I Am Genie-Chapter 77: Temporarily Good
Hearing Michael and Leo whispering about something, Dragon God immediately came over to them. Of course, she didn’t think they were badmouthing her.
She’s that confident because in her eyes, those words weren’t badmouthing; they were the truth. They’re telling the truth. So what reason does she have to be mad?
Suddenly at this moment Michael’s stomach growled. He had been hungry for quite a while so now he really wanted to eat something to replenish his energy.
Dragon God’s eyes flickered with a sharp gleam. The training plan officially started right at this moment.
"Michael, from today onwards you are not allowed to eat food cooked by others."
???
Not just Michael, but even Leo was stunned. This request sounded extremely weird. What’s wrong with eating food cooked by someone else?
"Are you joking? What I eat has nothing to do with you."
Michael naturally wouldn’t easily listen to her. He glared at her while pouting. His attitude was pretty bad.
Dragon God quickly closed in on him, scaring him into backing away nonstop. She took one step forward, he took two steps back. Just like that, the distance between them grew further and further.
Leo could clearly see that Dragon God had left a huge psychological scar on Michael. Maybe the training wasn’t too bad, at the very least, it could train Michael’s mentality.
Watching Michael constantly backing away, the veins on her forehead bulged. This damn guy always loved creating opportunities for her to hit him.
"Stop right there!"
She shouted and immediately sped up, rushing to Michael’s side to grab his ear. She yanked hard, making him grimace in pain. His feeling right now was like he was about to lose his ear.
"Let go!" 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"If you want me to let go, then stop running."
"With you pulling my head down like this, how am I supposed to stand normally?"
Dragon God finally let go. Michael’s normally colored ear, in just a few seconds, was now red.
"You damn brute! What does not letting me eat food cooked by others have to do with training?"
Michael grumbled while rubbing his ear. His expression was full of grievance but now there was nothing he could do. She didn’t intend to kill him so surely Leo wouldn’t help him. The one who was originally his closest comrade had now become an outsider, completely useless.
"Aren’t you the one who calls yourself Cook God? How can a Cook God not cook well? I will definitely train you to become a super chef. From now on, my meals are your responsibility, but if the taste has any problems... you know what I mean."
Getting to the end, she narrowed her eyes. Clearly looking like just a ’normal’ little girl on the outside, but it made Michael feel extremely uneasy. She cracked her knuckles, the joints making popping sounds, making him feel like it was the sound of his bones breaking, not her cracking her knuckles.
"How the hell is it me calling myself that? Isn’t this because of Slaughter God?"
Although a bit scared of her, his mouth was still tough. He still dared to talk back loudly even though his legs were a bit shaky now.
"Isn’t Slaughter God you?"
Dragon God smirked, asking him back. If he only knew how to say simple things like this, no way he could beat her.
"I... I... You’re clearly trying to make things difficult for me on purpose. You just want to torment me, right? Why do I have to cook for you? Why not tell Leo to do it?"
Michael didn’t know how to argue back to her. If there were a Slaughter God in this world right now, it would definitely be him. Actually, it was his wording mistake, if he had said ’the previous generation Slaughter God’ then the situation might have been different.
???
Bro, why drag me into this? Me and her training you have absolutely nothing to do with it.
Leo really wanted to punch Michael but thinking about it, he was the one at fault first so he didn’t have the face to do it.
Moreover, Leo wasn’t really worried Dragon God would make things hard for him. Through interactions, he understood that she acknowledged his strength. The reason she bullied Michael was because he was too weak, and also because Slaughter God was the one who annoyed her the most.
"You want to get stronger, or do you want to be killed in the future by some weak damn guy? If you want to get stronger, then listen to me."
Dragon God, with one hand on her hip and the other hand raising her thumb, pointing straight at herself, full of confidence. No matter what you say, her knowledge about energy or combat experience wasn’t something Michael could compare to hers right now.
Hearing that, Michael pursed his lips. He wasn’t dumb enough not to be able to tell which was better. For others, death really was the end, but for him, death was just the beginning of those long, endless years of solitary confinement.
"Fine. But I hope you actually teach me something useful."
"Don’t worry. As long as the food you cook is tasty enough, enough to satisfy me, I’ll naturally help you get stronger. Besides, you’re the one who once knelt before me begging to do stuff like this, right? Don’t worry, this time I won’t make you call me ’boss’. We’re teammates now."
Mentioning the old story, Michael’s face flushed a bit. That moment of kneeling so pathetically and groveling, thinking about it now, still felt extremely losing face.
"Don’t bring up the past anymore. Isn’t it just cooking? Ordinary people with two hands can do it. I have six hands, so I have to cook three times better."
He proudly declared, as if he himself actually had a lot of knowledge about cuisine. Of course, he was lying. He always ate at restaurants and didn’t cook himself.
He had eaten a lot of delicious dishes from many different cuisines around the world. Although he didn’t know how to cook, he had ideas for developing his cooking skills. As for the six hands cooking three times better thing, that was pure nonsense.
"Consider this settled. Dragon God, from now on, don’t do dangerous stuff like earlier anymore. I can understand, but other people might not, though," Leo spoke up to remind her.
"Don’t worry. I’m not actually an idiot." Dragon God nodded carelessly in reply.
Although her attitude was very unreliable, Leo had no choice but to trust her.
