I opened a shop on the Astral Train-Chapter 56
Chapter 56 - 56
Inside the train.
Jing Yuan and Fu Xuan boarded the train.
The two were led by Pom to a room on the second floor of the party carriage, where a sign reading "Clara's Exclusive Laboratory" hung on the door.
Inside the room, Himeko and Clara were assembling a one-man-tall mech.
Klee was working on a new type of bomb with vices, wrenches, and other tools. She had already made one earlier, but the effect was disappointing—there was no mushroom cloud.
Hook was tinkering with his own hole machine, swapping out parts. As for whether he was worried about getting back home? Not at all—wasn't Sister Himeko and Clara here?
Diona, on the other hand, was mixing all sorts of strange ingredients into test tubes. Each time she completed one, she would shove it toward Venti for tasting.
As for why she didn't deliver it herself? She was afraid Venti might fall over, and besides, he was allergic to cat hair.
Bai Lu was refining medicine, attempting to use high-tech equipment rather than the traditional Dan Ding Division's alchemy furnace.
Jing Yuan and Fu Xuan entered.
At a glance, they immediately spotted Bai Lu in the middle of refining a pill.
"Hey!!"
Bai Lu turned around upon hearing the call.
"General, are you looking for me?" she asked, pointing at herself.
Jing Yuan smiled and nodded, walking up to Bai Lu with Fu Xuan.
"What are you working on here?"
Bai Lu proudly showed her results.
"General, look—this is a golden wound medicine powder I refined using Clara's equipment. It works wonders for treating external injuries."
Fu Xuan picked up a packet of the powder, inspecting it closely.
"Bai Lu, have you confirmed its effects?"
Bai Lu nodded and pointed at a caged mouse nearby.
"I have! A normal knife wound heals in three seconds~ This formula was given to me by Yuri, though I can't remember which world he said it came from."
Bai Lu furrowed her brows, trying to recall. She turned to Diona.
"Diona, do you remember which world Yuri said my medicine book came from?"
On the table lay a thick medical tome, over ten centimeters thick, packed with pill formulas and prescriptions.
Diona thought for a moment before shrugging. "I forgot too. You'll have to ask Yuri later."
Bai Lu sighed. "Alright~ I guess that's that."
Fu Xuan's interest was piqued. "Bai Lu, can I take a look at your medical book?"
Bai Lu nodded. "Of course."
The two were quite familiar with each other. Bai Lu often sneaked over to the Taibu Division to play, and whenever she was chased by the Dan Ding Division's people, Fu Xuan covered for her. As a result, neither of them stood too much on formality.
Fu Xuan flipped open the book. The first page detailed the golden wound powder.
She frowned—she didn't recognize a single one of the ingredients listed.
As the Master Diviner, she had some knowledge of medicine and pills. But this? This was completely foreign.
Bai Lu, noticing her confusion, explained, "Almost none of the ingredients in this book exist in our world. Yuri bought all the ones I used for my experiments."
Klee chimed in. "That's right! Brother Yuri told me that I could go buy whatever materials I wanted. He even left 100,000 star coins with Sister Noelle for us to use."
Bai Lu nodded. "Exactly."
Fu Xuan skimmed a few more pages. While the golden wound medicine was valuable, the other prescriptions mostly dealt with minor ailments.
Bai Lu turned to Jing Yuan. "By the way, General, why are you here to see me?"
Jing Yuan was still processing the fact that Yuri had casually left 100,000 star coins for a bunch of kids to spend on materials.
Tsk. That's wealth. That's real wealth.
Fu Xuan, seeing Jing Yuan lost in thought, spoke up. "We obtained a pill formula. Can you see if you can refine it?"
She took the formula from Jing Yuan's hand and passed it to Bai Lu.
Bai Lu examined it carefully. After a moment, she nodded.
"This Clear Spirit Pill is actually pretty simple. Did you bring the medicinal ingredients? I can refine it right now."
Fu Xuan, overjoyed, immediately handed over ten medicinal ingredients.
Bai Lu took them and made a silencing gesture.
