Chapter 553 - 553 Invincible: The Suspicion of Cecil, Angering The Monkey King, The End of Titan? and The Man Who Hates Invincible Powerplex.

The sky began to recover slowly as the night turned to day. To ordinary people, this phenomenon was inexplicable—terrifying yet beautiful. Considering the kinds of madness that happen in this world, like alien invasions, giant kaiju emerging from the sea, or ancient creatures rising from sarcophagi, this, regardless of its origin, didn't seem so unacceptable. However, some suspected the cause, among them Cecil, who immediately called Allen.

"Walker, do you know what happened?" said Cecil with a grave and raspy tone, as if he already knew the answer but refused to accept it.

"You mean why the day turned into the night? I don't know, maybe some alien did it. That happens a lot..." Allen replied, returning to his carefree, mocking attitude. He was hard to read when he acted like this, as it was impossible to tell if he was lying or joking. He was like a jester, taking nothing seriously.

"Walker, stop messing around. You know that you're the first person I'd suspect..."

"Hey, that offends me and hurts my feelings, Cecil! What reasons have I given you to distrust me?~"

"Well, for starters... you stole two moons from Jupiter and placed them behind the original moon, trying to cover up that the real one was damaged!"

"I only pierced the moon a little, Cecil. You don't have to be so melodramatic. Also, one of those moons was from Saturn..."

"...You know what, never mind. Just try not to destroy the world."

"Cecil, I'm not an apocalypse or something like that. Don't worry, I know how to control myself..."

"Sure..."

"Haha..." Allen hung up the call. "Ok, it was interesting, but we should get this over with..."

His expression lost the mocking tone and turned serious as he stared at the ceiling. However, before leaving, he noticed an object floating beside him.

[Dragon Staff *Green*]

– Parameters: Abnormal

– Unique Feature: Absurd Durability

– Unique Feature: Weighs a Ton

– "You're probably thinking of 'that' Monkey King staff, but it's not. It's just a staff that's strangely similar, with strangely similar features... yeah, it's like a knockoff~"

*[Definitely not that staff, so don't worry!]

Kimiko – It's a relief. The Monkey King would get mad if his staff was only green.

Rías – Monkey King? Ah... "That" There's a Sun Wukong in our world, but he's a descendant of the original...

Akeno – Actually, many mythological figures in our world might disappoint most, like that old pervert Odin.

Thor – What?! What did you just say about my father?!

Rick – Calm down, son of the hair conditioner. They're not talking about your Odin *Burp*

...

Allen looked at the iron staff. Anyone who saw it would say it's the Ru Yi Bang. However, one must remember that the original weighs eight tons(17,6k Lbs), not one, and although it was made of iron, it was said to be as hard as diamond. The main characteristic it lacked was that if it were the original, it wouldn't be green, not even close—at least purple, even crimson...

Allen shrugged, spun the staff slowly to get used to the weight, then spun it quickly. Out of nowhere, he aimed it at a distant building and made it extend, piercing through the building. However, it didn't break anything; it entered through one window and exited through another, only knocking over a mug that said "World's Best Boss."

Kratos – That was definitely on purpose...

Thor – Hahaha, I'd bet my hammer on it!

Barbara – Don't tell me that was a hint, Allen? Haha

"No, no. I'm just eliminating more of the world's lies."

Allen placed the staff on his shoulder and walked toward the elevator...

...

Titan slammed the table, as sweat dripped from his face. "How is that even possible?"

He lived in a world full of superheroes and villains, but no matter how strong they were, he had never seen anyone as powerful as Allen.

"What is he playing at?! Why did he even come?!"

Everything felt surreal. To his eyes, Allen was someone who shouldn't be bothered by something as insignificant as criminals like them, but there he was, wasting time dealing with his men.

"Ahhhhg!"

Mr. Liu's real body twisted, and blood poured out from all over him. Isotope examined him and exclaimed in disbelief. Mr. Liu was practically immortal in his dragon form because his real body couldn't be harmed no matter how much it hurt his dragon body, but now it seemed to be taking heavy damage.

"Interesting... I would need a spiritual, magical, chi-based, or even cursed energy attack... but because his soul was scattered in many directions, and to such great distances, this caused him harm, even though it was a physical attack."

Titan looked toward the door as it opened and Allen casually walked in with the Dragon Staff on his shoulder.

"Walker..." Titan murmured with regret. If he were Invincible, he'd be sure he could talk things out, but not with Allen. He was too unpredictable for Titan. Allen could either strike him directly or disguise him as a mascot and make him run through the street.

"AHH!!"

Isotope, having Allen nearby, remembered that trauma he'd forgotten—the time when Allen, performing like the T-1000, relentlessly chased him and, when he caught him, stripped him of his power.

"Hi, Isotope Haha..."

"NO!"

"Allen Walker, what's your goal?" Titan didn't give up. He wanted to know why Allen had come. If there was even the slightest chance of resolving this without confronting him, it would be best. After all, Titan still had a card up his sleeve—the fact that Allen hadn't captured him yet.

