I Reborn as a God Within a Statue, And You Ask Me to Enslave All Gods?-Chapter 102 --The Devotee Requirement
Chapter 102: Chapter102-The Devotee Requirement
"The town’s population is already sufficient—but not all of them are my devotees yet..."
In other words, as long as Owen could convert everyone in the town into believers, the task would be easily completed!
With that in mind, Owen immediately opened the devotee interface and began to browse through the data.
[Daily Spice Point Income]: 58,826[S-rank Devotees]: 0 (Each provides 100,000 spice points/day)[A-rank Devotees]: 0 (Each provides 10,000 spice points/day)[B-rank Devotees]: 1 (Each provides 1,000 spice points/day)[C-rank Devotees]: 19 (Each provides 100 spice points/day)[D-rank Devotees]: 4,250 (Each provides 10 spice points/day)[E-rank Devotees]: 13,272 (Each provides 1 spice point/day)[F-rank Devotees]: 1,540 (Each provides 1 spice point every ten days)
"The total number of devotees has reached 19,082—just a bit more to go before hitting the 20,000 mark!"
Owen did a quick calculation in his mind, and a broad smile spread across his face.
At the beginning, each new devotee brought him immense joy. But now—after just a short time—he had nearly nineteen thousand!
They now made up nearly the entire village population.
He had to admit—Thomas, his missionary, had done an excellent job.
To get people to convert in such a short period of time was no small feat. It surely had taken considerable effort.
At the same time, Owen understood that much of the momentum came from the public spectacle caused by granting two individuals the title of Vassal God.
After all, turning someone into an awakener might be incredible, but not unimaginable—given enough resources and proper methods, anyone might achieve that.
But becoming a god?
That was beyond belief. An absolute shock to the people.
Thanks to Thomas and the others fueling this excitement, more and more had chosen to believe.
Especially those within the town who had witnessed everything firsthand—their devotion to Deus Initium had reached fanatical levels.
As for the ones who had yet to become his devotees, they were all young children under five who hadn’t yet developed a concept of belief.
So, effectively, every conscious and aware person in town was already his devotee!
With so many believers offering prayers and sacrifices every day, Owen’s daily income in divine points had skyrocketed—reaching a staggering 58 divine points per day!
That was over 1,700 divine points per month!
If other gods knew, their jaws would hit the floor!
At this stage, many gods were still nameless gods, suffering from extremely slow progress.
Their daily spice point income was practically negligible.
Even most gods who had advanced to the 1-star Ancient Godhood rank only received around 3 to 4 divine points per day.
All of them were in the single digits—far less than Owen’s current surplus.
Even if those gods didn’t spend any divine points, it would take them 8 to 9 months to reach 1-star peak Ancient God.
But realistically, no god could go that long without spending divine points.
Villages could be attacked by spellbeasts, supplies needed purchasing, god skills needed to be cast to help villages develop, or to assist awakeners in leveling up.
All of that required divine points—often in large amounts.
So in truth, very few gods were able to accumulate divine points at all.
"Now that I’m this close to completing the Stage 12 mission, I’ll have them plan a brief campaign—take out a wave of spellbeasts near Black Iron, spread the word... and that should push the number of devotees over the threshold!"
In this chaotic world, when others saw how Annasi, led by Thomas, had been upgraded into a thriving town, many would grow curious—and many would choose to believe.
Completing Stage 12 was already practically guaranteed—so Owen wasn’t in a hurry.
His attention then shifted toward Annasi Town.
As the town continued to expand, residential areas were starting to sprawl chaotically.
The closer one got to the temple, the higher the land and housing prices soared. People from all nearby villages were crowding in, creating disorder and confusion.
As the ruler of this territory, Owen would not tolerate such chaos.
Now that he had become a 2-star Ancient God, he had access to four Vassal God slots.
This meant the village layout had to be strategic, allowing each Vassal God to carry out their responsibilities while covering the entire area efficiently.
"So, let’s temporarily take Annasi Town as the center, and build four outer zones on its borders. When the town upgrades to a county, each of those zones can be turned into a township.
That’ll reduce overpopulation and leave room for future growth."
After careful consideration, Owen made his decision.
With 20,000 people already in town, it was feeling cramped and chaotic—unsuitable for sustainable development.
"We’ll leave it at that for now. After the first ritual festival next year, I’ll have them begin construction. By then, there will be even more awakeners in town—it’ll give them something to do."
Most awakeners had incredible physical strength, so building infrastructure was no issue.
As for how to fill the outer zones with population, Owen already had a plan.
He would gradually relocate new residents to those areas, offering them incentives and benefits if they agreed to move voluntarily.
"The only shame is... after all this time, I still only have one B-rank devotee—Tommy. I haven’t even seen the shadow of a second B-rank."
This left him a little frustrated. Without a second B-rank devotee, granting a new Vassal God position would still cost the full 200 Order Fragments—with no discount at all.
As for people like James, who had innate belief, Owen hadn’t encountered any more of them.
Even Thomas, though highly devoted, didn’t carry enough original faith to qualify—it mostly came from killing spellbeasts, which couldn’t offset the order cost.
Most importantly, Thomas was doing an excellent job as a missionary, and Owen valued him highly.
He had no plans to make Thomas a Vassal God—at least not yet.
While Vassal Gods were important, the role of missionary—the one who spreads the god’s faith—was just as vital!
"This looks like a promising region."
A golden-armored man, led by a black wolf, arrived at the edge of Owen’s territory, near a mountain valley.
The moment he stepped in, he sensed an intense concentration of spellbeast energy.
There were a lot of them here—and by questioning them, he might uncover some information about Fox.
However, as he drew closer to the mouth of the valley, a chilling aura of slaughter swept over him.
Startled by the sudden wave of murderous energy, the golden-armored man’s eyes narrowed.
Within the valley, cold winds howled. Amid the mournful breeze, he could hear the wailing of countless spellbeasts!
It seemed that many had once gathered here...
But for some unknown reason, they had all died!
"What happened here?"
The golden-armored man sensed something was off.
Just as he was about to charge in at full speed, he suddenly felt a powerful aura approaching from the distance.
"Tier-6 spellbeast?!"
Sensing the overwhelming pressure emanating from it, the golden-armored man’s expression turned grim.
"There are a lot of spellbeasts here, yes—but the balance of power wasn’t that extreme before.
Why would a tier-6 beast show up and disrupt it?"
He watched the terrifying aura from afar. As the energy surged through the sky, black clouds blotted out the sun.
These clouds were filled with spellbeasts—many of them radiating terrifying power. Several of them had even reached tier-6 beginner levels!
At the edges of these clouds, even the weaker auras were still tier-5 strength.
It was clear: the spellbeasts gathered here were all major players.
"These spellbeasts are all top predators in their regions—they don’t usually work together.
Why do they all look so tense?
Are they... planning to devour Black Iron?"
The golden-armored man, a seasoned traveler, had seen much in the world. He couldn’t help but speak with curiosity.
"If that’s really their goal...
Then maybe I can follow them—and snatch some treasures in the chaos!"
