I Am The Only Witch Hunter-Chapter 364: Location of the Coven
The golden beam shot out of Silver Hawk and went over the body of Josenic. He didn't even have time to register what was going on. He could only see a flash of gold before life had left him.
"What kind of attack was that..." Josenic mumbled.
His raven wing disintegrated into nothingness. Josenic fell from the sky and landed heavily on the ground. He had become an unrecognizable mess of flesh and blood.
The golden beam was also the signal for Siderius' legion to attack.
Nadia and Henry drew their swords.
"Attack!"
The 300 soldiers rushed into the castle unannounced.
Kraus' spies, which had already infiltrated into the castle days ago, took care of the guards at the gate.
"Lower the bridge! Let's welcome our force inside!" A spy shouted.
The 300 soldiers rushed inside the castle like an army of ants.
The enemy didn't know what was happening. The soldiers inside the castle woke up and immediately went to their weapons and armors.
But Siderius' force didn't give them that time to get ready. The 300 barged down the door of the garrison and took control.
A few soldiers of the enemy tried to retaliate but they were cut down mercilessly. This made the other soldiers back down and surrender.
"What is going on?" Ida rushed out of her bedroom. She wasn't even dressed properly yet. She was one of the three witchlings inside the castle.
As she rushed out of her room, Roland's sword smacked at her neck, shoving her to the ground.
The sharp pain stunned her.
"Who are you..." Ida muttered her last words before a wave of fire shot out from Roland's sigil and burned her alive.
Helena and Zare rushed through the hallway. Siderius' Knights rushed at them from behind.
"Who are these people? How dare they attack us?" Zare shouted.
He turned back at the Knights and opened his palm. With his magic, the ceiling and the ground shot up to crush a few knights in the middle.
A knight quickly drove his sword in the middle. Many followed. They created a barricade in the middle, stopping the ceiling and the ground to crush them. These Knights held the space open for the Knights behind to slip through, continuing their pursuit to the witches.
"These savages!" Helena widened her eyes.
All her life, he saw humans drop to their knees and worshipped her like god. She had never seen men as aggressive as these.
The knights didn't slow down one bit and continued closing the gap.
At the place where the ceiling and floor collapsed. A tall and muscular knight arrived. He held the top ceiling with two hands and with one push, he dislodged it back to its original position, freeing the Knights that were keeping the gap open.
"Call of the Forest!"
Helena shouted. Her hands moved closer together. Tree roots shot out from within it and rushed to the Knights.
The Knights drew their swords. Each knight smacked the pommels of their blade. Willpower leaked out and covered their weapons.
The Knight Code had a bright blue willpower, similar to the color of the sky. The Knights in the front sliced their swords at the roots, cutting them all off.
Their willpower found its way to Helena and hurt her through the roots.
Helena vomited blood as her spirit was invaded by the Knights.
"These are Everia's forces!" Helena tried to warn Zare.
At this moment, Ashe appeared on the other side of the hall. She grabbed the hilt of her sword.
"Hidden Art! Swallow Tailwind!"
Ashe released the Shrieking Swallow's power. A deafening gust of wind shot through Helena and Zare. Their flesh was peeled off instantly as they fell to the ground.
Helena and Zare bawled their eyes out and cried out for help.
But no one was there to help them.
The Knights reached them. They grabbed Helena's and Zare's heads and smacked them to the ground repeatedly.
"Please! Please! Please..."
Helena begged but they didn't stop. Zare stared and saw Helena's skull being crushed before him.
"Keep the wicca alive. We need one alive." Ashe sheathed her sword.
"Yes, Lady Chatelain!"
Zare cried silently. His face lost all of its color. He bit his lips so hard it leaked blood.
The Knights dragged the soulless Zare away.
Siderius sat on the fence of the balcony and watched the chaos unfold underneath.
Screams and cries. Shouts and whimpers. Blood and flesh.
He took out a refresher tonic and chugged it down. This tonic didn't have any combat capability, it was purely caffeine extract mixed with alcohol. It tasted very good.
"Finally. Finally." Siderius mumbled lightly. "These roaches are dying."
Siderius despised witches. He had to hide that since the moment he came to this world. But he no longer had to do that anymore.
Roland approached Siderius from behind. He knelt down.
"We have taken control of the castle, Master."
Siderius nodded, "Did you catch a witch of the Dark Ice?"
"We did, Master. We caught a wicca named Zare."
"Lead me to him."
Siderius' force cleansed the castle swiftly. They neutralized any potential threats, tied up the surrenderers, and prevented any personnel from escaping.
When Siderius walked inside the lobby of the castle, Chaos was still unfolding outside. But those were simply the aftermath. He already had the castle in his hands.
Zare knelt in the middle of the room. Head lowered. Tears flowed continuously. He was purely a shelf of what he was before.
Siderius grabbed Zare's hair and lifted his head up. The man's eyes had gone numb.
"Kill me. I won't tell you anything." Zare said.
"I do not need you to tell me."
Siderius smirked. His red eyes shined brighter. Zare's eyes were hypnotized by those eyes. In a blink of a second, the door to his psyche was opened and inside, were the storage of his most intimate memories.
Siderius could see everything. The life of this orphan named Zare. In a sense, he was very much like Snow. But everything changed when he became a witch.
He diverted into their ways and he gave into his desire. He feasted upon humans many times as it kept him young. This Lesser Witch named Zare was almost 50 years old but with the face of a teenager.
Then Siderius saw what he wanted. The location of the Dark Ice Coven.
Siderius smiled deviously, "Found you..."
