I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!-Chapter 61: The Training Starts
"Woolie?!" Woolie felt alarmed as he found all his legs shackled by metal clamps that rose from the ground, before the whole platform started moving like a ground escalator, moving him towards the centre of the machine.
Next, a big metal arm dropped from the ceiling as it lifted Woolie up in the air.
"Hey, what is happening to him?!" Raiden looked on with worry in his eyes as he grabbed Roy, demanding answers.
"Relax, boy, it is a standard procedure; it won’t hurt him at all. He has just been lifted so we can scan his parameters properly. Look!" Roy pointed towards the machine, and true enough, the metal arms stopped in the middle, suspending Woolie in mid air, who was kicking his legs in the air in futility.
"Just ask him to relax, okay? It’ll all be over in a few seconds." Roy spoke as he input some kind of commands in the machine, which brought at least 8 different scanners from all directions that started to scan his body.
Seeing the machine wasn’t harmful, Raiden relaxed.
"Woolie, stop moving for a bit. We are checking to see how strong you are!!" Hearing Raiden’s words, Woolie stopped struggling and charging electricity as he looked at Raiden with an adorable expression on his face.
"Woolie Woo Wool!" ヾ(≧o≦)〃
Human, this thing is weird!! Get me out of here!!
"Ding! Scan completed!" A pleasant and slightly mechanical voice spoke in the air. The arm slowly brought Woolie down, dropping him onto the ground.
As soon as he hit the ground, Woolie jumped up from the place and hid behind Raiden’s legs as he looked at the evil machine with a wary expression. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"The results are ready? Would you like to see it?" Roy asked with amusement in his voice as he observed Woolie’s reaction.
"Yes, we want to see the results!"
"Chirp!~"
It was Morgana who spoke this time, with an eager look on her face. Clearly, she still wasn’t satisfied with her loss and wanted to see how strong he was compared to her.
"Alright, here you go." As soon as Roy finished speaking, the whole wall behind him lit up, turning into a big screen as it showed a big image of Woolie, with various data written across it.
[Name: Woolie]
[Race Type: Variant]
[Strength: Intermediate]
[Speed: Intermediate]
[Defence: Low]
[Bone Density: Low]
[Elemental Powers: Thunder (Intermediate)]
[Overall Development: Mid Tier Bronze Level Terra Beast]
"That’s impossible!!"
Looking at the modest figures across the chart, Morgana spoke up first before Raiden could say anything.
"There is no way he could be a Mid Tier Terran, there must be a mistake in there somewhere!!" She refused to accept it.
Clearly, the feats he performed in the match were anything but mid-level Bronze Tier.
"Don’t slander us like that, miss. This machine is even more accurate than the one your family has. You can test it yourself if you don’t believe me." Roy spoke with a resigned expression.
"I will." As soon as Roy finished speaking, Cinder flew from Morgana’s shoulder and landed in the centre of the machine, clearly familiar with how it worked.
"Uncle Roy, what do all these terms mean? And what is this Mid Tier Bronze Level Terra Beast?" Raiden asked curiously. He had not seen or come across such terms before.
"Well, you do know that there is a classification between Terra Beasts on the same level, right? For example, a baby light dragon will always be stronger than a Green Caterpillar, Lumy. While the exceptions are always there, that is generally true for most Terra Beasts." Raiden nodded at this.
"But this created a mess of a system, because we couldn’t judge if a Terran is ready to evolve or not based on its development cycle, since all of them functioned differently, some of them lacking even the slightest bit of combat power." Seeing that Raiden was following along, he continued to speak.
"That’s why the scientists developed a new machine, which only monitors the growth of cells in their bodies and their natural capacity, rating how much a Terra Beast has developed its abilities already. That overall development is ranked like this, with Low, Intermediate, High, and Top. Your Woolie hasn’t even hit its High Tier yet. Simply put, your Woolie is underdeveloped." Roy shrugged his shoulders as he spoke.
"Woolie Woo Woo!!" ( 。 •̀ ᴖ •́ 。)💢
Who are you calling underdeveloped!! You are underdeveloped!! Your family is underdeveloped!!
Woolie started feeling angry at this rude man’s words. He was a big boy already, an Emperor!! Humph!
"Ding! Scan completed!" Just then, Raiden saw Morgana walk towards them, already having completed the testing.
"Pull my data up! And compare it side by side with Woolie." She commanded.
"Alright, princess. If that’s what you want." Roy shrugged as he clicked another button, splitting the screen in half.
[Name: Blue Phoenix]
[Race Type: Variant]
[Strength: Intermediate]
[Speed: High]
[Defence: Intermediate]
[Bone Density: Intermediate]
[Elemental Powers: Fire (High)]
[Overall Development: High Tier Bronze Level Terra Beast]
Looking at the data on the screen, Morgana fell silent. She could accept Woolie being stronger than her Cinder. But he somehow had more potential, too??
She felt like she was raising a fake celestial beast, while Raiden was raising a real one. It was all mixed up.
"Ara Ara~ The results are very surprising indeed." The door chimed open as Isadora walked with surprise in her voice.
"You certainly seem to be full of surprises, my boy~ Are you sure you don’t want me to tie my daughter up and put her in your bed?" Isadora asked, her voice full of amusement.
"Mom!! What are you saying!!" Morgana yelled first, feeling embarrassed.
"Joking, joking! Don’t take me too seriously, dear!" She waved her hands, but Raiden felt like she was half serious about her offer.
"Anyways, now that I know the data, we can work on the things that are lacking. Come, follow me."
Isadora turned around and started walking with her high heels, forcing everyone to keep up with her.
"I trust you have opened that room, Roy?" She asked in her official tone.
"Don’t worry, boss!! I have done as you asked! It’s ready for use immediately!!" Roy patted his chest as he spoke, indicating full confidence.
"That’s great!" Soon, Isadora started walking again with the curious duo behind her.
"Here we are, dear. Go ahead, walk in." Isadora stopped in front of a circular dome that was at least 10 kms in diameter, with a ceiling at least 5 kms. Clearly, this dome wasn’t built to train Bronze Terra Beasts.
"What kind of place is this, Mom?" Morgana asked curiously. She had never seen it before.
"You can say it’s a very special training place. Why don’t you both go inside and check it out yourselves?" Isadora spoke, her voice tinged with amusement.
"Okay, let’s go, Cinder!!" Clearly knowing her mother’s nature, she didn’t argue much, just opened the door and walked in directly.
Seeing this, Raiden started to hesitate.
"What are you worried about, boy? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Only Platinum and higher Tier Battle Masters get to use this place, that too after achieving a lot of merit!! Don’t waste it! Go in, hurry!!" Seeing him hesitate, Roy urged from the side.
"Fine! Let’s go, Woolie, let us check this place out!!"
Raiden walked into the room. As soon as he took 5 steps inside, he found himself under impossible pressure, pushing him towards the ground and compressing his whole body and shifting the organs from within!!
Feeling the sensation of extra weight on his whole body that made him unable to move, Raiden recognised what this place was immediately!!
"Gravity Chamber!!"