Allen smiled at the underworld lord, who was getting chills just from the look on his face.

"Oh? What makes you think I have a goal? Maybe I just came in because I felt like it~"

Titan went pale, and sweat poured in large quantities from his forehead. Allen's words weren't a joke. Knowing his personality, it was very possible he'd just wake up one day and decide to destroy Titan. No, an even more terrifying thought crossed Titan's mind—perhaps the reason Allen hadn't come after him until now wasn't because he considered him a necessary evil, but because he simply hadn't felt like it.

Allen relaxed his face. "Hah, relax, kiddo. I'm not that capricious... not this time."

Allen walked up to Liu, and upon seeing him in that state, he clicked his tongue. His soul had dispersed so much that it was hard to tell if he'd ever regained consciousness. In that sense, there was no point in warning him that Multi-Paul wasn't on the menu anymore.

"Now... underworld lord of Chicago..." Allen's gaze shifted to Titan, "It's true you're not my target, but I have no reason to let you go..."

"Mr. Walker, if you give me the chance, I can prove that I'm more valuable here than dead..."

"..."

Allen's gaze was impassive, making Titan tremble while his gaze wavered. He didn't have the confidence to use fallacies to convince Allen.

Allen smirked, "Don't look at me like that. I'm not a spoiled boy..."

Titan and Isotope both opened their eyes in shock. The two men were speechless at the sudden change in Allen's attitude.

"Heroes look at the world through a filter of justice, goodness, and duty... villains through one of selfishness, evil, or even cruelty... but I'm neither of those. My job is to look at everything in gray—both the good and the bad—evaluate, and decide based on that..."

Titan calmed his breathing, sensing there might be an opportunity, but before he could speak, Allen pointed the staff at him.

"Titan, fight..."

"Huh?"

"BUT honestly, it's a hassle to put you through trial. You're a criminal, but you also do good. You've attacked a prison more than once at the risk of releasing murderers and supervillains, but the villains you hire have reduced their attacks on civilians to practically zero."

"Mr. Walker, then why?"

"I don't know. I could say that your plan to use Invincible to overthrow Machine Head annoyed me, but the truth is, I don't care... The real reason is that I want to test this staff."

Titan almost fell over. Had he ever seen a man so inconsistent with his actions? It was like talking to two different people at the same time—a selfish, trolling bastard and a carefree, lazy jerk.

"Don't make that pale face. You might have a chance now that the vault is closed..."

[Allen Walker, Physical Level: 36]

Allen's system was struggling to be useful, and while Allen might feel that some things it created were more unnecessary than helpful, he didn't plan to discard them after a single use. Maybe he'd get used to them or even fall in love with some new feature of the system. For now, Allen had gained over thirty physical power levels by defeating the dragon. This power was insignificant compared to his real physical strength, but it was a new power that could be added to his hidden abilities and should not be dismissed.

With that in mind, Allen smiled as he held his staff. He was thinking of fighting solely with the power from the new Leveling System.

Titan watched Allen. There was still a sense of pressure, but it was no longer as overwhelming as before. He didn't question Allen, knowing it would be pointless. He removed his suit and tie and covered his body with granite.

Allen laughed. "Grow..."

Titan's eyes widened as the tip of the staff hit his chest, forcing him back. He crashed through several walls.

"Ah!"

With a shout, Titan planted his feet on the ground, stopping the staff's push. Allen whistled, surprised, and shrank the staff. Titan grabbed a chunk of the wall and threw it at Allen, who used the staff to split it in half. Titan grabbed more debris and threw it at Allen.

He destroyed each piece one by one with little effort. At that moment, Titan realized that although Allen was strong, he no longer seemed like an unimaginable monster. Gaining some courage, he charged at Allen.

Allen mocked him, and Titan immediately regretted it. Allen jumped, spinning in midair with his body horizontal. He gripped the staff tightly and struck Titan in the head, burying him in the ground and forcing him through two floors before coming to a stop.

"Argh!"

Titan groaned, his now exposed head bleeding.

"Grow..."

Titan watched as the staff extended again, hitting him and sending him through several more floors until he crashed into the first one.

[Physical Level: 36 > 38]

...

Allen was a little disappointed. Titan had the strength to fight him, but after being in office attire for so long, his combat skills had rusted, and he was easily defeated.

Allen descended through the hole in the floor, and before reaching the bottom, he extended the staff to slow his fall...

"You're pretty weak, friend..."

"Urgh... Hehe... No, Mr. Walker, you're too strong..."

Titan laughed at his situation. Had he known this would happen, he would never have stopped training.

"I guess it's over..." Titan stared at the ceiling. He started as a small thug in a rough neighborhood, but his powers made him attractive to people like Machine Head. He hated it, and when he finally thought he could stop being a lackey, Mr. Liu showed up... "I guess my fate is always to be a tool for someone..."

