Chapter 343: Chapter 343: Blood Wolf

An invasion on my territory? Insane! Who could it be?

Song Jian’s face darkened, rage stirring within him instantly. He hurried to the window of Proud Castle and gazed outwards.

He noticed that within the walls of his Manor Castle, nothing seemed damaged. However, practically all the buildings in the ten-meter span outside the walls were destroyed. Three structures had been utterly obliterated, reduced to charred ruins.

In the distance, the unused pieces of land transformed into farmlands were also extensively damaged. Numerous NPCs were busy repairing the buildings and reclaiming the farmlands.

Inside the territory, blood crows no longer perched on the Bloody Ghost Poison Trees but circled around the perimeter, their ruby-red eyes emotionless as they surveyed the area like radar.

Gnarled zombies stained red roamed the territory, emitting deep growls now and then that underscored their ferocity. Their presence struck fear into all the NPCs working within the territory, who hastily kept their distance.

What surprised Song Jian even more was spotting several fierce blood wolves within his territory. Their coats were blood-red like calves with a tyrannical aura surrounding them.

“Is this… a blood-slave, the Bloody Huge Wolves, produced by a third-level Blood Pool?” Song Jian examined their attributes, a look of surprise crossing his face.

The Bloody Huge Wolves’ attributes matched those of level fifteen normal monsters. More importantly, these wolves had potential to level-up. It wouldn’t be long before they could surpass the strength of level fifteen elite bosses.

“Thirty level fifteen elite bosses, who will dare to invade my land then!” Song Jian’s eyes sparkled as he pondered the attributes of the upgraded Bloody Huge Wolves.

” Whoever this fool is must have a death wish to dare invade my territory!” Song Jian hastily poured over the system notices. To his surprise, his opponents were well over a dozen NPC professionals, among whom was the Dwarf Commander. The Commander was responsible for destroying two of the three structures.

“Just like bothersome flies!” Song Jian frowned. His relations with these NPC professionals had changed entirely to enmity. As per the new status quo, whenever Song Jian crossed paths with them, their names would flash in red as a sign of their hostile relationship.

“Luckily, three of the fools died on my territory. You steal a chicken and lose the rice, try daring to come again!” When he reached the end of the system prompt, Song Jian saw that three level fifteen elite bosses had perished within his land.

Apparently, after barging into his territory, they headed straight for the Manor Castle. The Bloody Ghost Poison Trees cooperating with the defenses of the castle resulted in their swift annihilation.

“Huh, even Dr. Ebsiting took action! The last guy was blown up by him!” Upon reading the name of the last killer of the invaders as Dr. Ebsiting, Song Jian wore an expression of curiosity.

Everyone knew that Dr. Ebsiting was as threatening as a chicken tied up for slaughter. As a man of science, he was without violent capabilities. Despite his high rank of fifteen, in a fight against even a level five ordinary player, he would be the clear underdog.

“He managed to kill an NPC of a level fifteen elite boss. What method did he employ?” Song Jian’s curiosity was evoked.

The system hint only showed that Dr. Ebsiting killed an invader without providing details on how he did it.

“Dear Lord, we are relieved you’re back.” The steward, George, looked rather out of sorts. His arm was bandaged and hung across his chest. Once Song Jian had arrived, George received the news and promptly rushed over to greet his lord.

“George, are you hurt? How severe are the losses to the territory?” Song Jian was astounded, while damaged buildings could be rebuilt, the NPCs he personally recruited could not be resurrected once dead.

George’s vitality points had dropped by a third, and the lost third wasn’t recoverable. Only when his broken arm healed fully could the vitality points be completely restored.

“My Lord, the territory experienced a sudden invasion, causing some buildings to suffer damage. They also pillaged some of our food provisions and many laborers were injured. However, fortunately, the losses were not severe.” George embarked on a thorough report of the damages to the territory.

Song Jian nodded slightly. He had full faith in George and was reassured since he had taken steps to mitigate the damages immediately upon detecting the invaders.

“This time, it was thanks to the pets you raise, my lord, that the territory wasn’t completely destroyed.” George’s face showed visible relief as he continued, “Especially those red giant wolves. Their sudden appearance ultimately drove all the invaders away.”

Song Jian chuckled to himself. These Bloody Huge Wolves, blood crows, and blood zombies were all level ten when he got them, more powerful than a standard level ten monster, albeit weaker than an elite level boss, they were akin to elite monsters of level ten.

Thirty elite monsters, coupled with the defense measures within the territory, weren’t odd at all in thwarting the group of level fifteen elite NPCs.

Moreover, following the battle, Song Jian noticed a few Bloody Huge Wolves had already leveled up to twelve and thirteen, appearing even more ferocious than before.

“Well, George, you have performed well and deserve a reward!” Song Jian declared with a smile. He raised his hand, and a white light enveloped George.

Surgery healing!

George’s arm was restored in no time. Then Song Jian handed George five thousand Doomsday Coins to distribute among the NPCs who had contributed in the resistance against the invasion.

Immediately, the morale among the NPCs within the territory surged.

“My lord, Dr. Ebsiting asked me to tell you to visit him if you return. It seems he has something to tell you,” relayed George respectfully.

“Alright, I will see him,” acknowledged Song Jian as he turned to head towards the laboratory of Dr. Ebsiting in the Sub-castle.

Just as he entered the Sub-castle, Song Jian heard a loud detonation from a nearby room.

Boom~

The entire Sub-castle shook with the impact noticeably. The color drained from Song Jian’s face, and he hurried towards Dr. Ebsiting’s lab. The explosion seemed to originate from there.
