blasphemy Slate that had been consumed while repairing it. Then he returned once more to the Harry Potter world and, in one breath, devoured the abilities of all twenty-two pathways.
Come on, you di*kless wank*r!
So it's a contest of who has more abilities now?
Who's afraid of who?!

The dwelling of the gods.
Lilith looked at the girl inside the amber who was extending a hand toward her. After a moment of hesitation, she, too, reached out her finger.
In the next instant, Lilith's hand pierced straight through the amber. Her fingertip touched the girl's finger within, and in that single moment, fragments of memories surged into her mind.
They were memories of "herself"—or rather, memories from a previous life.
Nearly twenty carefree years, until an oil tanker crashed into her and sent her into the Harry Potter world. She endured hardship and danger, ultimately becoming a bestselling author by copying books, mastering powerful magic in the process. Then she transmigrated again into the world of Lord of the Mysteries, gaining divine authority and an incomparably long lifespan—only to discover that the Oldest One's will had begun to revive within her.
To resist the Oldest One, she reached a cooperation with the Ancient Sun God, creating an entirely new pathway in order to seize the Oldest One's authority and replace It.
After deciding to split herself in two—using the avatar to resist the Oldest One's will while the main body seized the Oldest One's authority—she had just completed the separation between her true body and avatar when the Oldest One's consciousness seized the chance to counterattack at her weakest moment.
A portion of Its consciousness invaded the avatar's mind, then erased the fate of the main body along with the Oldest One's authority it carried.
Originally, the Oldest One's actions had already succeeded. It should have awakened from then on. Who could have known that the arrival of another "outsider from 'above' the world" would disrupt everything?
Edward obtained the "fate" that had split away from the main body, replacing it and completing the seizure of the Oldest One's authority. At that point, the Oldest One's will had already reached its limit and could only sink back into slumber—yet before doing so, it influenced the avatar, driving it to carry out a series of subsequent actions.
Outside the amber, the girl named Li Li tilted her head back and looked at Lilith inside. She spoke calmly, "Now it's your turn to experience how I've felt all these years."
Only then did Lilith realise that, at some unknown point, she herself had been sealed inside the amber. Before she could fully awaken from the memories she had just received, an overwhelming drowsiness surged up from deep within her. She couldn't help but close her eyes as her consciousness grew increasingly blurred, gradually losing all perception of everything.
Li Li turned around and walked toward the train.
"I…just wanted to live properly once."
Just as she reached the front of the train, a figure in a white priest's robe blocked the entrance. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
It was Grisha Adam.
"Your Excellency, haven't you realised it yet?" he said quietly. "You have long since been eroded and influenced by the Oldest One's will. Every decision you've made has been interfered with by It."
Grisha Adam let out a sigh. "Once you leave here, the Oldest One will fully revive within your body."
"I know," Li Li replied calmly.
Grisha Adam was taken aback for a moment. "Then why—"
"I already said it. I only want to live properly once, to take a look at this world—even if it's only for a single instant. As for everything else, I don't care."
She looked at Grisha Adam indifferently. "Our situations are actually very similar. I think you can understand how I feel."
"I do understand."
Grisha Adam nodded. "But once your plan succeeds and you completely replace the Oldest One, won't you obtain freedom all the same? True freedom, in the fullest sense."
"No."
Li Li denied it flatly. "There is only one way to completely replace the Oldest One—by having me suppress It forever, grinding away the Oldest One's will little by little until it is utterly erased."
"Perhaps it would take a thousand years. Perhaps ten thousand. Perhaps even longer—or perhaps it would never truly be accomplished."
"But I'm already tired of all this. I'm too exhausted."
After a long silence, Grisha Adam clasped the cross in his hands and said, "I understand now what the Oldest One's true influence on you has been. I'm very sorry for everything you've suffered, but…"
The cross in his hand burst into dazzling radiance, and a colossal figure rose up behind him.
"I'm sorry."
At the same time, the world around them shifted violently. In the blink of an eye, they had arrived in a bustling modern city.
Li Li slowly looked around. "You slipped into my mind island without me noticing. As expected of the former Ancient Sun God. If you hadn't been backstabbed and killed, perhaps your plans would have succeeded long ago."
"Unfortunately…"
She paused, then continued, "Did you know? From the very beginning, He knew you would be betrayed, stabbed in the back, and devoured by the Rose Redemption. And yet, He never told you."
Grisha Adam remained unmoved. The cross in his hand transformed into a beam of light that shot straight toward Li Li.
Li Li's figure suddenly became transparent, allowing the cross to pass straight through her body. She then snapped her fingers lightly.
A gray-white colossal dragon flew out of nothingness. Its pupils rapidly shifted from ashen white to golden yellow, igniting with furious flames.
"Grisha!!"
Seeing Grisha Adam become entangled by the imagined Dragon of Imagination, Li Li said calmly, "You don't seriously think that all these years I've done nothing but foolishly resist the Oldest One's will here, do you? Don't forget—within this place lie both the River of Eternal Darkness and the Chaos Sea, two Sefirot."
As she spoke, a massive bronze gate rose thunderously before her, creaking as it slowly opened. Beyond the gate lay boundless darkness, the aura of death, and emotions of rage and resentment.
In the next instant, several decayed figures charged out from within the bronze gate. Each of them was steeped in madness and loss of control, rushing straight at Grisha Adam the moment they crossed the threshold.
They were none other than the ancient gods who had died at the hands of the Ancient Sun God during the Third Epoch.
"Have a nice reunion with your old friends."
Li Li's figure flickered—then she vanished into the distance.
