I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 83: Pocket Center

Blaze leads Blaze-Wolf and Shadow down so that they can meet Kana.

It is better for her to know their existence so that she can cooperate with them in dangerous situations.

Kana is inside the living room, doing one of her yoga poses on the mattress that Alyson used this morning.

Blaze hasn’t seen her do yoga in a very long time.

She is free now, so she can do whatever she wants. Blaze doesn’t want her to work even for another day in her life.

Kana hears her son’s footsteps but doesn’t turn back and keeps doing the poses.

"Hey, kiddo! I was thinking of going back to work tomorrow..."

She stops abruptly when she sees the two men accompanying Blaze.

One looks very similar to her son, while the other is insanely tall. He must be the tallest person Kana sees in real life, not counting all the athletes on the television.

"Mother. Let me introduce you to Wolf and Shadow."

"Hi, Mom!" The clones speak in unison.

This creeps Kana out of her mind, and she walks beside Blaze, whispering in his ear.

"Why are they calling me Mom?"

"Because we are Blaze." Blaze-Wolf answers from across the room.

"What..." Kana freezes instantly. She doesn’t know what to think about this.

Blaze chuckles and explains further.

"It’s my power. You can think of it like I make a copy of myself..."

"So a clone?" Kana interrupts.

"That’s right, Mom. They’re me. I made them to protect you. In case there is an emergency, you know." Blaze says.

"We can help around the house also," Shadow says.

"And accompany you to go around." Blaze-Wolf says.

"You aren’t going to let them follow me anywhere, right, Blaze?"

Blaze smiles but doesn’t answer.

Blaze-Wolf speaks up instead.

"Of course not, Mother. But if you go somewhere public, we will go with you."

"How did you..."

"As I say, Mother. We are actually one person, even though the clones’ appearance is different from mine.

What you said to me, they also heard it."

The original Blaze says.

"I am not okay with having two strangers follow me everywhere."

Kana shakes her head profusely.

"But we aren’t strangers. We are your son.

I know it’s a bit overwhelming, but I am a registered A-rank Awakened now.

People may harm you to take advantage of me.

Blaze-Wolf steps closer and says. His eyes gleam with sincerity.

Kana can see her son inside this huge body. She touches Blaze-Wolf’s cheek, caressing it gently.

Now I need to cook food for three more people? I won’t even have the time to work now."

All three Blazes scratch their heads.

Then Blaze-Zero walks in from outside the room.

This clone looks exactly like Blaze from before, so Kana feels more connected to it.

She approaches it immediately and rubs its head.

"Woah! This is you from before. When you were still shorter than me."

"But why does this one seem a bit weird?"

"I am not yet powerful enough to split my mind to it. So it only reacts to my order and follows it.

You can think of it like an automated robot."

"So this is an unintelligent clone. Is that what you mean?"

"Hey! What kind of response is that? I birthed you, Blaze. Your mother is not dumb!"

"I’m sorry, Mother!"

The three Blazes all stick out their tongues, trying to act innocently.

"Well. I just want to introduce you to them so that you won’t be surprised.

Wolf and Shadow will be your bodyguards and helpers.

While Zero is mostly going to train, eat, and sleep.

They will help you around the house and take care of themselves so you don’t need to worry about taking care of all of us.

And you can also have all the free time in the world to do whatever you want."

"That sounds great! I can finally retire!

But wait, I still have to go to work."

"You don’t need to, Mother.

I’ll take care of everything from now on. The money, the house, and your safety."

"Well... I know you will, kiddo.

But I actually want to work. It’s boring to stay at home doing nothing."

"If you like to work, then work, Mother.

But consider it like a hobby. Doing it to pass the time only.

Kana’s eyes are slightly teary. She wipes off the corner of her eyes.

Blaze hugs Kana. Instinctively, Wolf and Shadow also chime in.

Only Zero is looking aimlessly to the wall.

Kana cries out for help. Three Blazes hugging at the same time is too much to handle.

They all laugh at each other in the end.

After arranging the clones, Blaze puts on his new clothes and goes out in the night.

His clothes are still very simple. Dark pants, a dark shirt, and a jacket. Only now they are perfectly fitting him.

The Pocket Center is a group of thirteen white doors with a red outline.

These doors are placed in a line, and everyone can walk into it.

When Blaze arrives at the doors, there are quite a lot of people around.

On one side are the thirteen doors standing. On the other is a street of stores, hotels, and all types of buildings.

People focus a lot on business near the Pocket Center so that they can benefit from it. It is a wise thing to do, as the Awakeners always have money to spend when they walk out of the Pocket Center.

There are lines of people standing in front of the doors, waiting for their turn to be in.

They do not have to wait for long, though. As the previous person goes in and the door closes completely, the next person can immediately open and enter.

This prevents any jam from happening.

Blaze doesn’t know exactly the logic behind the Pocket Center, as he never went into one.

But now, he finally has the chance to check out what it is like.
