Chapter 508: Chapter 508 Parents meeting (2)

Pyrra leaned slightly closer to Drake, her smile so sweet it almost sparkled, but her eyes held that very specific mother warning that every child somehow understood instinctively.

"You little flame," she said softly. "You expose everything. And wait... just wait. I will see you after your results."

Drake’s entire body went stiff.

His eyes widened in pure horror. He slapped both hands over his mouth like he could physically shove the words back inside.

He slowly turned his head toward Luna like a soldier looking for backup before execution.

"Wow..." he whispered, uncovering his mouth just a little. "Luna... you look cute!!!"

Luna froze.

Her ears twitched.

Her cheeks instantly turned pink.

"No! I am NOT," she snapped fiercely, baring tiny teeth in pure defensive embarrassment.

Alpha Ryker’s gaze slid slowly toward Drake, giving him a look that could stop a charging army mid step.

Drake immediately sat straighter.

"I mean," he said quickly, his voice suddenly very respectful, "you look... very... powerful."

Luna crossed her arms, still red. "Better."

Behind her, Queen Serafina hid a small smile behind her hand.

Blaze leaned slightly toward Ryker direction and muttered under his breath, "Mine also talks too much."

Ryker exhaled slowly. "It is a curse."

Meanwhile, Alina kept her attention toward the entrance, making sure every family felt welcomed the moment they arrived. The hallway outside carried the soft echo of footsteps, mixed with quiet voices and the faint rustle of clothing, and she straightened her posture slightly, smoothing the front of her blue dress without even realizing it.

Then she saw them.

Rocky walked in between two towering figures who looked like they had been carved directly from the heart of a mountain itself. King Boulder was broad and immense, his presence heavy and grounding, his skin holding faint stone like textures beneath a warm earthy tone. Beside him, Queen Granite carried a quieter strength, elegant and steady, her long hair braided with tiny crystal beads that caught the light softly with every step.

And between them stood Rocky, small and pink-cheeked, clutching the edge of his mother’s dress like it was his emotional anchor.

The moment he spotted Alina, his eyes lit up, but he still hesitated like he always did.

"Teacher..." he said softly, stepping a little forward.

Alina’s entire heart melted instantly.

"Yes, Rocky?" she said gently, lowering slightly to his level without making it obvious.

He pointed shyly.

"Teacher... she is my mom," he said, his voice small but proud.

Queen Granite gave Alina a polite nod, her expression warm but reserved.

"And he is my dad," Rocky added, glancing up at King Boulder like he was presenting the most important people in his universe.

King Boulder inclined his head in a slow, respectful greeting. Even that small movement carried weight, like stone shifting deep underground.

"Good morning," he said, his voice deep and calm, like distant thunder softened by earth.

Alina smiled warmly, pressing her hands together politely. "Good morning, Your Majesties. Thank you for coming."

Inside, she was mentally collapsing from how adorable Rocky looked trying to do proper introductions like a tiny diplomat.

Rocky shuffled his feet.

"...I told them you are very kind," he added quietly, his eyes dropping to the floor.

Queen Granite’s lips softened slightly at that.

"We have heard," she said gently, her voice smooth like polished stone. "He speaks about you often."

Rocky immediately turned bright red.

"I... I do not talk that much..." he mumbled, staring very hard at the floor like it had suddenly become extremely interesting.

Alina had to bite the inside of her cheek to stop herself from scooping him into a hug.

"You can sit here," she said softly, guiding them toward the table. "We will begin very soon."

King Boulder carefully pulled out a chair for Queen Granite first before sitting himself, his movements slow and mindful, like he was always aware of how much space he occupied.

Rocky climbed into his chair, still sneaking tiny glances at Alina like he needed to confirm she was still there.

The quiet murmur of parents talking softened for a moment when the door opened again.

And then Dante stepped inside.

Sable and Lucien walked beside him, one on each side, both of them holding his hands loosely like they had claimed him as their personal escort for the day. All three of them wore almost matching outfits, crisp white shirts and perfectly fitted black pants. The fabric was simple, clean, elegant, but on them, it looked striking.

The shirts were the ones she had chosen for them at the mall.

Lucien’s collar sat a little crooked like he had tried to fix it himself. Sable’s sleeves were slightly folded unevenly, like someone had rolled them up and then he had fidgeted with them again. Their dark hair looked soft and messy, like Dante had clearly tried to tame it and then given up halfway.

And Dante...

Alina’s breath caught before she could stop it.

White on him was illegal.

It softened the darkness of him and somehow made him look even more dangerous. The clean white shirt stretched perfectly across his broad shoulders, sleeves rolled once at the forearm, revealing strong veins beneath his skin. His dark hair fell slightly over his forehead, and his horns curved back elegantly, sharp and proud against the light fabric.

Her gaze betrayed her completely.

His jawline. His throat. The way white made his skin look warmer. The way his eyes, those deep crimson eyes, were already on her.

Oh no.

She shouldn’t be staring like this.

"Miss Alina."

His voice was deep, calm, but threaded with unmistakable amusement.

His eyes flashed just slightly.

He knew. He absolutely knew her weakness. She liked him in white.

Around the room, a completely different reaction was happening.

Alpha Ryker’s brows had drawn together. Queen Serafina blinked slowly. King Boulder went very, very still. Queen Granite’s eyes sharpened in quiet shock.

Because this—

This was wrong.

The Nightshade Shadow Lord did not wear white. Wasn’t that the rule? They should always wear dark clothing.

And yet here he was, standing like he belonged in light.

And worse, the way he was looking at Alina.

Like a man looking at his woman.

Alina bit her lower lip, forcing her brain back into professional mode before she embarrassed herself completely.

"Please... come inside," she said, her voice steady, even though her pulse was going wild.

She guided them toward the table.

Sable immediately let go of Dante and trotted toward her side.

Lucien followed, slower, more composed, but still staying close.

Dante stepped forward then, his presence filling the space without effort.

He inclined his head respectfully.

"Alpha Ryker. Queen Serafina."

Then he turned slightly.

"King Boulder. Queen Granite."

Each greeting was precise and controlled.
