Hubby's Deep Love Will Never Change-Chapter 1426: The Scheme Succeeds (Part 1)
Ye Yang was already waiting at the doorstep early. Upon hearing that Song Jiaqi had arrived, he opened the door, and she was just a few meters away.
From a distance, Song Jiaqi walked over while talking, "What’s going on? When I left in the morning, everything was fine. How come there’s a fever again in the evening?"
She had been staying at Ye Yang’s house for over a month now, and the little girl’s been perfectly fine! But just as she left, the trouble started!
Ye Yang frowned, "I don’t know either. Maybe I just don’t know how to take care of kids."
Although Song Jiaqi was worried about Song Xiaoxi, she was still rational and didn’t blame Ye Yang. She said, "No way... Xiaoxi’s immune system isn’t that weak. Even if you leave her alone, she won’t get sick and fever, let alone for a second time in such a short span."
Even if Ye Yang was bad at taking care of children, could he really be giving her cold baths or something?
"She’s sick now, and can’t say anything clearly. Not sure if she was out in the sun with me too much at noon and got heatstroke or something."
"Did a doctor come by? Did he say it’s heatstroke?"
"Uh... the current situation is a fever."
Song Jiaqi sighed lightly and didn’t ask any more questions, hurrying upstairs.
Ye Yang scratched his head, thinking to himself, it seems I should look things up online first next time, or it’ll be embarrassing if I get exposed.
Ye Yang followed upstairs and leaned against the door frame of the room.
Song Jiaqi gently picked up Song Xiaoxi, touched her forehead, and exclaimed, "Why is it so hot... Should we take her to the hospital?"
She turned to look at Ye Yang, who shook his head, "The doctor said no need, kids should have less IV drips, she has taken fever medicine, physical cooling should do."
Recalling the last time, Song Jiaqi did not insist on taking Xiaoxi to the hospital.
If she can break the fever tonight, that would be great. Going to the hospital is a hassle, better to rest well at home.
"Da Bao..." Song Xiaoxi whimpered in Song Jiaqi’s arms, "Hungry..."
"Did you guys eat tonight?" Song Jiaqi asked Ye Yang.
"Had takeout. She didn’t have much appetite tonight, just ate a bit. Later, I found out she had a fever, so I quickly called the doctor to check."
"Takeout again??" Song Jiaqi looked shocked, "Isn’t the maid back? How come you had takeout again?"
On second thought, yes, she had been there for quite some time, and besides them three, there was no one else in the villa.
Could it be...
Ye Yang shrugged, "She called again in the morning to say she needed to take another month off because her family member’s illness worsened, and she couldn’t leave."
The nanny probably found it strange too, getting a paid leave this enjoyable, how often does one encounter such a situation in a lifetime?
"Then why didn’t you—"
Song Jiaqi stopped mid-sentence.
She wanted to ask, then why didn’t you tell me?
But then she thought it might not be right. She wasn’t his professional nanny, he indeed had no reason to call her over to cook for them, even if her daughter was staying at his place.
"Oh, forget it... Xiaoxi, you lie down for a bit first, okay? Mommy will go make some porridge for you."
"No porridge..." Song Xiaoxi whimpered.
"You’re sick now, so you need to eat something light. I’ll make you something better tomorrow."
"No porridge..." she fussed.
"Okay, okay, no porridge, no porridge, you lie down for a bit first, no crying, okay," she said, giving Ye Yang a glance, "Your Oppa is here with you."
