I opened a shop on the Astral Train-Chapter 91
Chapter 91 - 91
Chapter 91
Silver Wolf pulled a small table over.
"Come on, come on! Those who need identity registration, line up here. You won't be scammed, and you won't lose money—just 100 star coins! Think of it as an investment!"
Seeing this, Kiana took out 100 star coins and slapped them onto the small table in front of Silver Wolf.
"Give me one! I want to go down and play!"
Silver Wolf grinned, happily pocketing the money.
"Alright, hold on a second. Look at the camera—click!"
A minute later, Kiana's identity was processed.
"Next!"
Seeing this, Zhongli instructed everyone from Liyue to line up for their identity cards. Not long after, Venti arrived with the citizens of Mondstadt. Upon hearing they needed identity registration, they, too, joined the queue.
Silver Wolf was beyond thrilled.
"Today is a good day. The beautiful star coins are rolling in~!"
Meanwhile, Himeko called Kevin and March 7th.
"Let's go check in first."
Just then, Kevin's phone rang.
"Kevin, where are you? Let's go play!" Kiana's voice chirped through the speaker.
Kevin was surprised.
"Kiana? Weren't you bringing your friends over?"
"Yeah~ Auntie and Mei said they'd come tomorrow. They're gathering special minerals to exchange for star coins."
After getting her ID card, Kiana had returned to St. Freya Academy, where she placed the store portal Yuri had given her in her living room. She told Theresa and the others they could now visit the store. Theresa, along with Bronya, Himeko, and Mei, decided to collect minerals to see if they could be exchanged for star coins.
Kiana tried to help but ended up making a mess of the sorted ores. Frustrated, Theresa sent her away—to find Kevin.
And so, she called.
Kevin sighed.
"Wait at the train station. I'll come get you."
He hung up.
"Himeko, March, I'm going back for Kiana. She'd definitely get lost."
March 7th perked up.
"I'll go too!"
Himeko nodded.
"Alright. I'll check in first, but hurry back."
Himeko and March 7th got off at the next stop and took a bus back to the train station.
An hour later, the three of them arrived at the hotel lobby.
Along the way, they underwent countless security inspections. Kiana nervously gripped her ID, fearing it would be exposed as fake.
Luckily, Silver Wolf's craftsmanship was impeccable, and no one noticed a thing.
When they reached the lobby, they saw Himeko and Welt negotiating with the hotel staff.
Kevin approached.
"Himeko, what's going on?"
Himeko sighed.
"We left Dan Heng's name on the reservation but forgot to update it. Now, we're trying to fix it."
Kevin frowned.
"What do we do now?"
The staff shook their head.
"We must ensure all registered guests match their identities."
Before Himeko could argue, a man dressed in opulent clothes, red sunglasses perched on his nose, and a string of codes around his neck, stepped forward.
Himeko turned to him.
"And who might you be?"
The man smiled.
"My name is Otto Apocalypse, from the company's strategic investment department."
Of course, I am also a guest who waited for more than ten minutes behind you."
Kevin heard this.
"You are also in the Strategic Investment Department? Do you know Jade and Topaz?"
Otto smiled.
"Of course I know them. They are my precious colleagues."
Kevin rubbed his hands.
"Hey, if I'm friends with them, then we're friends too, right?"
Otto raised an eyebrow.
"Friend? I like that word."
Kevin continued.
"Since we're friends, how about doing me a favor?"
Otto immediately understood what Kevin meant.
"My friend, you may not know that the Company and the Family are mortal enemies, right?"
Kevin was a little surprised.
"Ah? Is that so? Well, I won't bother you anymore. We'll find a solution ourselves."
As he turned to leave, Otto suddenly spoke.
"But there is a solution."
Kevin instantly turned back, winking.
"My friend, you deserve to be a director. Your way of doing things is unmatched."
Otto smiled.
"It's not impossible to help. The train crew is currently aligned with my camp. Isn't Topaz stationed on the train?"
"Alright, for Topaz and Jade's sake, I'll do you this favor."
Otto turned to the hotel staff.