"Sister Fu Xuan, General, go downstairs and wait a bit. I'll call you when it's done."
Jing Yuan and Fu Xuan nodded in agreement and followed Pom to the first floor of the party carriage.
As they settled into their seats, Fu Xuan crossed her arms.
"General, you should explain this train to me, shouldn't you? You were here all day yesterday, weren't you?"
As for how she knew? Simple—Pom knew everything.
The ever-helpful Pom brought over a cup of tea.
"General Jing Yuan, this is the tea you said you liked yesterday. How does it taste?"
Jing Yuan scratched his head sheepishly and chuckled.
Pom, you traitor! Shut up!
If Fu Xuan found out he had been lazing around while she was drowning in work...
The consequences would be disastrous.
So, to shift the topic, he decided to tell Fu Xuan about Yuri's shop and the fact that Zhongli and the others were visitors from another world. It wasn't exactly a secret, after all.
Fu Xuan listened intently. "I see. I didn't expect this train to hold so many secrets. General, have you arranged for someone to collect Stellar Jade?"
At the mention of Stellar Jade, Jing Yuan's expression stiffened slightly.
"I've already had all of it collected."
Fu Xuan relaxed. "Good. How many star coins do we have now?"
Jing Yuan silently took out 30,000 star coins.
"That's all we've got."
Fu Xuan counted the coins, then looked at Jing Yuan suspiciously.
"General, something's not adding up. There's no way Luofu only has this much Stellar Jade. I saw plenty of treasure chests before."
Jing Yuan sighed. "It's not just that—I also bought the Clear Spirit Pill formula. That cost 150,000."
Fu Xuan nodded. "That was worth the purchase. If Bai Lu can refine it, the strength of our entire Xianzhou Alliance will increase."
There weren't many elite soldiers left, and many Xianzhou veterans had been worn down by years of war. As a result, they were rarely deployed outside of major conflicts.
But if Bai Lu successfully refined the Clear Spirit Pill, those battle-hardened veterans could return to the front lines, restoring their strength as a standing force.
Still, Fu Xuan furrowed her brows. "Even so, the math doesn't add up. General, where's the rest? Luofu's Stellar Jade couldn't have all been spent."
Jing Yuan struggled, but in the end, he chose to tell the truth.
"Fu Xuan, do you remember the incident from yesterday?"
Fu Xuan recalled. "Yes, I saw the document at the time. What about it? What does that have to do with this?"
Jing Yuan hesitated before continuing. "It's because Kevin opened a treasure chest at night and disturbed the residents. That's why they had to pay."
Fu Xuan's eyes widened. That meant these 180,000 star coins were essentially all the Stellar Jade left in Luofu?!
Fu Xuan was incredulous. "No way! I refuse to accept this! Our Stellar Jade reserves can't be this low!"
She turned abruptly. "I'm going to find Kevin and the others! They need to return that money!"
Jing Yuan quickly pulled her back. "Fu Xuan, the treasure chests were ownerless."
Fu Xuan stopped in her tracks and sighed. He was right. Treasure chests didn't belong to anyone. Whoever opened them, owned them.
Jing Yuan tried to console her. "Alright, Fu Xuan, let's think of other ways to earn Stellar Jade."
Fu Xuan had no choice but to let it go. The two sat at the bar next to Pom and began discussing possible solutions.
Fu Xuan suggested informing all the caravans to keep an eye out for Stellar Jade and bring it back if the price was reasonable. Jing Yuan thought it was a solid plan and decided to inform Yukong when he returned.
More than half an hour later, Bai Lu hurried down from the upper floor. She moved so fast that Jing Yuan instinctively rushed to the base of the stairs to catch her, worried she might trip.
"Be careful! Slow down on the stairs."
Bai Lu giggled. "Hehe, it's fine, General! I'm in great health!
General, I've refined the Clear Spirit Pill! Ten medicinal herbs yielded thirty pills. You can take them and find someone to test them."
Jing Yuan's face lit up as he took the medicine from Bai Lu. "Thank you, Dragon Maiden."
Bai Lu shook her head with a grin. "It's nothing~ If there's nothing else, I'm heading back up to play!"
