I alone am the Honoured One!-Chapter 737: A good meal
As the water calmed around them, Xia Shenyi slowly pulled away, and her gaze lingered on Zhao Tian's face.
The moonlight reflected off the water droplets clinging to his bare skin, highlighting the sharp contours of his body.
She reached for his hand, giving it a small tug. "Come," she said softly.
"Let's get out."
Zhao Tian hesitated for a moment before nodding.
He followed her as they stepped onto the smooth stone near the edge of the lake.
The cold night air brushed against their damp skin.
She turned toward him and water dripped from the ends of her hair as she reached for a soft towel nearby.
Without a word, she began drying his chest, moving gently, as if handling something fragile.
Zhao Tian simply stood there, allowing her to take care of him.
He watched her movements... the way her fingers lingered over his scars, tracing them absentmindedly.
Once she was satisfied, Xia Shenyi moved to grab his robes.
The black fabric was smooth and she held it up, stepping closer to him. "Lift your arms," she murmured.
Zhao Tian obeyed, allowing her to slip the inner robe over his shoulders, her fingers lightly grazing his skin as she adjusted the fit.
She tied the sash around his waist, smoothing out the fabric before taking a step back to look at him.
A small smile tugged at her lips. "There," she said, tilting her head slightly.
"That's better."
He reached forward and gently grasped her wrist. "You always do this," he muttered.
Xia Shenyi blinked "Do what?"
"Take care of me..."
Her expression softened, and she raised a hand to brush away the damp strands of hair falling over his forehead. "Because you're mine to take care of,"
Zhao Tian stared at her for a long moment, his fingers still loosely wrapped around her wrist.
Xia Shenyi tilted her head slightly, waiting, but he said nothing.
Instead, he reached for the towel she had used on him moments ago.
"Tian?"
Without replying, he gently pulled her toward him.
With slow movements, he draped the towel over her shoulders and began to dry her off.
His touch was careful, almost hesitant, as he ran the towel over her arms, absorbing the water clinging to her pale skin.
Zhao Tian's gaze remained steady as he moved and his fingers brushed against her collarbone as he carefully wiped away the droplets tracing their way down her skin.
He brushed over her shoulders, then her back and her breasts.
Xia Shenyi lowered her gaze, feeling her heartbeat quicken.
It not like she hadn't been close to him before, but this moment felt different...
When he reached for her waist, she instinctively placed her hands over his, stopping him. "I can do the rest," she whispered.
But Zhao Tian didn't move away.
His hands remained where they were, resting lightly against her sides. "Let me..."
Xia Shenyi hesitated for only a moment before nodding, allowing him to continue.
He crouched slightly, drying her long legs with the same careful touch.
The towel traced along her calves, over her thighs, before he finally stood back up.
Her breath hitched as he reached for her damp hair next, gathering the long strands in his hands.
Gently, he squeezed out the excess water and his fingers glided through her hair before he draped the towel over them.
Zhao Tian carefully ran the towel over her head, drying her hair as best as he could before finally letting his hands fall away.
A long silence stretched between them before he finally spoke again "You should put on your robes..."
"Hmm..."
After Xia Shenyi finished dressing, she turned to Zhao Tian and reached for his hand. "Let's go back," she said softly.
Zhao Tian nodded, and together they walked back toward the mansion.
The night was calm, the cool breeze carrying the faint scent of flowers from the medicinal garden nearby which is always maintained by Fei Ziyu.

The sound of their footsteps was the only thing that filled the air, yet there was no need for words.
As they approached the mansion, the warm glow of lights flickered from inside.
The soft murmurs of conversation reached them before they stepped through the doors.
Inside, the dining hall was already set with a variety of steaming dishes spread across the long table.
The aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air.
The women turned toward the entrance the moment Zhao Tian and Xia Shenyi stepped in.
"You're back," Fei Lingxi said with a soft smile.
Fei Ziyu let out a small breath and quickly moved to pull out a chair for Zhao Tian. "Come, sit. You must be hungry."
Li Jia nodded "We prepared all your favorite dishes," she added, glancing at him hesitantly.
Zhao Tian took a moment to take it all in... the concern in their eyes, the effort they had put into making this meal, the warmth of their presence.
"Thank you..."
With that, he took a seat at the head of the table, and Xia Shenyi sat beside him.
The other women followed suit, each settling into their places.
Velnorah picked up a bowl of soup and placed it in front of Zhao Tian. "You should eat something light first," she said gently.
"It'll help your body recover."
He nodded and took the spoon, bringing the warm broth to his lips.
The taste was mild yet comforting.
For a while, the only sounds in the room were the clinking of chopsticks, spoons and the occasional shifting of plates.
No one spoke, yet the silence wasn't uncomfortable.
It was a moment of quiet understanding, of simply being together after everything that had happened.
After a while, Fei Lingxi finally broke the silence "Husband… how are you feeling?"
Zhao Tian paused for a brief moment before answering. "Better,"
He looked around at all of them, meeting each of their gazes one by one. "Because of you all."
A soft warmth filled the room at his words.
Fei Lingxi reached over and placed a hand over his, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"You don't have to carry everything alone."
Zhao Tian exhaled a deep, tired breath.
And so, they continued their meal together, sharing quiet moments of comfort, healing through the simple act of sitting together and eating as a family.
