I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means-Chapter 545 - 386 [Dream Library]_2
Chapter 545: Chapter 386 [Dream Library]_2
The black cat continued, then with some helplessness:
“However, even though I’ve taken control of this demon statue, I haven’t found the location of the magic pattern circuit within it. I only vaguely feel the existence of the magic pattern circuit and that I’m able to utilize its strength, that’s all.”
Is this demon statue so special?
Even the controller can’t make the magic pattern circuit appear, which made Lis more and more curious about how these elemental magic statues were made.
Lis wasn’t too disappointed after hearing what the black cat had to say.
After all, the demon statue was already in his hands, and he had plenty of time to slowly explore.
...
“But I can make this demon statue stop.”
The black cat said somewhat proudly.
“Hmm.”
Lis nodded his head, waited a moment without seeing the black cat come out from within the demon statue, but rather playing with its aquamarine long hair.
“What, are you going to stay inside this demon statue forever?”
Lis said somewhat helplessly looking at the black cat.
“Of course.”
The black cat, with hands on hips, said proudly:
“I don’t easily get a body, I want to properly experience it.”
“Moreover, I’ve found that inside this demon statue, I can directly receive magic power replenishment from the Floating City, so I don’t have to keep returning to your body to recover magic.”
“Whatever you like.”
Lis didn’t mind, it didn’t matter about this bit of time anyway, and it was good to let the black cat relieve its boredom.
Uncle Joyce watched silently on the side, he hadn’t expected the black cat to really take control of that demon statue.
This is getting interesting!
Uncle Joyce looked at the black cat controlling the young girl demon statue; the abilities and wisdom showcased by this magic intelligent life were indeed outstanding.
Compared to the magic intelligent life he had seen before with their stiff tones, this one was quite special and now seemed almost like a real person.
Maybe this little thing could really come in handy in the Floating City.
“Uncle Joyce, I’m done here; let’s continue onwards.”
Lis said, turning to Joyce, with the ever-curious black cat following behind.
“Let’s go.”
Joyce smiled; he was somewhat looking forward to what surprises Lis and the black cat might come up with next.
…
“Lis Lis Lis!”
“Help help help help help!”
You could see the black cat, transformed into a young girl, frantically running along the streets of the Floating City, followed by a bunch of demon statues flickering with various colors of magic light.
Lis watched the black cat, daring to court death, with some resignation and could only flash over to pick it up and hide it on the rooftop.
This guy, confident from who knows where, or perhaps the excitement from controlling a demon statue for the first time, thought it was powerful and decided to challenge the patrolling demon statues.
As expected, it ended up beaten with a head full of bumps and was almost disassembled.
“Stop messing around.”
Lis looked at the black cat displeasedly, patting it on the head indignantly.
“I told you to control the demon statue, not to be reckless.”
“Behave yourself.”
“Oh.”
The black cat, knowing it was in the wrong, followed behind Lis with a pitiful look.
“Uncle Joyce, where shall we go next?”
Lis looked at Joyce and asked,
Earlier, they had already taken the black cat to visit the high tower and the four Elemental Mage Towers in the core area of the Floating City, the places guarded by the Legendary Magic Statues, but as expected, the black cat failed to infiltrate any of them.
In fact, it didn’t even come into contact with the Magic Pattern Circuits of those important structures.

According to the cat, the reason was that there was a layer of Magic Power formed like a lock on those circuits, preventing it from touching the functioning Magic Pattern Circuits, let alone attempting to control those buildings.
This was somewhat beyond Lis’s expectations; he had considered that such buildings might have special protection, but not like this.
Lis realized in an instant, if this technology was formed through special Magic Runes, then it could perhaps be applied to protect the [Self-Charging] Magic Runes.
Although Yousef Daher had helped him design protective runes, they were surely no match for the specialized runes of the Floating City.
Such runes could even prevent the black cat from intruding, let alone other people.
The only concern was that these runes might be quite costly to use, and could not necessarily be applied to every Enchanted Product.
But that was a problem for another time.
The more he explored, the more Lis felt that the Floating City in front of him was a massive treasure trove, not just for the wealth and treasures contained within, but also for the exceptionally outstanding Magic Guide technology it showcased.
Although with the passage of time and accumulation of Knowledge, the magic level in the Gaia World should be continuously improving and enriching, for some reason, several Magic Empires represented by Nasery suddenly vanished into the annals of Gaia World’s history, and their magical achievements and knowledge were seldom passed down.
It was as if the legacy of those Magic Empires had vanished into thin air.
This also led to a regression of several generations in the magical level of Gaia World’s mages.
The most obvious sign of this was the once numerous Floating Cities, of which now only a few remain.
After countless years of development, the Gaia World mages’ magical knowledge has approached that of the former Magic Empires in many ways, yet the legacy of the Magic Empire still holds immense value.
“Let’s go to the Library of the Floating City,”
Joyce said with a smile,
“You are a Mage too, you may, just like your father, fall in love with that place.”
“Really?”
Lis perked up instantaneously.
He hadn’t expected that the Library of the Floating City would not be within that high tower but stand alone.
What’s most important to a Mage, if not knowledge?
This was the Library of the Floating City, and according to Joyce, it was currently open and accessible for acquiring the knowledge recorded within.
Before long, under Joyce’s lead, Lis arrived at a magnificent building, which appeared to be a sort of cubic structure. Its silver-gray walls seemed to flow with countless mottled shadows, twinkling with mysterious and enchanting light, weaving a dreamlike scene.
Stepping through the grand Magic Gate entrance, every stone brick underfoot seemed to be whispering ancient magical incantations, and the heavy atmosphere of the years made one hold their breath involuntarily.
In the central hall of the Library, hanging all around the top were huge Magic Crystal chandeliers radiating a soft and bright light, illuminating the Library as if it were daylight.
And right at the center of the ceiling was a grand Magic Starry Sky Mural covering the entire ceiling, making one feel surrounded by a vast and boundless universe.
The constellations and celestial bodies on the mural moved slowly over time, as if a real starry sky was rotating above.
In the corners of the Library, there were comfy Magic Sofas and Magic Carpets for readers to rest and meditate.
Unlike normal libraries, the countless rows of bookshelves brimming with books were not neatly placed on the ground; instead, they floated silently in mid-air, like a dreamy ocean.
The bookshelves seemed to be made of a rare Magic Wood, displaying a profound purple color with a faint sheen. Delicate Magic Runes were carved into the edges, which, under specific light, would show a flowing glow as though they were alive.
Here, time seemed to lose its meaning, allowing people to immerse themselves in the world of magic and freely explore the unknown mysteries.
With Lis’s keen eyesight, he could vaguely make out on those Magic Bookshelves, aside from books, many unique objects were also placed.
There were crystal-clear Magic Crystal Balls, quietly floating in the air, as if containing endless Magic Energy within; there were uniquely shaped Magic Stones, adding a touch of mystery to the entire space; and there were ancient Magic Scrolls, carefully rolled up and neatly placed on specially made Magic Bookshelves.
Looking at them, it seemed that these were all carriers of magic knowledge, another form of books.
Despite this, the most numerous items on the shelves were still those thick Magic Books, emitting a faint magical glow.
Joyce, looking at the dreamlike scene before him, sighed and said,
“No matter how many times I come here, I still marvel at the uniqueness of this place.”
“Brandon gave it a name, the ‘Dream Library’!”
