Chapter 510: Chapter 510 Parents meeting (4)

"And Felix is doing very well," she said, her voice a little brighter now, proud in a quiet way. "He is very responsible. He doesn’t talk much, but when he does, it matters. And he is very kind to his classmates, even when he pretends he doesn’t care."

Felix immediately looked away, his tails flicking in embarrassed protest.

Alina smiled a little wider at that, then looked back at Aine, her expression sincere.

"And you look beautiful today," she added simply, without exaggeration, just honest admiration. "But I think... even if you came in simple clothes, he would still be proud to stand next to you."

For a second, she worried she had said too much, and she tucked a small strand of hair behind her ear, her cheeks faintly pink.

"Please," she said gently, gesturing toward the table, "come, sit comfortably. We’ll start soon, and I promise, today is not scary. Just conversation, and sharing how wonderful your children are."

Aine leaned slightly toward her husband, her long golden tails swaying slowly behind her as she lowered her voice in what she clearly believed was a private whisper, though the room was quiet enough that it still carried softly.

"I like her," she murmured, her eyes bright with playful approval. "She is nice. And calm. And she didn’t faint when she saw my full tail form. That already makes her top tier."

Her husband let out a quiet breath, the corner of his lips twitching, clearly used to his mate deciding people’s rankings within seconds.

Warmth crept into Alina’s cheeks, turning them a soft pink. She definitely heard that. Every word. But she kept her professional smile in place, only the tiny, shy lift of her lips betraying her.

Then Drake’s excited voice burst out across the table.

"Wow, Felix, your mom is looking sooo beautiful!"

Drake was sitting properly beside his parents, his legs swinging slightly under the chair, his eyes wide with completely innocent admiration as he looked at Aine like she was something magical.

Pyrra immediately covered part of her face with her hand, half embarrassed, half amused. "Little Spark, we do not loudly announce beauty like a festival declaration."

"But she is shiny," Drake insisted seriously. "And fluffy. And glowing. And she has nine tails. That is very high level."

Felix slowly closed his eyes like he was preparing for spiritual ascension.

Aine, however, looked absolutely delighted.

"Oh, I like this child," she said warmly, leaning slightly forward toward Drake. "You have excellent observation skills."

Drake puffed his cheeks proudly, clearly pleased with himself.

"Thank you," he said with full sincerity.

Luna, sitting beside her parents, muttered under her breath, "This is why we cannot take you anywhere formal."

Felix finally spoke, his voice flat. "Please ignore him. He is like this all the time."

Felix’s father spoke calmly, his silver eyes steady. "Honesty is not a crime."

Aine gave a soft laugh, clearly enjoying this far too much, her tails swaying like golden silk behind her.

Nearby, Rocky sat very quietly beside King Boulder and Queen Granite, his eyes wide and sparkling with pure awe.

"They look like golden clouds," he whispered softly.

Kelpie, sitting with his parents, nodded excitedly. "Yes. Golden clouds."

Felix sighed deeply, staring at the table like he had accepted his fate.

And then Vlad Jr. walked in between his parents, and for a moment it genuinely looked less like a family entering a school meeting and more like three figures stepping out of an old royal portrait.

Vlad Jr. and his father were dressed in perfectly tailored formal wear, deep black fabric layered with subtle crimson embroidery that only became visible when they moved. High collars framed their necks, silver clasps catching the light softly. Their posture was identical. Straight spine. Measured steps. Smooth, silent confidence. They walked with that effortless elegance that did not look practiced. It looked inherited.

If someone had placed them on a runway, they would not have looked out of place.

Beside them walked Lady Isadora.

And for a moment, Alina genuinely forgot to breathe. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Her silver blonde hair fell in gentle waves over one shoulder, catching the light like pale moon silk. Her eyes were a calm, clear blue, peaceful and kind, like deep water that held secrets but never threatened.

She wore a simple, minimal light green dress, the kind that should have looked ordinary. But on her, it looked like something out of a dream, like spring light made into fabric. She was quiet, graceful beauty.

She noticed Alina immediately and gave her a small, elegant smile.

Alina had to blink. Once. Twice.

Her heart suddenly started beating faster in her chest, and she was not even sure why. Maybe it was the sudden presence. Maybe it was how effortlessly beautiful Isadora looked. Maybe it was the quiet power that came with all three of them walking together.

Then she straightened slightly, reminding herself where she was and why.

Professional. Calm. Teacher.

She stepped forward with a warm smile.

"Vlad Jr., welcome," she said gently, then nodded respectfully. "Count Vladimir. Lady Isadora. Thank you for coming."

Count Vladimir inclined his head slightly in acknowledgment, his expression cold.

"Please don’t say thank you," Lady Isadora said gently, her voice smooth and sweet, perfectly balanced between grace and sincerity. It carried easily without being loud, the kind of voice people naturally listened to. "You’re doing such wonderful work. We should be the ones thanking you."

Alina blinked once, slightly taken aback by the warmth.

Lady Isadora’s gaze softened as she glanced toward Vlad Jr., who was standing very straight beside his father.

"My little Vlad likes studying in your class very much," she continued, a quiet pride threading through her tone. "He speaks about his lessons at home. About literature. About structure. About how you explain things in ways that make him think."

Vlad Jr.’s ears turned faintly pink, though he kept his elegant posture.

"Mother," he said quietly, clearly trying to maintain his dignity while also looking slightly embarrassed.

Isadora smiled, completely unbothered by his protest.

"It is rare," she added, looking back at Alina, "for him to speak about someone outside family or court with this much interest."

The words were simple, but the meaning behind them felt heavy in a good way.

Alina felt warmth bloom in her chest, unexpected and deeply grounding.

She pressed her hands together lightly, offering a small, respectful nod. "That means a lot to hear, Lady Isadora. Truly. He is a very bright child. Very disciplined. And very kind to his classmates."

Vlad Jr. looked down for a moment, clearly pleased but trying not to show it too much.

Count Vladimir finally spoke, his voice low, controlled, and precise. "Education shapes legacy," he said simply. "If he respects you, then you are doing your work correctly."
