I Became a Scoundrel of a Chaebol Family-Chapter 276: 28. Blank Space
28. Blank Space
A sharp fork stabbed into a large chunk of meat.
Juices rose up appetizingly, glistening.
The woman lifted it with zero grace and shoved it into her mouth in one go, her cheeks puffing up as she chewed noisily.
“Mm~, yummy~,”
“....”
With a childlike exclamation, she gulped down some wine, then neatly picked up a water-soaked shiitake mushroom and popped it in too.
Someone once said—
Watching someone eat heartily and joyfully can make you feel full without eating.
I wasn’t just full. I was downright queasy.
This woman, seriously.
Her behavior keeps getting younger and more ridiculous, and her image is completely in the gutter now.
This is not the first impression I had of her.
According to the setting—and the image I originally had of her—she was a cold-blooded psychopath of the highest degree.
But now?
Now she just looks like an immature, chaotic mess.
Yeah.
I’m talking about Go Minji.
‘Where the hell did your charisma go?’
“Ummph.”
Go Minji was scarfing down food laid out across the long dining table, displaying manners that couldn’t be less fitting for a third-generation chaebol.
Maybe it’s because it’s just the two of us?
“Ahh, I’m full.”
“...Did you eat all that?”
At my unenthusiastic response, Go Minji narrowed her eyes as she gently folded the napkin she’d used to wipe her mouth.
“What kind of reaction is that? Your divine older sister came to personally visit you in this time of crisis. Out of pure concern for her dear little brother, no less. And that’s the look you give me? That pisses me off, you know?”
“You came to protect me? Not to mess with me?”
Here’s the situation with Go Minji showing up:
After I passed out from the shock of realizing I’d blown my chance at Prestige and Militaris shares, I had some ridiculous dream.
I woke up with a jolt, forced my dazed brain back into focus, and climbed out of bed—only to hear someone still blaring music at eardrum-shattering volume.
For a second, I thought the dream was continuing.
But no.
Someone was genuinely outside, screaming their nonexistent rock spirit into the sky.
Startled, I rushed out—and of course, it was Go Minji.
She had built a makeshift stage using the AV, with massive speakers strung together and was putting on a "performance" of some sort.
She’d even projected a giant hologram into the sky showing her bouncing around like crazy in vivid detail.
‘The fact she was actually good at guitar made it worse.’
I honestly didn’t think Go Minji had an ounce of artistic talent, but—
She played that electric guitar shockingly well.
And vocally, while her tone was whatever, her pitch was flawless.
It wasn’t pleasant, but she had the basics down.
What pissed me off was that she was using that skill to mock me.
The song I heard on loop in my dream?
"Crushed beneath the calamity you yourself called down~. The sky is shrouded with sighs~."
Yeah, that was just a line from a song.
But Go Minji took it, arranged it, and sang that one line on repeat, over and over again.
Basically, she’s the reason I had that cursed dream.
“You’re seriously pulling out ancient shit for revenge? I had a fucking nightmare because of you. I was traumatized, okay?”
“What’re you saying? A proper revenge can dig up shit from a hundred years ago if it has to. You gave me a huge fucking insult back then. Got it?”
For the record, those lyrics were something I originally used against her.
There’s a thing that always happens in our group chat:
Go Hayan leaves the chat, and Go Minji keeps re-adding her on repeat.
One time, after suffering a long-ass essay attack from Go Seonyul, Go Minji lost it and rage-quit.
And Go Hayan just kept inviting her back again and again.
Basically, Go Hayan turned Go Minji’s own tactics back on her.
Eventually, Go Minji couldn’t take it and asked me to intervene—and I hit her with those song lyrics and ghosted.
So today’s whole mess was her payback for that.
Which is honestly ridiculous.
“When the hell did I ever insult you? You’re the one who kept acting like a freak. Who told you to rack up that karma? You brought this on yourself.”
“You little—”
Go Minji suddenly stood up, walked around the table, and grabbed both my cheeks, stretching them out.
“Nggeeeeek!!”
Of course, I stood up and fought back.
I grabbed her mochi-like cheeks and pulled hard.
“Youshithhheaaa...!”
“Youshhouldtalkyouyourolddaughterselfhh...!”
Not caring in the slightest about who might be watching, Go Minji and I grabbed each other’s faces and beautifully wrestled around the room.

