I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 607: How About... Together?
Vera Wave turned to look at him, winking mischievously. "In such a hurry, are you? Don’t you plan on getting a prenuptial agreement or something?"
Kris Cooper glanced at her and retorted, "Are you very rich?"
The girl proudly raised her chin. "Of course! I just received a transfer from Emperor Vision today—a whole 800,000!"
Nodding thoughtfully, Kris Cooper replied calmly, "I’m sorry, but that can’t be considered a prenuptial asset."
"Why not?"
She suppressed her laughter and fired back.
He reached out and pulled her into his arms.
"Because we’re already married."
"So, all your assets are mine now?"
"Correct."
"What’s mine is mine, and what’s yours is mine too. Doesn’t that mean everything is mine? In that case, I need to carefully calculate how much money I have."
He lifted her and tossed her onto the bed.
"Take your time calculating."
She reached out and grabbed his restless hand.
"What are you doing?"
He lowered his face and kissed the corner of her lips.
"Fulfilling marital duties."
Vera Wave rolled her eyes. Wasn’t he just taking advantage of her while trying to make it sound so lofty?
"I’ve decided to give you a few days off. You don’t have to fulfill any duties during that time."
His hand had already reached out, unclasping her bra. "Then I’ll just exercise my marital rights."
Before she could counter, his lips pressed against hers, leaving no room for her to speak.
...
「Early the next morning.」
When Vera Wave woke up, Kris Cooper was no longer beside her in bed. Seeing it was getting late, she didn’t linger and quickly got up. After showering, she deliberately chose a maroon dress to wear.
After applying light makeup, she twirled in front of the mirror several times. Perfectly beautiful. Only then did she step out of the Changing Room.
As she looked up, she happened to see him entering from outside.
He wore a formal black suit with a white shirt. Though he usually disliked ties, not only were his shirt buttons neatly fastened, but he also wore a handsome maroon bow tie. It was clear he had dressed with care.
Vera Wave’s eyes widened in pleasant surprise, and she walked over to him, smiling.
"Dressed so dashingly, what are you up to?"
He coolly adjusted his bow tie. "Get married."
"What a coincidence, I’m getting married too. How about... we go together?"
He played along. "Alright."
She burst out laughing. "Hubby, do you have to be this adorable?"
Kris Cooper also smiled. "I’ve prepared all the necessary documents and identification. Let’s have breakfast first, then we can head straight to the Civil Affairs Bureau."
"Oh!" she exclaimed. "I haven’t prepared anything."
He reached out and took her arm, speaking calmly.
"I’ve prepared yours too."
With someone as scatterbrained as her, if she were to prepare things herself, something would definitely go wrong. He didn’t want her to be unable to find her ID Card or household registration book when the time came.
She visibly relaxed and snuggled up against his arm.
"Hehe, I knew it! With Hubby around, I have nothing to worry about!"
Kris Cooper rolled his eyes at her playfully, but they held no real reprimand, only overflowing affection.
The two of them went to the front courtyard together. In the dining room, Mrs. Feng had already prepared breakfast. After eating, they headed straight for the Civil Affairs Bureau.
Inside the International Marriage Registration Office, there were no other couples waiting to register, so the two of them easily received their marriage application forms.
Pictures, forms...
Before long, two red booklets, still warm from the printer, were handed to each of them.
