I Picked the Useless Class… Turns Out It's the Most Broken in the Game-Chapter 64: A Boy?
Both of them remained silent. Even Cain didn’t dare to utter even a single word.
The time passed as the room remained silent, but then Vandelion finally broke the silence.
His head moved towards Cain, scanning him completely. "What’s your name, human child?" He said, his voice was old but deep.
Cain’s voice came instantly, but a bit shaky. "I-I’m Cain..." He said.
A small, amused smirk appeared on Vandelion’s face. "Hmm.... for how long did you eavesdrop on us?"
His hand raised as he scratched his chin. "Your answer will determine if I’ll let you live or not." He said.
Cain gulped, body started to tremble once again.
He tried to speak, but his voice didn’t seem to come out.
He gathered all of his courage as he muttered. "I-I didn’t hear anything..."
Vandelion took one step forward, and aura waves started to erupt through his body once again.
Cain’s body got pressed under the pressure of it.
His teeth gritted as a thought curled up in his mind. ’It’s too much for me...’
The small smithy started to tremble as the pressure of his aura spread outward. The ground beneath their feet started to quake, as if an earthquake had erupted inside the room.
Rakar’s voice came low, but it carried authority in it. "Stop it. You’re ruining the things inside my small smithy."
The aura that was flowing suddenly stopped, and trembling objects calmed.
"I didn’t want the information to leak; that’s why I did that," Vandelion said, crossing his arms.
Looked at Rokar through the side of his eye. "And I didn’t realise that you had taken quite a liking towards humans?"
"I don’t like you, nor that human child."
"I’m just worried about my smithy, nothing else," Rokar said as he kept hammering the sword.
Vandelion sighed and then shifted his gaze back at Cain.
His lips parted as if he was about to talk, but before he could—
Cain’s body started to get covered by a shiny light, and the moment the light disappeared, Cain wasn’t standing there anymore.
The hammering stopped as Rokar lifted his gaze towards the place Cain stood.
Vandelion quickly grabbed a scrap sword and took his stance.
His eyes scanned the room completely. "There seems to be no one here... but that kid? How did he teleport?"
He finally lowered his guard and sighed.
Amon’s voice came out low as he brushed his hand through his hair. "You said that you had to leave, right?"
"Then, don’t waste time... reach the main branch safely and don’t take Max’s words to your heart." He said as he walked towards the room where documents were kept.
Leon gave a small nod as his gaze shifted towards Synthia, who was standing beside him.
"Let’s go and pack our stuff now, senior."
"We have to leave for the main branch in a while." He said and walked towards the male dorms.
The moment he reached there, he noticed that his stuff was already packed.
He grabbed the backpack, opened it, and checked his stuff. None of it was missing.
’Huh? Who did this?’
’It’s not important, at least I saved some time.’
He tucked the backpack on his shoulder and moved towards the main gate.
He noticed that only Synthia was standing there, and there were no signs about Amon and Max.
’As expected of mages, they didn’t even come to see us off.’ 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
A smirk appeared on Synthia’s face as she lifted her heels a little. "You’re late today, Junior."
Leon shook his head slightly. "You just came a bit early, not my fault."
"Now, shall we move?" He asked.
She gave a small nod as she turned around and started moving.
Both of them left the tower and entered the streets.
Walking at the normal pace, looking at their surroundings.
The city was still full of people, noises of people talking were coming from all four directions.
Freedom posters were still stuck all over the place.
"What’s all this, junior?"
"These people weren’t this happy before, and what about this freedom thing?" She asked, eyes moving from people to posters.
"I think senior Amon didn’t tell you about this."
He took a small pause and then continued. "This city was under the command of the Mayor of the third city, Stoneheart."
"The knight faction of this city recently defeated the knights of that city, and took the freedom of their people." He said.
"You participated, too, right?" She asked, looking at Leon’s face.
Leon gave a small nod. "Yes, senior."
"I did take part in this war."
"Then, you should have told me too. I would have joined alongside you, as a reliable senior, I should do this much for my junior, right?" She said, her tone was quite proud.
A small chuckle escaped through Leon’s mouth as he muttered. "No, no senior."
"Do you think I can’t do this much? And do you think I would trouble you for something this cheap?" He said.
She pouted slightly, crossed her arms. "Yeah, yeah."
A thought curled up in the mind of Leon.
’I can’t reveal the information about undead and dark mana to her.’
Both of them kept walking. Synthia was doing her usual chit-chat with Leon.
But, suddenly, a bright colored light appeared in front of their eyes.
Both of them stopped as they looked at it, as they took their stance.
The moment the bright light disappeared, they noticed that a young boy was on the ground.
That boy looked towards himself in confusion, and then his gaze fell on Leon as he said. "W-Where am I?"
His whole body was drenched in sweat, fingers were trembling slightly.
Leon scanned the boy from top to bottom as he said. "You’re in the second city, Ashenveil."
That boy’s hand raised as he grabbed his hair and pulled it tightly.
A loud groan escaped through his mouth. "UGHH!!!! It can’t be true."
