Chapter 223: Filming and Fighting Back

“Do you really have a hand on things?: Yan Wenwen looked at Chu Xian hesitantly and asked.

“Don’t worry. I’m seventy percent sure.” Chu Xian nodded.

“En, I believe you. I will support you.” Yan Wenwen smiled at him, and gripped her phone and sat down.

Duan Ke and the others looked at her with some confusion, then sat down by Chu Xian.

“I’m sorry. If I hadn’t looked for this Feng Huo brat than none of this would have happened.” Duan Ke apologized.

Chu Xian shook his head. “Let’s just focus on filming, and you guys don’t worry about anything else.”

As he spoke, Chu Xian took out his phone and looked at David’s number. “Not now. I’ll call him later.”

“I’m going to kick that brats ass. Fucker, now all the entertainment news is bad shit about us. If this continues, even if we solve the problem at the theatre, people will not come to buy tickets.”

Duan Ke said angrily, and he swiped down his phone and began fighting on Weibo.

“Arrogant, a terrible actor, and an overbearing attitude – this is the first time I’ve met this kind of person. Not only does he suck at acting, he also loses his temper and shoved his fellow actor against the floor. And, you say you voluntarily left the cast? Fine, then please return the two million rob deposit to our cast. Hehe, you trash actor who spits out bald-faced lies, without a sliver of talent or virtue.”

Duan Ke had already dived into the deep end, and if he failed this time, he wasn’t sure if he could survive in the entertainment industry anymore.

Duan Ke’s post attracted a lot of attention, and the official Weibo accounts for the different entertainment news organizations all forwarded his post.

When people saw Duan Ke’s Weibo post, they began a new round of rabid discussion.

“What is really going on? What is this fight? I’m not that interested in Feng Huo, and I also don’t recognize this small director, but it seems like the situation is not exactly how Feng Huo described it.”

“Feng Huo was booted off the cast? No way. @FengHuo, did you return the two million rob, I really want to know?”

“That’s right, that’s right. If he left on his own, he definitely needs to return the money, but according to the director he clearly hasn’t returned the money yet. So the question is, did he really quit on his own, or was he kicked out?”

“Some of the things this director says is correct. No acting skills and arrogant – every time I see a character played by Feng Huo, I always feel extremely awkward, like other than some flashiness, he has nothing else.

Many people supported Duan Ke’s Weibo. The thing that China did not lack the most were haters and trolls, and a lot of people who hated Feng Huo also commented below.

When this Weibo was posted, a lot of small time news editors, actors and actresses in the entertainment industry also noticed a couple of questions.

But what was most surprising to everyone was that a person very quickly like Duan Ke’s Weibo.

When Duan Ke saw the like and the comment, he looked over at Yan Wenwen with surprise.

“This is bad for your future career. You should delete it now while only a few people have seen it.”

“It’s fine. I can just say that I liked it by accident, and tomorrow I can remove it.” Yan Wenwen smiled and shook her head in refusal.

Chu Xian heard their interchange and looked from the two of them with confusion. Duan Ke handed him his phone and whispered. “This is probably for your sake.”

Chu Xian shook his head with some bitterness, some guilt filling his heart.

Yan Wenwen looked at Chu Xian with some disappointment in her heart, but still smiled as she posted of the pictures she had taken. She posted the pictures of the sea view, and of her and the pink river dolphin, of Chu Xian riding a dolphin, of the six dolphins with her, and lastly of her and Chu Xian.

But she edited the picture of the two of them so people could not see Chu Xian’s face clearly.

After picking and choosing her pictures, Yan Wenwen laughed sweetly. “I’m very happy to have opportunity in taking part in such a special movie. Do you all see how beautiful the ocean is? And how pretty these dolphins are? Aren’t they cute? Am I also beautiful? Haha, let me tell you all, these pink dolphins are very rare. You will all be able to see more in my new movie. And I also think that our dolphin rider is very handsome!

When she finished writing, Yan Wenwen reread her message and then posted it.

With Yan Wenwen’s “accidental” like on Duan Ke’s post, and then her new message, the whole matter gained momentum again.

Numberless fans and internet people looked over the images with astonishment.

“What is happening? Did Goddess Wenwen’s hand slip. I feel like I can read between the lines.”

“Looks like it. The forthright and offense giving goddess Wen is doing something cute again.”

“This like hides the truth of the matter. The truth is right here. Don’t tell me that the goddess had a hand slip.”

“Wow, the goddess updated her Weibo. So many dolphins! They are so cute. Is this movie going to be about dolphins?”

“Fuck me. The Amazon River Dolphin is an incredibly rare dolphin! Goddess’ charm is too powerful. And this man whose face I can’t see, this father challenges you to battle. Let’s meet at the Forbidden City!”

