I Got A Title: Lord Of The Time!-Chapter 51: Five GOAT
Chapter 51: Five GOAT
After walking for a few more hours, Lin saw sunlight — the sunlight he had been longing to see!
"Finally," Lin smiled slightly and walked toward the cherished rays of light he had been waiting for all these days.
He slightly covered his face with his hand and stepped out of the cave, finding himself in a vast hilly area. The sun’s rays painted his surroundings, and the blue sky enveloped everything he saw. These were the first vivid colors he had seen since arriving in the Magic World — excluding the blue mushrooms.
Walking forward, Lin looked around and thought:
"I’m in some kind of hilly area... The Abyssal Cave appears as a giant hole in a massive cliff... Interesting. Since I’ve successfully escaped that place, I now need to figure out where exactly I am in the Magic World so I can find a Fort Post as soon as possible."
"The area around the Abyssal Cave won’t be useful to me anymore, so I should start moving in some direction."
Lin placed his hand under his chin and began to think:
"Hilly terrain... Hilly terrain... There are no distinctly hilly regions in the Magic World, only those near various mountains... This definitely isn’t the Snow Lands, since there’s no snow here. The Three Peaks region has a zone filled with hills... But that place is also out of the question because it’s in the southern part of the continent, and I’m sure I’m in the northern part..."
"That’s because... there was the Great Union of Continents, where the small continent with the Three Peaks merged with another large continent — that’s the northern part, where I’m currently standing."
"In Shot’s diary, it was mentioned that he was in the Kingdom of Shan, and that’s one of the two kingdoms in the northern part. If I connect everything logically, then it’s clear — I’m in the northern part of the continent, which means I’m in the Great Underfined Peaks!"
Lin looked around and understood where he was. Although this was just a general region and not an exact location, it was better than nothing.
"Now, I just need to keep walking and hope I don’t end up in the Dead Lands..."
At the center of the northern continent lay a region known as the Dead Lands. It got its name because the percentage of anomalies and Distorted creatures there was much higher compared to other parts of the Magic World. As a result, exploration groups and adventurers rarely went there.
It was said that hidden deep within the Dead Lands were true treasures, obtainable through certain trials — but those were just rumors.
Lin sighed and walked forward into the clean and pleasant hilly area that displayed the natural beauty of the land. Perhaps places like this exist on Earth too, but they are not accessible to everyone, and ordinary people are rarely allowed to go there.
...
A full day had passed since Lin escaped from the Abyssal Cave. He remained in the hilly terrain, still trying to determine which part of the Great Underfined Peaks he had ended up in, but so far, without success.
Since he was in the hills, he also tried to Contact the katana, and to his surprise — he felt a small desire from the blade to cooperate with him. This made Lin genuinely happy, as it meant his stagnation in training with the katana might finally begin to lift.
Lin sighed.
"If I can successfully establish Contact with the katana, it will greatly increase my power, and I’ll truly be able to develop my skills even further."
As Lin continued walking, he noticed several mountain goats ahead, fighting each other over a female.
"Hm? Goats?" Lin immediately became alert and slowly drew his katana from its sheath.
"AAaa!" One of the goats roared and charged at the other with great speed!
Bang!
Their long horns clashed, creating a loud sound that Lin clearly heard. He looked at the battle and saw the two mountain goats viciously fighting each other with full killing intent!
All for the sake of a female!
"Nature is so strange... But either way, I’d better avoid them — I don’t need unnecessary trouble," Lin turned to take a detour to avoid fighting the goats.
But as always, just when he began to leave, the female goat noticed Lin’s silhouette in the distance and let out a roar.
The two goats immediately stopped fighting and turned to look at Lin — if their future mate wanted him dead, then dead he shall be!
The two goats immediately charged at Lin. Whoever killed him first — would win the female!
"Damn," Lin looked at the rather fast goats running toward him with pure killing intent!
"Looks like I’ll have to fight them. I just need to wait for the right moment to activate a skill and kill them instantly!" Lin’s eyes lit up with killing intent, and he prepared to use his ability.
"AAaa!!"
"AAaa!!"
The two goats roared as they came within ten meters of Lin!
Lin smirked slightly as they reached five meters — he activated the skill: "Slow Motion Perception"!
Instantly, a field of slowed time appeared. The once quick and agile goats now floated sluggishly in the air, while Lin raised his katana and made a horizontal slash!
Whoosh.
The katana passed through the goats like tofu, slicing them easily. Lin was even surprised — he had thought these goats might have tough bodies comparable to stone, but apparently, he was wrong.
He even decided to check their stats:
[Distorted Creature: Mountain Goat.]
[Rank: Beast.]
[Abilities: (none)]
[Description: Lives in hilly or mountainous areas. Loves to fight over females and will do anything to win one. Lives in small herds, usually has 1–2 offspring!]
"Empty husks," Lin scoffed, and since he still had time, he began slicing off the goats’ heads — maybe he’d get a Soul Shard?
When the skill’s duration ended, the slowed-time field vanished completely, revealing to the world that the two mighty-looking goats had been reduced to headless corpses lying on the ground.
Meanwhile, Lin — who had briefly lost his memory — looked around, not understanding where he was. freёwebnoѵel.com
The female goat saw what had happened to her suitors and immediately ran away!
Regaining his memory, Lin looked at the goat corpses and sighed — he hadn’t gotten anything from them.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
Hearing familiar claps, Lin’s expression changed drastically. He spun around and looked at the person behind him.
"Aran!"
