I Can Use Myriad Divine Abilities-Chapter 204: Choice
"The murderer is none other than Dian Wei of the True Martial Sect!"
The thunderous roar instantly shattered the peace of West Mountain Collection, spreading in all directions.
Those hiding in their homes couldn’t help but shiver upon hearing this voice.
They sensed something significant was happening!
Moments later, a man in blue swiftly approached, stopping at the door of the house where the black-clothed warriors resided.
The man was about forty years old, with a slender build and high cheekbones. His narrow eyes gleamed coldly, and he held a copper bone iron paper fan in his right hand.
The door was wide open, revealing the scene inside the room.
On the ground lay five bodies in disarray, some decapitated, others cleaved in two.
Each died a gruesome death!
The air was thick with the stench of blood, and the walls were splattered with crimson.
This horrific scene made one’s heart pound!
One of the heads lay at the man’s feet, face upward with wide, angry eyes, still showing the terror before death.
It was the black-clothed warrior.
The man in blue squinted, a flame igniting in his eyes.
This was blatant provocation!
Just then, the sound of clothes cutting through the air approached, and figures rapidly landed beside the man in blue.
They wore uniform tight-fitting garments, each with the emblem of the Ferocious Tiger Gang embroidered on their chest.
One of them glanced at the room, his face turning extremely grim, then bowed and asked, "Hall Master, should we..."
"What should we?"
Before he could finish, the man in blue impatiently interrupted, "The perpetrator has fled. What will you find by sending out a search party?"
The Hall Master of the Ferocious Tiger Gang said coldly, "Dian Wei of the True Martial Sect? Such audacity!"
He abruptly turned and stared at the person, "Immediately send a message to the main hall, demanding that the True Martial Sect hand over the murderer, or we will tear up the agreement and eradicate them!"
"As you command!"
In truth, everyone knew there was no expert named Dian Wei in the True Martial Sect.
Nine times out of ten, it was the murderer creating confusion and framing them!
But does that matter?
If the real murderer can’t be found, then the True Martial Sect must give an explanation.
At the very least, they should pay the price!
Ultimately, the root cause of such an event was the True Martial Sect, whether they admitted it or not.
The man in blue waved his hand, "Gather everyone together, and don’t give the enemy any opportunities."
Judging by his experience, the murderer who killed the five black-clothed warriors was at least at Tier Four cultivation.
A skilled assassin of this level required cautious vigilance.
If a similar incident were to occur again, the man in blue couldn’t face the consequences!
His orders quickly spread, and West Mountain Collection became noisy once more.
The gang members, previously dwelling separately, were forced to gather, losing the comfort and joy they once had.
They had to stay on guard against hidden enemies lying in ambush!
While the members of the Ferocious Tiger Gang were on edge,
the target of their curses and hatred had just returned to his hideout.
In a desolate, uninhabited area near the mountains, Zhang Yuan lifted a disguised cover and slipped into the hidden passage below.
They say a cunning rabbit has three burrows; carrying enormous secrets and a bounty on his head, hiding in West Mountain Collection for seclusion and training, Zhang Yuan couldn’t possibly have only one nest!
This place was even more secluded than Zhang Yuan’s home, yet it was also near the Long Celestial River.
Zhang Yuan dug a tunnel leading to the riverbed here and carved out two secret chambers within.
One chamber was for hiding and storing important items.
Upon reaching the secret chamber, only then did Zhang Yuan remove the Host’s Power he had been using.
With a series of intense cracking sounds from his joints, the swollen muscles on his body rapidly returned to their original size, his physique shrinking, and his height decreasing significantly.
Then, Zhang Yuan tore off the fake beard affixed to his chin and wiped the grime from his face.
He transformed from "Dian Wei" back into "Zhao Yun."
During the day, Zhang Yuan left his home in West Mountain Collection as a decoy.
He felt a simmering anger, needing a release to feel satisfied!
But for safety reasons, Zhang Yuan needed to put on this act to clear himself of suspicion.
Had he not encountered Qu Hong and the others earlier, he would have sought out Old Man Kou or made an appearance before others.
In fact, after Zhang Yuan left, he wandered around and quietly snuck back to the prepared hideout.
Or rather, hid inside the safe house.
Until night fell!
The targets he selected were naturally those who came to search his place.
The black-clothed warriors never imagined that ever since they left Zhang Yuan’s home, they had been marked by the Red-eyed Crow, an advanced servant spirit, not missing a single move.
In their most relaxed moment, Zhang Yuan launched his fierce attack.
With just three saber strokes, he slaughtered them all without leaving a single survivor!
The black-clothed warriors were not weak, their cultivation close to the peak of the Tier Three Transformation Realm.
But Zhang Yuan, having reached Tier Four, didn’t play by the rules. With an eightfold increase in strength and agility, coupled with the Saber Technique Profound Communication, he made a sudden, violent strike that sealed their tragic fate.
As for shouting "The murderer is Dian Wei of the True Martial Sect," Zhang Yuan knew this act wouldn’t fool the Ferocious Tiger Gang.
But it would certainly be a thorn in the side of the True Martial Sect.
Let them fight amongst themselves!
Having cleared his mind, Zhang Yuan stayed in the underground cave for two days.
On the third night, taking advantage of the cover of darkness, he quietly left.
This time, he truly departed.
He arrived at Ruins City and found an inn to settle down for the time being.
As for what to do next, Zhang Yuan needed to think carefully.
He had considered settling in the Great Dream Marsh, as mentioned by Old Man Kou.
To stay away from troubles and seek peace.
But the problem was, now that Zhang Yuan had broken through to Tier Four, he didn’t have a cultivation technique suited for Tier Four.
This meant his strength would be stuck at this level, without any possibility of advancement.
Let alone reaching Tier Five, Six, Seven...
How could Zhang Yuan be content?
Would he be able to find a Qi Entry Technique suitable for cultivation in the Great Dream Marsh?
Zhang Yuan thought the chances were slim.
But Xia Ruins was different.
Xia Ruins had a large population and gathered a vast number of martial artists.
There were numerous sects, and masters in the Qi Entry Realm were abundant.
There were definitely no shortages of high-tier cultivation techniques and martial arts.
However, Zhang Yuan was also well aware that finding a Qi Entry Technique suitable for himself would be extremely difficult.
Why would someone impart their techniques to him without any reason?
After much consideration, on the second morning after arriving in Ruins City, Zhang Yuan went to the Celestial King Hall located in the Central Ruins.
This Divine Hall, housed within half of a tall tower, was as bustling as ever.
Zhang Yuan found a Daoist Child, slipped him some silver coins, and requested an introduction.
Shortly thereafter, the Daoist Child came out of the Divine Hall and invited him inside for a conversation.
In a room within a side hall, Zhang Yuan met Daoist Xuan Cheng once again.
"Boundless Celestial Venerable!"
The handsome Daoist looked at Zhang Yuan without showing any surprise,
as if he had long anticipated his arrival!