"Punch Gun!"

A boxing glove hit Titan's face, burying him in the concrete. The Chat and the Dolls were speechless at Allen's actions.

Allen frowned and looked at him with disdain. "Don't get melodramatic. This isn't a Korean drama. Now, you're going to work for me. Be happy, son of a bitch."

Titan was speechless. Allen had not only crushed his melancholic moment but had turned him into his subordinate without batting an eye.

"Do you know what's a real tragedy?" Allen crouched down, reached into the ground, and pulled out Titan's head, which was not dead because it had been hit by a Toon Force weapon.

"Ugh..."

"That guy Ryu, Shiu, or whatever his name is, with all his evil mystical dragon-like spiritual power, couldn't hurt me more than a temperamental goth girl who didn't want to give me a kiss; now THAT'S a damn tragedy!"

Kurumi started to tremble as she watched Allen. If it had been anyone else, she wouldn't hesitate to use her Zafkiel to kill him, but she couldn't with Allen, so she could only swallow her humiliation, shame, and the audacity of her master.

A smile formed on Allen's face, sending chills down Titan's spine. "Now, Titan... I hope you behave... after all, your responsibilities as leader of the Order will increase."

"...!" Titan looked at Allen in horror, realizing he probably should have stayed as Machine Head's underling after all.

...

Allen returned to his apartment with a calm expression. At this moment, only Anissa was there, asleep after a long journey, though she might have just been pretending to sleep to be pampered by Allen.

With a wave of his hand, Allen summoned a glass coffin and looked at who was inside. He remained silent. Sooner or later, this would happen, but he hadn't expected it to be so soon.

"I can see you died fighting... Nolan."

Inside the coffin, the peaceful figure of Omni-Man lay still. Anissa apologized to Allen, but he didn't blame her. The Viltrumites and the Regent Thragg had abandoned their space stations, fortresses, and places she thought they might be.

The Viltrumites had conquered thousands of worlds, and without access to their communications, it would be hard for her to find them. Allen also didn't want Anissa to spend years searching for Thragg. Eventually, they would come to Earth on their own or appear somewhere, and hopefully, the Coalition would find out. Of course, Allen, the Alien, would notify them.

Artoria appeared beside Allen, looking at the coffin. "Should we inform his family?"

The relationship with Invincible had deteriorated, and as a result, Debbie's visits had ceased. So, Allen wasn't sure how she would react if he showed up with Nolan's corpse. This might deepen their enmity even further.

"We..."

...

At the GDA offices, the employees in the development area had many tasks, including creating new weapons, experiments, developing technology, and reverse-engineering to understand alien tech.

In this area, there was a man with a somber look—Scott Duvall. He looked at the various experiments with a heavy expression. All these new weapons were amazing, but not even the satellite laser could kill a Viltrumite, which was disappointing for him.

Scott walked down the hall, still remembering that day—the day Omni-Man decided he no longer wanted to be a superhero. He still remembered that day and the people who died, including someone from his family.

"Jessica... I'm sorry..." Scott shook his head and regained his composure as he arrived at the cafeteria and sat down at a table to eat, while other employees sat nearby.

"What do you think will happen? Do you think the Regulator will imprison Invincible, or maybe even kill him?"

"I don't know. He had the chance, but it looks like he didn't... so maybe this will resolve peacefully."

Scott hated Invincible, but no matter how much he tried to file a complaint, nothing ever came of it. It was obvious no one wanted to imprison Invincible because he was a force that could be used against the Viltrumites.

On a screen in the cafeteria, images of Oliver killing the Mauler twins appeared. This was exclusive to the GDA, and they broadcast it to their employees so everyone would stay informed about the situation.

"He should have imprisoned Invincible for interrupting his work. Walker should have done it; that's his damn job!" Scott couldn't hold back his anger and slammed his fist on the table, causing everyone to turn and look.

"Calm down, man..."

"Scott, are you okay?"

"I'm not okay! The superheroes kill hundreds of people while doing good. It's supposed to be Walker's job to take care of them, but look—he forgave Omni-Man because of Invincible, and now, once again, he let that sociopathic purple child go free!"

Scott's eyes began to glow, but he soon calmed down. This man, who would one day be known as Powerplex, didn't know what to do to bring justice to the hypocrite Invincible—to show everyone that Invincible was no hero.

"What's going on?" Donald entered the cafeteria after hearing the commotion and glanced at Scott, not taking him seriously. "Scott Duvall, my office... now."

Scott stood up and followed Donald, feeling nervous because he knew he shouldn't have lost control like that. Is it wrong to ask for justice just because the target is a superhero? Just because he's [INVINCIBLE]?

'Damn...' Without realizing it, an invisible current entered his body, and his power, which had been weak, began to be stimulated.

===

A/N: Powerplex is the most clumsy villain of all, he killed his family trying to get revenge on the wrong guy, or maybe he always had a screw loose. 🍷🗿
