I Reincarnated as the World's Worst Healer-Chapter 69: Broken Healing vs Grand Freeze (1)
Inside the hollow mountain, in the middle of the citadel, Marcus stepped into the town square and, with a shout, called out to all the Frost Goblins.
"Listen up, you half-breed vermin! The girl who guaranteed our future has escaped. We need to find her. For that, every single one of you, arm yourselves right now."
The entire citadel filled with the shouts and laughter of the goblins within; one by one they began equipping rusted armor and oxidized swords.
However, at that moment, from the entrance buried in rubble of the passage leading outside the mountain, a noise began to echo.
The goblins froze as the sound grew louder. Marcus, watching from the square, tried to sharpen his gaze, but the rumbling suddenly stopped.
Then, without warning, gigantic roots burst out from the cave, hurling the debris that blocked the entrance high into the air.
At that moment, Marcus, with an enraged expression, touched the bandages covering the absence of his right hand as he watched Ebony’s group emerge from the cave, riding atop a massive root that advanced violently.
"Listen! You two go for the goblins, clear space in the square. I’ll follow after and we’ll use the sack. Don’t let it get damaged, we need it intact. Now go!"
Ebony shouted to her companions as she adjusted the straps of her massive shield.
Lucian stepped forward, the blonde’s magic staff fastened to his belt, its magic stone glowing intensely, while he adjusted the backpack he had been tasked to protect.
Meanwhile, Daniel, carrying the sack filled with Fire Crystal powder tied to his back, leapt down and sprinted toward the center of the citadel with his twin axes in hand.
The goblins, thrilled by the close-quarters fight, rushed at Daniel with their clubs and poorly forged swords.
"I hope you know what you’re doing," Lucian said before launching dozens of arrows into the sky; one after another they began falling to the ground, each carrying a spell.

As they struck the earth, magic circles flared everywhere, and massive roots erupted from the ground, piercing some attackers through the torso and violently entangling others.
Daniel, with a confident grin, began weaving between the enormous roots, as thick as oak trunks.
Suddenly, one root split in half and a fist burst from within, it was Marcus, the leader of the citadel, who, not knowing their plan, was certain he had to bury them before they could execute it.
Before his punch could connect with Daniel’s face, a massive shield intercepted it, absorbing the impact.
"No, no, no. You, my friend, are against me," Ebony said from behind the towering shield that dwarfed her height.
Taking advantage of the moment, Daniel tried to push forward, but three goblins appeared in front of him and, with wicked smiles, transformed into Yetis instantly.
Marcus decided to leave the rest to his units; he preferred to deal with the grand prize himself, the girl he intended to sell to the Demon King had arrived without him even needing to hunt her down.
"I’m glad you came back. It’s always nice when prey walks into the frying pan on its own," the old man said as he stepped back slightly, examining the shield to calculate how much force he needed to break it without killing its bearer.
"Well, I guess an old man like you can’t go out hunting on his own anymore, those knees must be heavy," the blonde replied mockingly, peeking around the edge of the shield with a crooked smile.
Marcus frowned and began charging his fist with freezing magic, ready to shatter her defense. At that moment, Lucian vaulted over Ebony and fired an arrow from his bow.
Having seen the power of his spells before, Marcus dodged the arrow and moved away from the impact point. But contrary to what he expected, that arrow carried nothing; unlike the inactive arrow he had approached earlier without caution.
A massive root burst from the ground and tried to bind him, but he immediately froze it using his frost magic.
"You’d better hurry up!" Lucian shouted as he sprinted forward, drawing his silver sword to aid his friend, who couldn’t break past the Yetis trying to tear him apart.
Ebony didn’t waste the brief distraction and charged with her shield, ready to unleash her lightning magic in a direct assault.

But it was too late, the old man had broken free from the wooden bindings and countered with a strike, their attacks colliding.

The techniques clashed, unleashing such dense and violent magic that frost spread across the ground on one side, freezing it solid, while thunder magic cracked the earth with lightning on the other.
Lucian glanced sideways as the compressed air blast hit him; it was so intense that even the goblins stopped attacking in shock. They didn’t see every day a slender girl withstand a C-rank technique.
But Daniel, unlike the others, seized the moment, severing the heads of his massive enemies before continuing forward.
"Don’t stop, idiot! Move!" Daniel shouted as he pushed along the dirt path. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Lucian, with a worried expression, tore his eyes from the blonde and followed his friend, as more goblins began pouring in from all directions.
From the corner of her eye, Ebony saw her companions advancing while she struggled to endure the surge of magic. With a smile, she accepted her disadvantage and, taking a breath, released the shield.
Marcus felt the resistance give way, and from the side the blonde appeared. She sacrificed her shield, which split in two instantly, allowing her to close the distance and, with all her strength, deliver a brutal kick to his groin.
"Bitch! AHHHH!" Marcus screamed as he dropped to his knees, fighting back the urge to vomit from the pain.
"Not sorry, old man. This is personal, you fucking traitor!" Ebony said with a mocking grin.
At that moment, more Frost Goblins began rushing toward them, so she bolted, chasing after her friends.
"Go kill that bitch! To hell with the Demon King! That bitch dies right here!" Marcus shouted, dazed with pain and his voice cracking.
Ebony reached the central plaza. There, her friends were fighting smaller, low-level goblins incapable of transforming.
"Quick, idiots, your cargo!" Ebony shouted, and instantly her companions, smiling in relief at seeing her unharmed, threw the sack, the backpack, and the staff at her feet.
Ebony then pierced the sack with the staff like a spear and, with a satisfied smile, pulled the Dark Elf’s head from her backpack and said calmly.
"Heal"
