I Cast Forbidden Spells Until the World Breaks-Chapter 88 Something Is Wrong with the Light Spell
Garen’s shout instantly drew everyone’s attention to Zayne.
Their eyes lit up with sudden hope.
That was right.
They still had a Forbidden Spellcaster.
Inside the Champion Secret Realm, the rules prevented death.
A Forbidden Spellcaster who could not die, even at Level 25, could fight head on against Level 35 or even Level 40 Transcenders.
"Zayne, why are you still standing there?"
"What are you waiting for?"
"You killed almost every monster in the Champion Secret Realm by yourself."
"You still have the nerve to hide in the back now?"
"You are the only one who can deal with that demon."
"Stop acting like a coward."
With Garen taking the lead, the rest of his team immediately joined in, shamelessly trying to guilt trip Zayne.
Eva was so angry she nearly exploded.
She pointed at them and shouted.
"Earlier you were calling Zayne disgusting."
"You said he ruined things for you, the so called future pillars of Aurelion."
"Now you want him to save you?"
"Do you people have any shame at all?"
"I think you are the disgusting ones."
Some of them felt a flicker of guilt.
Then they frowned and snapped back.
"What do you know?"
"If Zayne had not injured us and slaughtered all the monsters, we would not be so weak now."
"That demon would not be a problem."
"In the end, this is still Zayne’s fault."
"You bastard."
"You actually dare to say that?" Eva exploded.
"Shameless."
She completely lost her temper.
She genuinely could not understand how people could be this vile.
"Forget it," Zayne said calmly.
"Why get angry at people like this?"
"They would blame gravity if they could not take a dump."
He then looked at Garen.
"I can step in."
"But I am not working for free."
"How about this."
"Everyone on your team hands over one piece of advanced or higher gear."
"That will be my payment."
Garen instantly cursed.
"One advanced item per person?"
"Zayne, you really know how to rob people blind."
"What?" Zayne replied calmly.
"I am risking my life to fight a demon."
"You are telling me your lives are worth less than one piece of advanced gear?"
"So in your eyes, gear matters more than everyone here staying alive?"
The sarcasm in his tone was obvious.
The other champions immediately turned to glare at Garen and his group.
Hostility flickered in their eyes.
Garen’s face turned green.
Under the pressure of public anger, he clenched his teeth.
He shot Zayne a vicious look.
Then he removed a ring from his hand and shoved it into Zayne’s palm.
"Take it if you dare."
"Just hope you live long enough to use it."
"That is not something you need to worry about," Zayne replied with a smile.
Seeing Garen hand something over, the others had no choice.
They darkened their faces and reluctantly removed a piece of gear each.
Zayne looked at the dozen advanced items in front of him.
His grin nearly split his face.
Selling these alone would make him a multimillionaire.
Add the five million reward from Old Shipyard Port.
He was easily worth over ten million now.
He would need to sell hundreds of kidneys to earn that much otherwise.
Seeing Zayne smile so brightly, Garen’s face twisted.
"Zayne."
"You have taken the payment."
"Why are you still not moving?"
Zayne ignored him.
He handed all the gear to Eva.
"Hold onto these for me."
"Be careful," Eva said softly, worry filling her eyes.
Zayne nodded and walked toward the demon man.
The demon was also studying him with interest.
"You humans are fascinating," the demon said lightly.
"Even now, you still fight among yourselves."
Zayne did not respond.
He raised the Raging Flame Staff.
His mana gathered at the tip.
"Fireball."
The moment he cast the spell, everyone nearly lost their minds.
"What is he doing?"
"Use a Forbidden Spell."
"Why cast Fireball of all things?"
"That demon is this strong."
"Does he not understand the situation?"
Even the demon man twitched at the corner of his mouth.
"Using Fireball against me."
"How naive."
He raised his hand, ready to crush the tiny fireball.
Then the fireball suddenly expanded.
In an instant, it transformed into a blazing red gold sun.
Boom.
The blazing sphere slammed down and swallowed the demon.
The temperature skyrocketed.
A violent wave of heat surged outward.
Everyone froze.
Zayne’s Fireball did not look like their Fireball at all.
Yet the chant and mana fluctuations were unmistakable.
It really was Fireball.
Had Fireball become this powerful now?
Only Garen and his group looked grim.
They had personally witnessed Zayne’s absurd power before.
Fireball was still reasonable.
A falling stone spell turning into a meteor was what truly defied logic.
After a brief stunned silence, cheers erupted.
"We are saved."
"We won."
"A Forbidden Spellcaster may be short lived."
"But their combat power is insane."
Just as the crowd celebrated, the raging flames vanished in an instant.
They disappeared as if swallowed by a black hole.
The demon man stood there unharmed.
His expression was calm.
Only his right arm showed severe burn marks.
"I can tell," he said slowly.
"You are different from the others."
"I admire you."
"Kneel beneath me."
"Become my hound."
"I will grant you endless glory."
Zayne looked at him.
"I admire you too," Zayne replied.
"How about this."
"You call me your father."
"When I become king, you can be the prince."
The demon man shook his head with mild regret.
"Then there is nothing to discuss."
"I will have to kill you."
The charred flesh on his arm suddenly writhed.
Blood and muscle regenerated at terrifying speed.
In just a few breaths, his arm was fully restored.
Zayne’s eyes narrowed.
The demon race truly had monstrous regeneration.
It was only slightly inferior to his own immortality.
The question was whether it had limits.
Zayne raised the Raging Flame Staff again.
The air ignited, forming a swirling vortex of heat.
"Light Spell."
He shouted softly.
The glow at the staff’s tip flared blindingly bright.
Light Spell was a basic fire type utility skill.
It was meant to produce a flame for illumination.
But the Light Spell released by Zayne was clearly wrong.
Under the shocked and horrified gazes of everyone present, a far more violent surge of fire erupted from the staff.
It transformed into a massive fire dragon.
The dragon roared as it charged at the demon.
Its body twisted through the air.
Everything it passed was incinerated.
A blazing trail burned across the sky.
Everyone stood there in silence.
Who in their right mind used this thing for lighting?
