I Hate Systems-Chapter 921 Training Towards The Peak (Part 3)
His actions weakened him to a terrible extent. After all, from an entity that was empowered by all the deaths in the multiverse to someone now only empowered by the deaths in his Dreamland, Compass Carburettor's strength fell by a lot.
It had to be understood that his concept was Mortality. Meaning, his concept only existed at the moment of a life's death. So, at that moment, it empowered him.
But before and after that, he wasn't empowered.
Meaning, if suppose ten million creatures were to die at one moment, Compass Carburettor would be empowered accordingly. But in the next moment, eight million creatures were to die, it would mean a reduction in his strength by twenty percent.
This was how concepts functioned. If they were in use, they functioned. If not in use, they vanished. The greater their use, the stronger they were.
This was why Truck-Kun's strength continued to climb over the years, because more and more people were becoming aware of his concept, which empowered him when all accidents related to trucks were put on him.
So, in the case of ten million deaths, if only one million deaths were to happen the next second, Compass Carburettor would only be at a tenth of his prior strength.
But, this didn't matter in the end. After all, the multiverse was just that ginormous. The number of deaths happening every second was impossible for the human mind to fathom and wrap around.
So, Compass Carburettor was being empowered to a tremendous extent. But now that it wasn't there, he became weak immediately. But, he wasn't concerned.
After all, every single particle in his Dreamland was a Secret Society member. Meaning, even the smallest of atomic reactions would mean the death of two members—atoms—and the birth of a new member—molecule.
So, as every single particle was treated as a living entity in his Dreamland, even the most minimalistic of actions would cause the deaths of countless Secret Society members and the birth of many.
Thanks to that, he was still strong enough.
Externally, he only represented the present of his concept. That meant that he was only empowered by the deaths happening at that moment. And when he tried to synchronise with the past of ten universes and be empowered by the deaths of its past, he exploded.
It was too much for him to bear.
But in the case of the Dreamland, that wasn't an issue. After all, every single particle there was himself, and the data regarding everything happening there too was stored in his Dreamland. Meaning, as the deaths continue to happen in his Dreamland, he was gradually growing stronger in a cumulative manner.
The number of deaths happening at that moment only contributed to the rate of his concept's growth and not the overall strength it output. So, even though he was weakened at the moment, his potential was endless.
Boom!
With his thoughts concluded, Compass Carburettor unleashed a terrifying suction force, causing the star to shrink in response, causing its gravitational pull to become fiercer. This ended up attracting the stars nearby, causing them to collide to create an even more terrifying star.
The gravitational pull accumulated, causing its effective range to increase as one after another, more stars were being pulled towards it.
And at the centre of it all was Compass Carburettor, absorbing the succulent energy in a controlled manner as he used the power of his Dreamcraft every time the situation went bonkers and a blackhole was created.
Using Dreamcraft, he reversed the cause and modified it to keep everything steady. The last thing he wanted was to be blown into smithereens by an accident of nature. Yes, he would revive immediately after since his concept wouldn't be damaged by a natural explosion, but it would interrupt his absorption.
He would have to waste a lot of time to get the flow right once again. As he was running short of time, he had no plans to waste it.
Boom!
The Dreamland expanded in size, causing new land to form. And from the land emerged all sorts of creatures, from animals to insects to humans and even plants. Once they gained their forms, they began to build their respective civilisation, as if kids woken up from a long dream.
The world began to rapidly take shape based on the free will of the people there. The seven Psyche Stars were in the sky, shining their light on every living creature as they gradually distanced themselves from one another as the space was expanding. f𝐫𝑒𝗲𝙬𝒆𝚋𝐧૦𝘃𝗲l.c𝚘𝘮
As long as the Dreamland becomes massive enough to house trillions upon trillions of lifeforms, his strength would continue to grow at a rapid pace. And all he needed to create more was simply sunlight.
That was bountifully available in the present universe. Compass Carburettor calculated that even if he spent a century in this universe, he would still be unable to absorb all the energy present in the stars here.
It made him change his mind about the strength a Genre Representative wielded. After all, they encompassed the entirety of the universes under them, for the laws of the worlds in them were connected to the foundation of the universe.
But, just as he experienced, there was an internal conflict in their powers. The majority of the powers simply conflicted with each other, only resulting in minor dregs that survived the constant clash.
The powers unleashed by the Genre Representatives were just these 'dregs.'
"So, that was why they always remain on the fence. It's not that they weren't pressured by the Systems, but it was just that they represented such an unscalable power that even the mighty Systems were just ants in their perception." Compass Carburettor muttered, "After all, even with the dregs resulting from the clash in the millions of powers funnelling into them, the Genre Representatives are still able to fight on par with the Systems."
"That's their true foundation." Compass Carburettor muttered as his merchant nature caused him to complain in response, "How inefficient. They're barely employing a fraction of a percentage of their boundless power."
"No, it's not that they won't use beyond that, but they can't." He nodded in understanding, "It was the same for me too. The moment I tried to harness a bit more of my concept's true potential, I exploded."
"It's kind of irritating indeed. Now, what Arnark uttered before Immortal's death makes sense."