"Miss, you heard our conversation just now. Please help them check in. I have an appointment with Mr. Sunday of the Family. Don't worry, nothing will happen. These are honest and nameless guests."
The staff, however, still refused, insisting on their responsibilities.
At that moment, a brother and sister approached.
"Ellie, Penacony is a place of beautiful dreams. How can we let our guests sleep with troubles? I will handle this matter. You can attend to other duties."
Otto turned to the newcomers.
"Oh, just as I said. Isn't this Sunday, the most handsome man in Penacony, and Miss Robin, the world-famous singer?"
Robin chuckled, covering her mouth.
"Brother, he said you are the most handsome man in Penacony."
Sunday smiled.
"Robin, please take the guests to rest for a while. I have something important to discuss with this gentleman."
Robin nodded and led Himeko, Kevin, and the others to a nearby booth.
March 7th's eyes lit up in excitement.
"Are you Miss Mockingbird? I love your songs—especially 'The Song That Keeps a Heart from Sorrow.'"
"I'M A HUGE FAN CAN I HAVE AN AUTOGRAPH PLEASE" Kevin yelled out enthusiastically.
Robin chuckled sweetly.
"I didn't expect Miss March 7th to be my fan! Nor did I expect such a big fan out of you Mr.Kevin!"
March 7th and Kevin practically bounced in place.
"Can we take a picture together?"
Robin immediately agreed.
"Of course."
March 7th and Kevin cheered.
"Great! Himeko could you take the picture!"
"No problem." Himeko immediately agreed.
Shortly after, Sunday returned.
"Friends of the train crew, the dreaming arrangements have been settled. I wish you all a wonderful time."
He then turned to Robin.
"Mockingbird, we should head back."
Robin smiled and waved.
"Have fun. Bye-bye."
Once they were gone, Welt caught Kevin, March 7th, and Kiana.
This time, there were no more issues, and the group successfully checked in. Since Kiana joined later, she was assigned to Kevin's room.
Himeko clapped her hands.
"Alright, let's go put our luggage away."
Kevin, March 7th, and Kiana cheered and dashed off to their room, while Himeko and Welt followed at a more relaxed pace.
On the way to the VIP lounge, the three treasure hunters kept their eyes peeled for more treasure chests. Incredibly, they found several ordinary ones, each of them collecting 20 Stellar Jades.
Kevin and Kiana entered their room—only to find Otto already there.
Kevin blinked.
"Hey, friend, we meet again so soon."
Kiana mimicked him, putting her hands on her hips.
"Hey, friend, we meet again so soon."
Otto chuckled.
"Yes, nice to meet you again so soon, my two friends."
Kevin frowned.
"What are you doing in my room?"
Otto shrugged.
"This room was mine half a system ago."
Kevin suddenly understood.
"You mean you gave me this room?"
Otto nodded.
"That's right. Otherwise, do you think the Family would be so generous as to provide you with a VIP room?"
Kiana tilted her head.
"You really don't like the Family, huh?"
Otto shook his head.
"Not personally, no. But the faction I belong to considers them a sworn enemy."
He then turned to Kevin.
"My friend, I did you a favor. Now, you should do me one."
Kevin crossed his arms.
"Tell me what you need first."
Otto leaned back.
"I want to investigate what the Family is up to. I'd like to share that information with you."
Kevin raised an eyebrow.
"Why come to me? Go find Himeko. Also, since you gave me this room, I think you've forgotten something important."
Otto tilted his head.
"Forgot something?"
Kevin grinned and pulled out Stellar Jades.
"You do know how useful Stellar Jades are, right?"
Otto nodded.
"Of course. And?"
Kevin smirked.
"Then you should've noticed—Penacony is full of treasure chests. Instead of obsessing over the Family, wouldn't it be better to spend time opening them? Yuri once said, if you're strong enough, no scheme or conspiracy matters."
Otto took a deep breath.
Kevin had a point.
Yes! What a great opportunity to collect Stellar Jades!
As for the mission? No rush. Completing it would bring profits to the Company anyway. A bit of credit could always go to the Strategic Investment Department later.