“A film on the ocean. These dolphins and the sea view all seem quite nice, and this dolphin rider especially seems very handsome!”

To the people on the internet and the personalities in the entertainment industry, Yan Wenwen was a straight arrow. She spoke her thoughts, and sometimes could upset people, but her fans and many of the lurkers on the internet really liked her character and thought she was genuine. This was also the reason that she had so many fans that were part of every age group.

Duan Ke’s and Yan Wenwen’s posts began to slowly turn public opinion, and although many of Feng Quo’s stubborn fans still continued to insult them, many people believed that Feng Huo was not telling the whole story.

On the contrary, many people were looking forward to the movie, and the cute dolphins, and especially the pink dolphin, left people wanting for more.

Duan Ke read many of the new comments and let out a breath of relief. He turned to nod gratefully in Yan Wenwen’s direction.

But very quickly, a group of people appeared and began to talk bad about Duan Ke and his people again, and this group had many people. Many famous bloggers even began to talk about Duan Ke’s “dark past.”

The various internet denizens had no idea what to think, and were confused again.

This was when Feng Huo posted the record of a bank transaction and claimed that he had already returned the money. He said that if Duan Ke wanted to use this matter to pull him down than he would never succeed, and then played the victim card again, posting more pictures of his injury.

Suddenly, Feng Huo used his weakness to gather a lot of sympanthy, and Feng Quo’s fans and the paid internet army began to slander Duan Ke again, cursing and insulting him, using all kinds of words.

“Really shameless!” Duan Ke saw through Feng Quo’s actions and cursed angrily.

“Hehe, isn’t this fine. He voluntarily returned the two million rob; he’s basically investing in our movie. Stop stressing over these online matters, we just need to shoot our movie well, and when we’re done we can deal with this matter.” Chu Xian saw how everyone was gripping their phones angrily and he chuckled.

“Alright. Let him yell all he wants on the internet. We’ll organize a press conference and I will explain everything. Although we might no be able to give him a big blow, it should still make him uncomfortable.” Duan Ke angrily replied.

“En. Don’t pay attention to them, just shoot the film. We can release some of the videos you’ve taken later, and people won’t be able to help their curiosity.” Chu Xian said to him.

Duan Ke nodded, and they all went to rest.

The next day at noon, Chu Xian and the others arrived at the cruise ship area and began filming.

The filming began according to plan, but as they were working, Yan Wenwen realized a problem.

“Director, are we going to use special effects for the shark hunt and the ramming of ships? We don’t have any scenes for this, even if we use special effects it will look fake.”

Duan Ke smiled. “I knew you would ask this question. Come, come, let me show you some videos. These videos will be the ace of our movie.”

“What videos? Did you have some videos prepared already?” Yan Wenwen walked over with a confused look.

Duan Ke laughed, and showed them the videos he had saved on his computer.

As the videos ran, the mouths of Yan Wenwen, Ren Penghui, and Yan Zekun fell open in surprise.

“Heavens, is this real? Are you sure this wasn’t a set up scene?” The people asked in astonishment.

“You tell me. It was not easy for me to get these two videos. These will be the most explosive scenes in our movie, and no special effect can compare.” Duan Ke looked at their surprise with a pleased expression on his face.

These two scenes, each about ten minutes in length, had given everyone a boiling feeling as they watched.

“Brother Chu Xian and his men are so incredible. They actually killed a shark. This is crazy.” Yan Wenwen said excitedly, light flashing in her eyes.

Duan Ke laughed happily at their reactions. “It really was incredible. I’ve always been very confident in this movie, and if we just release a little bit of these movies, the audience will be amazed.”

Ren Penghui and Yan Zekun nodded in agreement. With just these two scenes, the movie was guaranteed to make it big.

“Alright, everyone keep working hard. It won’t be long before all the people will be shocked by our movie!” Duan Ke laughed loudly and called out.

The filming at sea continued, and many scenes about life at sea were filmed. They used those three days to finish all the filming here, and at this point about 90 percent of the movie was already completed.

When the fishing ship sailed back to shore, when they returned to the area where the submarine had sunk, they found many warships anchored in the area with soldiers lining their decks.

One of the ships had a crane like device attached to its front.

“The fishing ships heading in this direction, please take another route.” As they neared, a couple of the warships sailed over to them, blaring out commands with a speaker.

“What are they doing? Salvagin something?”

“It’s our navy. I wonder what they’re doing?”

The people gathered on Chu Xian’s ships gossiped in low voices. They didn’t know that this was where Chu Xian had taken the time to dive and check out the waters, and even if they thought of that event, the sea was so vast, and people had a hard time even telling the direction they were facing, much less guessing exact locations.

The three fishing ships took a long way around, and when Chu Xian closed his eyes to focus, he could detect the submarine being slowly reeled up.
