I Teleported Into the Academy of a S*xy Game-Chapter 200: Girl’s Revenge (5)
Girl's Revenge (5)
"Hmm, why hasn't he returned from the restroom?"
"You can just hang out with us, oppa. Come on, let's grab another drink."
"Wait a moment. I need to call the manager."
After sharing drinks with the women, Park Mingyu started to feel uneasy when Lee Hoyeon didn't come back even after an hour. He buzzed the manager via the intercom, and soon the manager entered the room.
"Yes, did you call?"
"Manager Kim, my friend who went to the restroom hasn't come back. Could you check on that?"
"I think your friend actually left a while ago…"
"What?" Park Mingyu stood up abruptly.
After coming all this way, he just bolted? Is he nervous because it's his first time?
There are instances where first-timers act this way, but most men Park Mingyu has seen usually loosen up and enjoy themselves after a few drinks.
Ring, ring—
Just as Park Mingyu was furrowing his brow, his smartwatch started ringing. It was a call from the director of the Buyers Guild.
"Why are you calling me when I'm with someone?"
Even though the person they were entertaining had left, making calls during business hours was strictly against the rules.
Feeling irritated, he took the call.
[Guild Leader, it's a serious issue. The news, the news is out!]
"News?"
The director's voice sounded highly anxious. Keeping the call active, Park Mingyu quickly checked the internet on his smartwatch.
At the top of the search results were keywords like [Buyers Guild] [Park Mingyu drugs] [Buyers Guild drug distribution].
"What's this about drugs?"
"Our former associates involved in drug distribution have spilled everything! They've turned themselves in and handed over all the evidence, leaving us no way to cover it up!"
"What the hell…" Park Mingyu clenched his teeth.
"Oppa, what's going on?"
"Shut up. Let the manager know I'll be back later."
"What about the bill, oppa? Oppa!"
Ignoring the questions, Park Mingyu hastily left the building and made his way to the Buyers Guild.
It's still salvageable. I can sever ties and escape.
He only needed to cut off connections with a few guild members involved in the drug trade. Given the reputation he had built up, a tearful public apology might help mitigate the damage. At the very least, he wouldn't completely fall from grace.
"I will not go down like this…"
I've only just started to get back on track. I can't let it end here.
With these thoughts, Park Mingyu rushed into the Buyers Guild building, contemplating his next moves.

Footsteps echoed within the dimly lit building.
"Huh? Did the boss call that woman?"
"No idea…"
The men laboring in the workshop exchanged puzzled glances as an unfamiliar blonde woman walked in.
"Miss, seems like you're lost. Fancy a drink? We can make it worth your while."
"You might stand up afterward, but you won't be walking straight."
"Hahaha!"
Ignoring their crude remarks, the men continued their tasks. A hulking man lurking in a corner then approached Scarlett.
"She doesn't emit any mana… Just an ordinary woman."
"Deokgu, restrain her and administer the drug. We'll have fun with her later."
"Understood."
"It's concerning that people who don't even know my face are selling drugs. The security of this country worries me deeply." With a sigh, Scarlett subtly manipulated her mana in a way that eluded detection by the low-level dealers.
"What's this madwoman on about…?!" Just as Deokgu was about to strike, shadowy hands emerged from the men's own shadows, swift as eagles grabbing fish, piercing their throats.
Swoosh— Thud—
In a heartbeat, the lively workshop turned into a sea of blood, with only a few people who appeared significant to Scarlett left standing.
"Ugh… Ah… Aaa…"
The man referred to as the boss gaped at the dying Deokgu in shock. Given the sudden and brutal turn of events, his reaction was understandable.
Unfazed, Scarlett focused her mana and confronted the boss. "Turn yourself in. Go to the police or else…"
"I'll do it, I'll do it. Just spare me, please…"
Thud, thud—
Despite the blood trickling down the man's forehead as he frantically banged his head against the floor, Scarlett remained indifferent. Scenes of this nature had become routine in her line of work.
"Buyers Guild… You've worked with them before, right?" fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
"Yes, yes. But I don't know anything. We just had a few dealings, that's all. I swear…"
"I don't care about that. Gather all your transactions with the Buyers Guild and turn yourself in. Do it now."
"Understood. I will…"
After brushing off the dust from her clothes, Scarlett stepped out of the building.
"Ah, where would they find another talent like me? No one sweats like this for a boss who doesn't even pay."
Feeling light-hearted after completing her task, Scarlett returned to Lee Hoyeon. Ten minutes later, news spread across the internet that a group of drug offenders had surrendered at a nearby police station.
***
At Iron Blood Hospital.
I was in conversation with Scarlett.
"Is that really true?"
"Yes. I can edit it well. Actually, if you speak first, it's more likely to raise suspicions."
The video from the room with Park Mingyu. I had initially planned to confess to the media, but Scarlett disagreed.
"Is that so…?"