In the end, the real reason Go Minji came to Incheon was for the Militaris Incheon branch.
Since Go Min-young directly mentioned relocating it to Namdong Industrial Complex, someone fairly high-ranking needed to show up.
That someone was Go Minji.
To be honest, did it really have to be her?
I have serious doubts about that.
But in terms of qualifications, she checks out.
Unlike me, who’s a non-executive and unregistered director,
Go Minji is a full-time executive, the chief instructor overseeing all national Knight training centers, and a top-level research head.
She holds the title of CRO, and is also an honorary Major General (★★) of the South Korean Army.
Of course, that doesn’t mean she can actually command the military.
She’s responsible for training and developing Knights who are promoted from colonel to general, so they gave her the star rank as a formality.
In short, despite her ridiculous behavior, her résumé is top-tier, so she’s plenty qualified.
They even gave her some fancy new title to go with the job—something like Head of Militaris Korean Peninsula HQ – Incheon Branch.
Sounds /N_o_v_e_l_i_g_h_t/ impressive, but it just means she’s the Incheon branch chief.
“...Wait, so you’re going to be in Incheon full-time now?”
“Well... yeah? But why do you sound so annoyed?”
“I’m not annoyed. It’s just... having you so close all the time feels kind of suffocating. You know how they say even family needs space?”
“Bullshit. You were just happily pounding away at me five minutes ago.”
“That was... ‘cause it’s been a while.”
We were yanking on each other’s cheeks, made eye contact, and ended up in bed.
Sex with Go Minji? It’s been almost two weeks.
Obviously, I was starving for it.
And after what happened yesterday, I needed a good distraction—so I might’ve clung on a little harder than usual.
“Hey, we only started banging like, what, a few months ago?
Even if a whole year passes, it still counts as our honeymoon phase.”
“Anyway... it’s starting to feel like the freshness is fading.
Even if we’re close, let’s tone it down a bit.”
“Then say that while taking your hand off my tits, dumbass.”
“...Ah.”
Fair point.
How are you supposed to keep your hands off when they’re right there?
“And what, you think just ‘cause I’m in Incheon, I’ll be around all the time?
You think I’ve got as much free time as you?”
“Excuse me, I’m buried in work every single day too, okay?”
“If that’s your level of busy, imagine mine. Don’t worry, asshole.
Even if I miss you like crazy, I’ll be too busy to do anything about it.”
Go Minji pinched my cheek with an annoyed look.
Even though we’re in the same city, we probably won’t see each other much.
Saying it like that... honestly made me a little sad.
People are so damn fickle.

Almost like she was proving her point, Go Minji left Muyeol Land not long after.
She had to select a site for the new Namdong branch,
and now that she’s officially the branch chief, she had to shuttle between the new and old Incheon offices for the handover.
On top of that, she still had her original duties—overseeing training centers nationwide, handling research, and everything else.
In the worst-case scenario, I might see her even less than before she moved to Incheon.
‘Yeah... it’s not like distance ever stopped us before. It was always the damn schedules...’
She’s zipping around in a multi-hundred-billion-won AV like it’s a personal scooter.
Distance isn’t an issue.
Our meeting depends solely on our calendars—and whether we feel like it.
“Master, they’re setting up a joint mourning altar in front of City Hall for the mayor, council members, and ruling party politicians who died in the incident.”
“Yeah? Think a lot of people will attend?”
“Probably anyone remotely connected to politics will show up.”
“Hmm... makes sense.”
Then let’s see...
“When’s it being set up exactly?”
“Today at 6 p.m.”
“Then call up the assemblywomen who were on the yacht with Kim Eun-ji—
and the ones who survived by quitting the party.
Women only.”
“Understood.”
People died.
The least I can do is show up and lay a flower.
“Aram.”
“Yes?”
“Let’s get ready properly today. Coronation-style.”
“! Y-yes, sir!”
I holed up in the wardrobe room with the protocol team for a while.
Put together a clean-cut suit set centered around a black long coat—
and when I came out, the assemblywomen I’d summoned were already gathered in the courtyard.
“M-Master... have you been well...?”
Do they think I’m the one who took out the party leader, the mayor, and the other politicians?
The lawmakers were visibly trembling.
Especially the ones who quit the ruling party—they looked like they were ready to bow on the spot.
‘I didn’t kill them... but no need to correct that, I guess.’
