I Can Read People's Comments-Chapter 377: Future Vision
[Chapter 376 Comments.]
[Keltic_Spirit: I wonder, what is the sauce of the danger? Like is it a network connected to intent or is it purely instinctual on a higher level plane thereby not hidden Vs from the same plane.]
…
Maya charged straight in.
"!!!" Rafthar raised his eyebrows, feeling a bit surprised that Maya would actually challenge him head-on. 'I don't know what you're planning to do, but let me crush your plan.'
Rafthar waved his hand, controlling the movement of those spheres.
Three of them were close to Maya while another two were waiting right behind. Even if Maya could somehow avoid them, these two would deliver the finishing blow.
Maya simply had no change of expression, as if she hadn't noticed the spheres.
Hence, Rafthar sent them in.
The only people who could sense the movement of Rafthar's spheres were Elaine, Victoria, and Theo.
All three of them sensed the incoming three spheres hitting Maya's right leg, left arm, and waist.
Yet, to their surprise, all of them felt like moving straight into her body without harming her.
"Hoh?" Theo smiled.
"That's…" Victoria stood up.
Elaine's expression turned serious. "I see. She is confident about winning, huh?"
"!!!" Rafthar was shocked. How did Maya actually evade all those spheres? He thought he managed to hit her, but the spheres looked like they were hitting empty air.
Rafthar clicked his tongue and immediately sent forth the two spheres behind the first three, this time hitting her head-on. With such a huge surface to hit, Maya definitely had no chance but to avoid it directly.
And that was what she did. The moment Rafthar's spheres hit her, her body became blurry and the next thing they realized, Maya had been one step away to the side.

"This is…" Baold gasped.
Elaine smiled. "Her movement is like a dance, isn't it?"
"What are you talking about?" Eleanor frowned.
Javier squinted his eyes. "Her movement is smooth, and coupled with the Knight Link to boost her physical ability, it will make her body look like it disappears like a ghost.
"This is a technique that is usually used by an assassin. By controlling your presence, using your fast speed, and utilizing the smooth movement, you will become like a ghost.
"I have seen this before. There is someone called a ghost knight in our realm. I have the honor of fighting him. When I was about to clash with him, he suddenly disappeared as though he was a ghost. Before I realized it, he was already behind me." Javier gasped. "To think there is someone who has the capability to do it…"
"But even I can't sense Rafthar's attacks." Silva frowned. "At least from here. I need to use my ability if I want to sense those spheres."
"Danger Sense. That's what Maya's superpower is. She is able to sense all kinds of dangers coming toward her. However, from what I can see, it has evolved even further." Victoria crossed her arms.
Elaine nodded. "By creating a 3D image of the battlefield in one's mind and applying that sense, you will be able to view every danger coming your way.
"I'm assuming it's similar to that of a domain. I don't know how big her domain is, but within that domain, she is able to sense all dangers… Maybe 5 seconds ahead? 10 seconds ahead? This is more like the ability to see the future instead, for a battle, that is."
"Seeing the future?" Eleanor gasped.
"However, if I'm not wrong, isn't that pattern supposed to be the one influenced by emotion, Javier?" Baold asked.
"Indeed. Emotion can be hidden. Every knight should have learned it. You need to keep the fire in your heart but maintain a cool and collected mind. Even without her openly showing her emotion, she should be able to harness the power from the Knight Link." Javier glanced at Avalon's grandfather. "That old man… He managed to snatch such a good granddaughter-in-law. At this rate, she might surpass that old shadow."
While everyone was examining the battle carefully, Rafthar was having a hard time comprehending Maya's ability. After all, unlike the others, he needed to deal with the threat as well.
He waved his hand, attacking Maya from all directions this time. Even if Maya could sense his attack, she would have a hard time avoiding all the spheres. At the very least, she would have to jump away before she got completely surrounded.
That was what he expected, but Maya never planned to follow what he wanted.
She actually allowed the spheres to come close to her.
'What?' Rafthar was dumbfounded. There was no way Maya would be this foolish. She must have a plan, but Rafthar didn't have any choice but to attack.
The spheres reached her at the same time, but Maya simply took one step to the right and twisted her body. Instead of avoiding all the spheres at once, that step to the right allowed her to focus on the few spheres from the right, which would hit her first.
After avoiding all of them, she simply sped up, outrunning all the remaining spheres.
"!!!" Rafthar widened his eyes in shock.
With the spheres failing to catch her, there was nothing left between them. Hence, Maya sped up, closing the distance between them in an instant.
Rafthar used his invisibility to get away. Then he waved both of his arms in different directions.
Maya didn't even bother to look at his arms because she could sense everything. In fact, she had already raised the pistol in her right hand, shooting the upper mechanical arm accurately.
Due to the bullets' force, Rafthar shouldn't be able to use that arm to attack. Then Maya waved her dagger in her left hand, stabbing Rafthar's lower arm.
To her surprise, Maya heard a clicking sound from her dagger, even though she was supposed to hit a normal arm. It was then she realized. The arm might look human, but Rafthar might have changed his bones into a mechanical one.
Not wanting to be beaten so easily, the back of his shoe suddenly ejected a small cylinder before that right foot flung toward her.
Unfortunately, Maya could sense it from the very start. She simply jumped and hit Rafthar's face with her knee.
