Chapter 43: Finally Ready

"Thank you for your patronage!! Please visit us again!!"

Raiden walked out of the store with Woolie, having successfully sold his produce elsewhere. He opened his phone to check the current balance.

Current Balance: 324,127 Credits

Looking at the 6-digit number, Raiden felt happy. He had sent 10,000 to his sister for her expenses, only keeping 4,000 something for himself. But after this visit, his bank balance swelled once again.

"Let’s go Woolie!! Today, you can eat whatever you want, and as much as you want!!" Raiden proclaimed boldly, feeling a little cocky after receiving the money.

"Woolie!~" ヾ(≧▽≦)〃

Raiden took the excited Woolie towards a restaurant, where he was sure he can get his money worth, a buffet.

After ordering food for both of them, Raiden started having his meal with gusto, as did Woolie. At first, they both started slow, taking their time.

But as time passed by, both of them started to pick up speed, becoming faster and faster, their appetite growing even larger.

By the time both of them were done with food, it looked like a hungry ghost had passed through, with dishes of food stacked till roof.

The manager, who had come out at an unknown time, was standing behind both of the gluttons, barely holding back his anger.

"Dear guest, are you done eating?" He asked with barely concealed anger in his voice.

"Ahem, I am done. The food was extremely great. We are stuffed. Thank you." Raiden replied sincerely, patting his stomach, with Woolie copying his gesture and patting his own stomach.

"That’s great!! Would you like to kindly settle the bill now?" He asked.

Now it was Raiden’s turn to be confused.

"Bill? What bill? Haven’t I already paid for both of us?"

"You have a nerve to say you paid?! You guys only paid around 200 Credits, yet you ate food worth 1,000 Credits at the very least!! This won’t do, you guys are not leaving here until you settle the bill!!" The manager dropped his calm facade, threatening him.

"Oh, are you threatening me? Do you know who I am? What I can do? Just one phone call, just one call, and you’ll happily let me go!! Do you dare?" Raiden also felt pissed off. If you can’t afford to do it, don’t open a buffet. Not to mention he had already paid for it in advance.

"I also like to see who you dare to call. I am waiting right here. Nobody can save you and let you go today unless you pay the full bill. Boys!!" The bald, fat man of the manager shouted, and suddenly, around 10 bouncer-type guys appeared and surrounded both Woolie and Raiden in the centre, calling out their Terrans as well.

Seeing this, the surrounding crowd backed away, watching from afar and pulling out their phones to record this.

Woolie, who had been lying on his back, jumped off and landed on the table, with violet electricity surrounding him, ready to move as soon as one of them dared to move.

"So you really won’t let me go, peacefully?" Raiden asked with a calm voice.

"Not unless you pay for what you have eaten, you are not going anywhere." The manager replied in a low growl.

"Then you leave me with no other choice." Saying that, Raiden pulled out his phone and dialled a phone number.

Seeing this, the rest of the people tensed, wondering who he would call for backup.

With a click, the call connected.

"Hello? Yes, Verdant Hollow Police Station? Please come fast, some thugs have surrounded me, refusing to let me go if I don’t pay some money!! The Address is..."

Hearing his words, the people around him fell flat on their faces. It was like two students made an agreement to fight behind the school 1vs1, but then the opponent showed up with a teacher.

"Ahem...little brother, no big brother!! There is no need to call the police; we were just joking with you. You are free to go anytime. Nobody is stopping you. We’re really sorry."

"There is no need, let the police come. I don’t want to leave here." Raiden refused.

Hearing this, the manager felt even more panicked. This wasn’t how he thought this would turn out.

After a lot of begging, he was finally able to get Raiden to leave, and even had to pay out of his pocket for it. He felt like crying. He made sure to ban this guy from the store next time, and even instructed everyone to close the store directly if they ever see him coming.

Raiden, on the other hand, walked out happily, feeling 500 Credits richer than he started.

Ever since they started training, their appetites have grown huge, and he has never eaten so much until today. Worth it.

---------------------

"Volt Tackle!!"

Bang!!

With a final bang, Woolie’s attack connected with 3 different Terra Beasts at the same time, all three hitting the ground and staying there.

Raiden looked at the little sheep standing in the centre of what can only be described as carnage.

There were at least 50 bodies littered everywhere around him, as he stood in the centre unharmed.

"Alright, Woolie, that’s enough for today. Come here."

Hearing this, the sheep lost all its intimidating aura and happily skipped over to Raiden, rubbing its face against his hand.
