I Dumped a Scumbag and Married A Boxer Star-Chapter 12: You Act Like Trevor
Chapter 12: You Act Like Trevor
Chapter 12: You Act Like Trevor
Steam filled the bathroom as Ines turned off the shower, wrapping herself in a towel.
The hot water had done little to ease her frustration.
Her father and Camila had cut her off, the entire world was watching her, and now she was stuck living with a man she barely knew.
She sighed, running a hand through her damp hair.
"At least I smell nice," she muttered, stepping toward the mirror.
Just as she reached for her brush, the bathroom door opened.
Raphael walked in, completely oblivious—until his eyes landed on her.
There was a moment of silence. A long, heavy moment.
Then—
"YOU PERVERT!" Ines shrieked, yanking the nearest object—a roll of toilet paper—and launching it at him.
It smacked against his chest before rolling to the floor.
Raphael raised an unimpressed eyebrow.
"Relax. I didn't see anything."
"GET OUT!" she yelled, grabbing another roll.
Instead of leaving, Raphael leaned against the doorframe.
"You act like I did it on purpose. It's my house. Maybe you should lock the door."
Ines' jaw dropped. "Excuse me? Are you blaming ME for this?"
"I'm just saying," he shrugged. "Besides, there's nothing to look at anyway."
A deadly silence filled the bathroom.
Then—
Another toilet paper roll came flying.
Raphael ducked just in time. "Are you serious right now?"
"Oh, I'm deadly serious!" she growled, grabbing yet another roll and chucking it at him with alarming aim.
"You creep! You absolute—"
"Okay, okay!" Raphael finally stepped back, dodging the last roll. "I'm leaving!"
He shut the door behind him, laughing as he walked away.
"Unbelievable!" Ines huffed, quickly getting dressed.
She threw on a pair of sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt Raphael had given her, the fabric drowned her body as always.
"Stupid boxer with his stupid smug face," she muttered, storming out of the bathroom.
She marched through the house, ready to give him another piece of her mind.
But as she approached the living room, she stopped.
Raphael was on the phone.
His tone was low, he sounded serious too.
"No. Not yet. But I'm keeping an eye on her."
Ines' breath stopped in her throat.
Who was he talking about?
She pressed herself against the wall, listening intently.
"Diego won't see it coming," Raphael continued. "He thinks he has control, but he's getting sloppy. He's been untouchable for too long."
Diego...was he talking about her father?
Ines' stomach twisted.
"I know what I'm doing," Raphael said confidently. "Just stick to the plan. I'll handle Ines."
Handle her?
Her pulse quickened.
What the hell was going on?
And more importantly—
What the hell was Raphael planning?
Ines stormed out of the hallway, her wet hair dripped onto her shoulders, her fists clenched at her sides.
Her blood was boiling, fueling her steps as she walked towards Raphael's voice.
She had heard him.
She knew she wasn't imagining things.
He had been on the phone talking about her father.
Something wasn't right, and she was going to find out what it was.
Raphael was standing in the middle of the living room, phone still pressed to his ear, but his sharp blue eyes immediately caught sight of Ines approaching.

He didn't even have the decency to look guilty.
"Listen, I have to call you back," he muttered into the receiver before hanging up.
Ines crossed her arms. "What were you talking about?"
"None of your business."
Her jaw clenched. "None of my—Are you serious?"
She took a step closer, lifting her head up to glare at him.
"You were talking about my father, and you're telling me it's none of my business?"
Raphael sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Drop it, Ines."
"Oh, I'll drop it," she said, taking another step forward.
"Right after you tell me exactly what you're planning."
Raphael gave her a bored look, shoving his hands into his pockets. "I'm not planning anything."
"Liar."
"Paranoid."
Ines let out a frustrated growl and before she could think twice, she lunged at him.
Her arms wrapped around his neck as she jumped on his back, clinging to him like an angry koala.
"Tell me the truth, you giant, lying boxer!"
Raphael stumbled slightly, caught off guard by the sudden attack.
"Are you insane? Get off me!"
"No! Not until you talk!" She started throwing weak little punches at his head, her damp hair whipped against his cheek.
"Ines!" He groaned, gripping her wrists to stop her pathetic assault.
"You punch like a spoiled little rich girl."
She gasped, offended. "Excuse you! I've been training—"
"You've been watching training videos," he corrected dryly, easily restraining her arms as she squirmed.
"That's not the same thing."
"I'm still kicking your ass right now, aren't I?"
"No. You're clinging to me like a very aggressive backpack."
Ines let out a huff and squeezed her legs tighter around his waist. "I hate you."
"I can live with that."
Before she could react, Raphael suddenly twisted his body and unhooked her legs.
And in just one move, he flipped her over his shoulder and placed her down onto the ground.
Gently. Too gently for someone who claimed he didn't care.
She blinked up at him in shock. "Did you just—"
"Yep."
"You put me down like I weigh nothing."
"You basically do."
Her mouth dropped open. "How dare—"
Raphael placed a finger on her forehead and pushed lightly, making her stumble back.
"You're done fighting for today."
"Not even close," she growled, stepping forward again. "I want answers."
He just stared at her.
"And I told you—you're not getting any."
"Why don't you tell me? Do you hate my status?"
There was something in Rapahael's back, like a muscle that twitched at her statement.
He slowly turned around, his eyes looked like they were full of hot lava, ready to burn Ines by any means.
He pushed her down, placed his hands on her shoulders, and ripped the hoodie in two pieces, exposing her bra.
"Wh-what are you doing?" She stuttered.
"See? This? Does it make you feel good being exposed? Vulnerable?" He growled at her like a beast.
"Raphael..." Ines mumbled his name.
"See? Your status doesn't work here...it doesn't help you defeat me."
Ines couldn't understand the change of his behaviour. Those eyes...those damned eyes...she'd seen them before.
"Yo-you act like Trevor..."
