On the second day, one day after Misty gave Jake the two-day ultimatum, Jake had already finalized his deal with Zunda. The scientific research budget had officially been added to the national budget.

Zunda was glowing with joy as she surveyed the work sites alongside Jake. To her, it felt like a long-awaited dream finally coming true, being able to pursue her passion without judgment or mockery. Meanwhile, on the rooftop of a tall building nearby, Zamira and Jill lay flat, hidden from sight. Zamira was holding a telescope, peering through it before passing it to Jill. She, too, aimed it at the work site where Edgar's ship had landed.

"Something's definitely going on between them," Zamira muttered, snatching the telescope back to take another peek. "They even held hands the other day."

"Zamira, you're just overthinking things," Jill said calmly. "I doubt there's anything going on. Jake's probably just working with her on science stuff. I even heard scientific research was added to the national budget."

"Bullshit," Zamira snapped, sitting up abruptly. "I'm going down there to confront them."

"Whoa, what are you doing?" Jill grabbed her wrist and pulled her back down. "Don't cause a scene. Even if something's going on, the truth always comes out eventually."

Zamira gritted her teeth and hissed, "Why the hell can't he just keep his dick in his pants?"

Back at the worksite, Jake suddenly paused. He sensed something… someone watching. He turned toward the direction of the presence and quietly channeled his aura there.

But after a few moments, the sensation vanished.

Whoever it was—was gone.

'That person's good—to be able to slip past my aura like that,' Jake mused, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the area but found no trace of whoever had been spying.

"Zunda," he called out suddenly.

"Yes?" she replied, glancing up at him.

"Let's go somewhere."

Without warning, Jake wrapped an arm around her waist, lifting her off the ground as he soared into the sky.

They flew far from the kingdom, away from prying eyes and familiar territory, before landing quietly on the side of a smooth, tiled highway. Cars passed by, their lights streaking across the open road, but otherwise, the area was empty.

"W-What are we doing here?" Zunda asked, her voice shaky with unease.

Jake chuckled at her nervous reaction. Of course, she wasn't the battle-hardened type like Zamira or even Jill. She could hold her own in a fight, sure but she wasn't leveling cities like Zamira and Jill.

"I want you to take off your jewelry—necklace, earrings, all of it," Jake said, gently helping her with the pieces. "We're going on a date. I don't want thieves targeting you with all that expensive-looking stuff."

Zunda complied, then reached over and tousled Jake's hair, making it a little messy to disguise his identity too.

"B-But you said a date," she stammered, cheeks turning red. "I've never been on one before… I've only heard about them. So... what kind of date are we going on?"

"A movie date," Jake answered, and without giving her time to process, he picked her up again and launched into the air.

Within minutes, they arrived at a large city, one bigger than Glelloomes, but with a smaller population. It was perfect. Less chance of running into anyone they knew.

Jake bought two tickets and they headed into the theater. The room was half-filled, scattered with people. They grabbed some snacks—popcorn, blood candies, and a few drinks—before settling into their seats. The movie began shortly after.

It was a horror flick about a vampire-hunting cannibal. It was grim, grotesque, and oddly captivating.

Midway through the movie, Zunda leaned closer to Jake. Her body brushed up against his. Her eyes shimmered in the dim light of the screen.

'I never thought I'd get to experience something this simple… yet this fun,' she thought, blushing faintly. 'This man…'

Jake, immersed in the movie, suddenly jolted slightly as he felt something cold slip into his pants. He looked down—Zunda was giving him a sultry stare, her hand wrapped around his shaft.