"We can have the manager of the room Park Mingyu visited be the one to report. Since Mingyu seems to be a regular, exposing other clients while portraying you, Hoyeon, as the only innocent one… That would make for a better narrative."
"I'm still a bit uneasy. What if I get implicated as well?"
If I claim my innocence before it all blows up, at least I'll be safe from that.
"Aren't you similar? Your fondness for women, I mean."
"…"
Scarlett's been a great help, but she has a knack for needling me with her sharp wit. The banter's amusing, but honestly, I'm still on edge.
Seeming to read my worried expression, Scarlett let out a deep sigh. "Ah, Lee Hoyeon, you're seriously mistaken right now."
"Mistaken?"
"People's perceptions are hard to change once they're set. If a positive image is ingrained, everything looks positive; if a negative image is set, everything looks negative."
"Yeah, that's true."
Considering the effort I've put into shaping my image, isn't it time for some payoff? Sometimes, I think I sell myself short.
I am Lee Hoyeon—a counterterrorism expert, academic frontrunner, and a prodigious mage. There's virtually nothing beyond my capabilities.
"And…"
"Yes?"
Is there something else important?
I waited for Scarlett's next words.
"Hoyeon, you'll just have to offer a heartfelt apology with a tear or two, and you'll be forgiven in a heartbeat. It doesn't matter if you were once the star of a host club. Your face has that pull. Don't squander it solely on fooling around with women. In the media, being easy on the eyes is a lethal weapon."
"I get it, I get… Let's do it your way…"
I glanced at the mirror beside me. A face that even I found attractive. A face that would make people say, "No, no, it's my fault," if I apologized.
There's no arguing with that logic…
[Due to this incident, I've caused harm and controversy to everyone involved…]
"He's good at apologizing, though." I spoke while watching Park Mingyu's apology interview.
The evidence I have will render his apology meaningless, but based on the apology alone, I'd find him believable.
"It's just a feeble attempt. We have far too many weapons at our disposal."
"Hmm… Scarlett, what do you think about consulting with Daeun?"
"Miss Daeun?"
"Yes. Once we release the footage, Mingyu's social standing will be ruined anyway. Her opinion might also be crucial."
The reason I'm targeting Park Mingyu in the first place is for Nam Daeun's sake, so perhaps it's appropriate that we initiate our revenge together.
"That makes sense. I'll ask her."
***
"No, I can't."
"What?"
Scarlett, who had gone to consult with Nam Daeun, widened her eyes at the unexpected response. This was the first time she had expressed her opinion so firmly since meeting.
"I'm sorry…" Nam Daeun also seemed taken aback by her own abrupt answer and quickly apologized.
"It's okay. Hoyeon told me to accommodate you as much as possible. Feel free to speak your mind."
Nam Daeun hesitated, wondering if it was okay to say what she was thinking. But it was something she had thought about since initially considering revenge, so she eventually spoke up.
"I want to talk to Uncle Mingyu… I want to know why he did it, why he treated me and Dahee that way… I think I'd feel better knowing."
"…"
Talking to Park Mingyu. It's not impossible. It would just be a hassle. Especially for Scarlett, it would be a bother.
Originally, the plan was to slowly pressure Park Mingyu and corner him. Then, either Scarlett would deal with him in front of Nam Daeun, or leave it to Daeun to handle. That was the new plan concocted by Lee Hoyeon.
When someone is cornered, they become anxious. They can't make rational decisions and easily get agitated. This makes them easier to control and simplifies matters. But accommodating Nam Daeun's wish would complicate things.
If all the information has already been made public and Park Mingyu has fallen from grace, there's no way a proper conversation could take place. After all, his life is over. But allowing a conversation with Nam Daeun before releasing the information would give Park Mingyu time to prepare. It will be becoming quite a hassle from Scarlett's perspective.
"Is it impossible…?"
"No. I'll relay it to Hoyeon." Scarlett inwardly sighed.
Ideally, she would just kill Park Mingyu, but she couldn't ignore Nam Daeun's trembling eyes before her.
Scarlett, you've become too soft.
Lately, Scarlett had been wondering if she had become too naive.
"We'll set up a proper conversation with Park Mingyu."
"Thank you." Nam Daeun nodded slightly, her gratitude evident. She was well aware of the weightiness of her request.
Scarlett chimed in as she observed Nam Daeun's gesture. "Thank Hoyeon for this. I'm just following orders."
"Hoyeon… Right. I'll be sure to express my gratitude to him."
Daeun truly felt indebted to Hoyeon; none of this would have been possible without him.
After Scarlett departed, leaving Nam Daeun by herself, she clenched her fist. "Uncle Mingyu…"
She wasn't looking to forgive him. If anything, it was the opposite. The warmth of their initial encounter was still fresh in her memory, and his kind smile remained etched in her heart.
Nam Daeun was determined to sever ties with Park Mingyu once and for all.