Jing Yuan patted Bai Lu's head fondly. "Go ahead. We'll head back and find someone to test the medicine."
Fu Xuan, seeing that the Clear Spirit Pill had been successfully refined, finally felt relieved.
"Bai Lu, thank you for your hard work. We'll be leaving now."
Bai Lu waved cheerfully. "Goodbye, General! Goodbye, Sister Fu Xuan!"
Jing Yuan and Fu Xuan bid farewell and left the train, returning to the General's Mansion aboard the Xingcha.
In the afternoon.
Yuri emerged from his room after a long retreat and found Rios standing guard at the door. Yuri smiled.
"Thanks, Rios."
Rios shook his head. "It's nothing. How did it go?"
Yuri gave a thumbs-up. "Not bad. How's Klee?"
Rios replied, "Klee and the others are still in the lab. Xiangling and Captain Pom cooked for them at noon."
Yuri nodded in satisfaction. "Alright, I'll go see what they're up to."
He made his way to his store. As he approached the small bar, Venti stopped him.
"Yuri, the old man is looking for you."
Yuri raised an eyebrow. "Zhongli? What does he need?"
Venti shrugged. "No idea~ He's chatting with Mr. Welt in the reception room."
Yuri nodded. "Got it. Enjoy your drink."
Venti gave a carefree wave and went back to drinking.
Since the Dvalin incident, Venti had been spending most of his time either at Yuri's shop, Pom's bar, or Diluc's Angel's Gift. After the battle, the Abyss Order withdrew all forces from Mondstadt.
Why? Because Mondstadt had a one-man abyss-hunting machine—Diluc. He had been refining the Wind Spirit Technique for a while, and his strength had reached the level of a Demon God's dependent. Ordinary Abyss Apostles barely lasted a few moves against him, and Abyss Mages stood no chance.
Yuri stepped into the reception room. As soon as he entered, Topaz greeted him.
In the corner near the entrance, she had set up a small table with a computer on top.
"Hey ~ Yuri."
Yuri looked over. "Topaz, what are you doing here?"
Topaz sighed, placing an account book on the ground. "Office work. Ugh, I don't know why, but a bunch of treasure chests across the universe have disappeared out of thin air. It's making it harder for us to collect Stellar Jade."
Yuri smirked. "I have no idea about that. Don't rush, take your time. My store's always here."
Topaz chuckled and nodded.
Yuri glanced at the small workspace she had set up. "Made yourself a little office?"
Topaz nodded. "Yeah. It's quieter, so it's better for work."
Yuri thought about it. She had a point.
Kevin, Klee, and the others rarely entered the library or the reception room. The library was too quiet, and the reception room was spacious but had just the right amount of background noise for work.
"Alright," Yuri said, "I'll leave you to it."
Topaz nodded and got back to work.
Yuri walked further in and found Zhongli chatting with Welt.
He took a seat. "Zhongli, Venti said you were looking for me?"
Zhongli nodded. "That's right."
He explained everything about Asmodeus, and Yuri thought for a moment before offering two solutions.
"I've got two plans. Listen first."
Zhongli nodded. "Go ahead."
Yuri spoke slowly. "First, I do have a way to mend the False Heaven. We can just buy an Isolation Magic Array. It's not even that expensive—200,000 star coins.
Second, immigration. Have you considered buying a livable planet in this world? Or finding an unclaimed planet and terraforming it?"
Zhongli's eyes lit up. The idea of going for another planet aligned with his previous thoughts.

Indeed, instead of facing the Abyss every day, it would be better to relocate entirely. A clean break.
If they changed worlds altogether, the Abyss wouldn't be able to follow them.
Zhongli asked, "How many credits would it take to buy a habitable planet?"
Yuri turned to Welt. "Do you know?"
Welt shook his head. "Not my area of expertise."
Yuri thought for a moment before calling out. "Topaz! Topaz!"
From the office corner, Topaz poked her head out. "What's up, Yuri?"
Yuri asked with a bright smile,
"Does your company sell habitable planets?"
