Suddenly, Yu Chen's expression grew somber. His eyes intent on her face as the silence lengthened.

Xiaolei raised her hand and touched his face. \"The accident made me remember all the memories I lost.\"

\"You… you lost your memory?\" Yu Chen couldn't believe what he heard. When Xiaolei told him everything that happened from that day she saw him killing Mr. Han until she fell on the slope and lost her memories, Yu Chen was so shocked he froze for a long while. Pain and regret started to fill his eyes. All he could do at that moment was yank her towards him and embrace her.

\"I'm sorry... I'm sorry… I didn't know. I thought you really hated me and decided to forget about me. I didn't know you were hurt…\"

\"No, you don't have anything to apologize for. You and I didn't know a thing about what had happened that time. I thought you left me while you thought I hated you. It was all a misunderstanding.\" She smiled so gently at him and her sweet smile and her words made his face finally soften..

He sighed, deeply relieved. At the same time, he couldn't help but feel guilty and upset knowing that Xiaolei had suffered a lot as well. And that he didn't even know it. All this time, he thought that she really hated him that she decided to forget everything about him.

He told her that he had met Sei and Zaki during his stay in country H.

When Yu Chen asked her back about what happened to her after she left that day, Xiaolei also told him the unexciting story of her life. She told him that she returned to Snowflakes village and lived a quiet simple life until she returned to Central City when she was eighteen.

The two were like old buddies that had finally reconciled after so many years and before they knew it, they had already spent hours just talking about the past and answering each other's questions.

Xiaolei was about to open her mouth to ask again when they both heard a vibrating sound. Yu Chen lifted the phone that was on the table and answered the call.

\"Boss, what's the order? Everything's ready.\" They both heard Gu Wei's voice and when Yu Chen looked at the clock, he was surprised.

\"We're going to get ready now.\" Answered Yu Chen before he looked at Xiaolei. \"Xiaolei, we're going home,\" he said and Xiaolei nodded at him.

\"Okay, but I still have a lot of questions to ask once we get home, okay?\"

\"Mm.\"

After that, they finally returned to their rooms. Xiaolei immediately packed up. She couldn't believe that she had lived in this place for four months. It was still like a dream.

When everything was ready, Xiaolei was getting suspicious because Yu Chen seemed to be delaying. She couldn't even talk to him after they separated because he was always talking to someone on the phone. She waited for him patiently but the man suddenly seemed so busy. Gladly, she also received an important call from the company at that time so she somehow made herself busy as well while waiting for Yu Chen.

The sun was about to set and they were still at the hospital. Xiaolei finally decided to confront Yu Chen when the Chens suddenly arrived.

Yu Chen had spent an hour talking to Sei and Zaki. Xiaolei was busy with the document Gu Jinyang sent her that she didn't even notice the trio, especially Zaki and Yu Chen glancing at her occasionally as if they were talking about her. Yu Chen was serious as always while Zaki was grinning about something.

Time passed and the Chens were finally about to leave.

\"Do your best, little bro,\" Zaki was grinning widely, even winking as he patted Yu Chen's shoulder. \"You're our brother so I believe you will do well, hehe. Just don't faint, okay?\"

\"I won't.\" Yu Chen firmly replied, causing Zaki to chuckle.

\"That's the spirit. Fainting is definitely out of the question. Also, I have some golden advice for you,\" Zaki leaned in on Yu Chen to whisper something but before he could say anything, Sei pulled him away from Yu Chen.

\"Stop giving unnecessary advice.\" Sei was serious, causing Zaki to pout in disappointment.

\"We're leaving now, Yu Chen. Do your best.\" Sei simply said as he too patted Yu Chen's shoulder, before the two finally walked away from him.

\"Little sis, we're leaving.\" Zaki said as they stopped before Xiaolei and the busy Xiaolei immediately stood and bid them goodbye.

As soon as the two were gone, Yu Chen then walked towards Xiaolei and at long last, they too finally left the hospital.
