I Can Transform Into Any Monster-Chapter 44: Quick Way
Chapter 44: Quick Way
Luis could only smile upon hearing that. However, given Thomas’s age, he shouldn’t feel too uncomfortable about his mother remarrying.
"By the way, Alice, if I kill a Level 6 Monster, how many Battle Points do you think I’ll get?" he asked.
His focus now was on Battle Points, which meant he had to keep fighting.
He had no experience yet and wanted to know the details first.
His current Battle Points couldn’t be used as a reference for prediction because, after all, the Battle Points earned varied greatly depending on the level of the monster being fought.
"Around 50K if you kill that monster alone. If you only kill a Level 5 Monster, you might not get any Battle Points at all. If you’re lucky enough to kill a Level 7 Monster, the Battle Points you get could be over 500K. Of course, this is extremely difficult because even killing a Level 6 Monster is very challenging for most Level C Awakener who haven’t developed their strength further," Alice replied.
"However, there’s an easier way: killing humans. Even if you only kill a Level C Awakener, you’ll get over 300K Battle Points... If you’re really capable, you can level up quickly. This has never been recorded anywhere because it’s illegal, but many Awakener hunt each other to level up."
"What? Really?"
Luis was stunned in disbelief when he heard about killing humans.
Of course, he had suspected that fighting and killing humans would also yield Battle Points, but how could the difference be so huge compared to killing monsters.
Though killing humans is indeed harder, the difference isn’t as great as 50K versus 300K.
It’s closer to killing a Level 7 Monster, which is obviously harder.
"Do you do this often, Alice?" Luis asked, since today alone she had sold four hearts from Level C Awakeners.
They must have given her a lot of Battle Points.
"If there’s a worthy target to kill, I’ll do it. Sometimes I’m the one targeted," Alice replied calmly.
Luis nodded his head.
Alice often kills, but she seems to only kill those who deserve it.
"What if we kill a Level B Awakener? How many Battle Points would we get?" he asked.
When he asked this, Alice immediately gave him a serious look.
"3 million if you’re really capable," she answered while Luis took a deep breath.
"Yeah, stop here, I’ll go now," Luis said afterward.
He wanted to do something immediately to get Battle Points. Of course, he couldn’t keep hanging around with Alice.
Alice pulled the car over to the side of the sidewalk upon hearing his words.
"By the way, you haven’t returned my sword," she said as the car came to a stop.
Luis rolled his eyes at that.
He then took out the sword she had lent him.
The woman took it and immediately transferred it to her Dimension Artifact.
"But Alice, I really owe you," said Luis after that, remembering how Alice had helped him advance to Level C by using her own money, which was a very large amount.
"Don’t worry about it," Alice replied.
"It’s impossible for anyone with a heart," Luis said as he got out of the car.
"If you have time, would you like me to treat you to dinner? It might seem worthless, but I think it’s better than doing nothing," he added as he stood beside the door.
"Ohhh..." Alice looked into his eyes upon hearing that.
It seemed like he wanted to repay her, but if he could take her out to dinner, it would practically give him an opportunity to get closer to her.
Alice seemed to think before responding.
"Okay, but since you want to repay me, I don’t want to be treated to a regular restaurant," she said.
Luis didn’t expect her to agree so quickly.
Without realizing it, his heart was beating faster.
He then nodded and said, "Sure. I’ll find a nice restaurant. Right, how about when we go on the study tour to Velos 1?"
Before graduation, his school offered a trip for students who were graduating to Velos 1.
It was at their own expense. Luis was initially unsure if he could join, but now it didn’t matter.
"You can figure it out later," Alice replied.
She started to release the handbrake, so Luis quickly closed the car door because Alice was about to leave.
Whoosh!
The car sped off, and Luis stared at it with mixed feelings.
Strangely, his face was a little red.
’I feel like there’s a chance I could go on a date with her,’ he thought, making his head feel light as he started walking, which eventually caused him to bump into a tall man, so tall that his head only reached his neck.
This was certainly surprising because his height wasn’t below average.
He was 185 cm tall, so how tall was that man?
He instinctively took a step back, realizing it was a tall man in a black suit with bright blonde hair, indicating he was from the empire.
However, he had a slight difference—his skin was slightly darker than the other empire residents.
His body was indeed very tall. He might not even fit through Luis’s front door.
And Luis realized he wasn’t alone.
He was with two other men who were just as tall as him.
His expression immediately turned serious because he knew they weren’t ordinary.
Moreover, he had actually seen them before.
They were Isadonna’s guards whom he had seen after he stole her Lifeborn.
Luis quickly realized they hadn’t met by chance here when he saw their eyes as they stared at him.
It was a sharp and intense gaze.
"Boy, come with us. Miss Isadonna wants to meet you. She’s waiting for you at that restaurant," said the man he had bumped into, pointing to a luxurious restaurant not far from them.
Luis was even more surprised to hear that.
Isadonna wanted to meet him? What was happening?
He looked toward the restaurant the man had pointed out, but couldn’t see Isadonna inside because the restaurant had a closed design.
Only he saw someone else at the entrance.
It was Zane, Isadonna’s cousin.
The boy stared at him with a sharp gaze, as if he harbored a deeper grudge against him.
