I Awakened An Outer God Class-Chapter 45: Result
[The Next Morning]
Mikhail opened his eyes groggily when he felt a heavy weight on his chest.
He groaned and looked up only to find Methew sleeping on his chest.
’Half of the bed is empty, you stupid cat.’
Mikhail grumbled inwardly and picked up the startled cat and threw it beside him.
He then sat back up and looked towards the window. He walked closer and opened it as intense light entered the room.
’Urgh, how long was I asleep?’
He glanced at the wall clock which showed 9 o’clock.
Mikhail picked up his t-shirt, wore it, and walked outside his room.
He walked down the staircase only to find his family sitting beside the TV.
Ronic and Eric were half dressed, staring at the TV dumbfounded.
Mikhail glanced past them at the TV and immediately slowed down his steps.
It was him who was on the TV.
’Looks like I passed.’ He thought to himself and stopped just behind them.
The first to notice him was Olivia who was staring at the TV with sparkling eyes.
"Uncleeeee!!" She jumped from the sofa and Mikhail quickly caught the mischief.
"You are on the TV again!"
Mikhail chuckled softly and pinched her cheeks. At the same time, his family turned back to look at him.
Mikhail smiled at them. "Told you it will be easy."
All four of them immediately got into a frenzy of motion.
"Aw, I always knew my son was smart~."
Jasmine quickly rushed in to give him a tight hug.
Mikhail tried to move back but Jasmine wouldn’t let him.
Ronic also stood up and gave him a quick hug.
Even Emiliya, who was always in a bad mood, was happy with the result.
When the entire family had congratulated him, only then did Eric walk towards him.
With a bright smile on his face, he patted Mikhail’s shoulder. "Well done." He said softly. "You are really the smartest in our family."
Mikhail could only sigh in response. He glanced back at the TV and saw Kiven’s picture as well.
’Looks like both of us passed.’
Mikhail nodded his head, satisfied by the outcome.
Jasmine, whose smile was blooming like a flower, quickly became dimmer.
"...You will have to leave us now." She whispered in a soft tone. "Imperial University is in the capital city."
The others’ mood got affected by her words as well.
Olivia grabbed his collar and asked in a startled voice. "Are you leaving me, uncle?"
Mikhail smiled and said gently. "Why would I leave my lovely niece?"
Mikhail quickly hugged the girl who was already on the verge of tearing up.
"Everyone has to leave someday." Eric replied in a deep voice. "You have to let him go from the nest so he can fly high."
Jasmine nodded her head in response, though the pain in her eyes was clear.
"Alright!" Emiliya said, clapping her hand. "It would be better if you don’t cry and instead spend time with him."
Jasmine smiled and said brightly. "Yeah, I should be feeding you the best foods I can make."
Eric and Ronic dressed up and Mikhail couldn’t help but notice the formal dress on their bodies.
"Are you going to meet someone?" Mikhail asked doubtfully.
Ronic nodded with a chuckle. "We are going to have a talk for the land in the capital city."
Mikhail pricked up his ears. "Oh, should I come with you?"
"No." Eric replied, shaking his head. "We will deal with this, you should rest while you can."
Mikhail let out a sigh and smiled at him. "Good luck."
Eric nodded and walked out of the house along with Ronic.
Mikhail looked down at the girl who was hugging him with a sulking look on her face.
"Come on, Olivia. Let uncle go." He said softly. "I am not leaving you."
She looked up at him with her puffy eyes. "Promise?"
Mikhail smiled. "Promise."
The girl finally let go of him and rushed towards her mother. Mikhail, on the other hand, glanced at his mother.
Jasmine still had a sad look on her face that she tried to hide.
"I will be fine." Mikhail said, rubbing her shoulder. "Don’t worry."
Jasmine gently nodded and tried to smile again. "It’s just... death is pretty common for those who have Awakened."
She was well aware of the fact that when Mikhail Awakened, she knew he would have to take risks, but she wasn’t aware of how big it would be.
But now she knew he would go to Imperial University, her anxiety exploded.
"I am not dying anytime soon." Mikhail replied, shaking his head. "You are thinking too much."
Jasmine let out a sigh and nodded her head in response. "Maybe I am."
She quickly put on a happy face and asked him. "Alright, what do you want to eat?"

Ronic and Eric walked through the streets of 30th Street.
30th Street of the City of Sparrows was well known for their lawyers and brokers.
Many of the offices present in this place were either one of them.
"Is it just me or have the number of people lowered in this area?" Eric asked in a soft voice.
"Most of the lands in the area were bought by large companies and families." Ronic replied. "Because they are selling directly with the help of banks, there isn’t any need for professional brokers."
Eric nodded his head and let out a soft sigh. "The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer."
Ronic commented softly. "That’s how things are."
As he spoke, Ronic stopped at one ordinary-looking office that was sandwiched between two big buildings.
He turned to look at his father. "This is the place."
Eric was doubtful of the place but he only nodded his head and walked towards the door.
Ronic opened the door as both of them entered the office.
On the three sides of the office were maps of the City of Sparrows and an oil painting of an old man who was laughing above the desk.
Inside was a young man sitting at a desk with numerous papers scattered around him.
The man was in his late twenties with short black hair, a trimmed beard, and a mole on his nose.
He also wore golden glasses that fit his oval face clearly.
"Ah, my friend Ronic." The man said and walked towards them. "Is he your father?"
"Yes." Ronic replied softly. "And father, this is Mr. Von."
Mr. Von shook Eric’s hand with a smile on his face.
"Let’s sit down." He invited them to the seats.
Eric and Ronic both sat down and Mr. Von sat opposite them.
Just then Eric’s eyes shifted to the photo frame on the desk. The photo was of a group of children who looked like they were in middle school.
"Before becoming a broker, I was a teacher." Mr. Von said, noticing his gaze. "They were my students." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Eric glanced up at him. "You must really care for them."
Mr. Von nodded his head in response. "Of course, I used to adore them."
For a split second a smile appeared on his face. It was a disgusting and sinister smile that made Eric wonder if he was seeing things.
Mr. Von said in a soft voice. "You wish for land in the capital city, right?"
