I, the Villain, Want to Save Myself, But the Yandere Heroines Disagree-Chapter 88 - The Bronte Family (2/4)
“Hi, excuse me, may I sit here?” she asked softly.
Orson glanced around and noticed there were still empty seats available elsewhere. Just as he was about to speak, Olivia beat him to it.
“Sure, go ahead and sit here,” Olivia said before turning to Orson with a look that seemed to ask for his agreement.
“Uh, of course,” Orson said, nodding.
“Thank you both.” The girl sat down across from them and began introducing herself.
“Hello, I’m Julie Defante, the daughter of the president of the Defante Trading Company in Saint Roland City.”
“Ah, nice to meet you, Miss Julie,” Orson replied politely.
“I know who you are—you’re Young Master Orson, the eldest son of the Duke of Antica, right?” Julie said before Orson could introduce himself. “From what I see, you two must be a couple, right?”
“Uh... not exactly, for now,” Orson said, shaking his head.
Olivia, hearing Orson’s words, smiled at him and then shook her head as well.
“Oh?” Upon hearing this, Julie’s expression turned to one of surprise. She gently covered her mouth before handing a business card to Orson. “Young Master Orson, this is my card. The Defante Trading Company holds some influence in Saint Roland City. Also, if you ever feel lonely, you can come directly to me.”
She then turned her gaze toward Olivia, her expression openly provocative.
“Am I to take this as a challenge, Miss Julie?” Olivia asked, narrowing her eyes.
“Shouldn’t be a problem, should it? After all, you’re not officially Orson’s girlfriend yet, right? There’s no such thing as first come, first served when it comes to winning a man,” Julie said, reaching out to touch Orson’s hand—only for Olivia to swat her hand away.
“I’ll reject her on Orson’s behalf,” Olivia said, grabbing Orson’s hand and standing up. “And for your information, I’m not just Orson’s girlfriend—I’m his fiancée.”
With that, Olivia pulled Orson out of the café.
On their way out, she tore up Julie’s business card and tossed it to the ground.
Back inside the café, Julie froze for a moment before stomping her foot in anger.
She prided herself on being one of Saint Roland City’s social butterflies. Many of the city’s young nobles were well aware of her reputation. Today, she had deliberately come to the Imperial Academy during its open day to “coincidentally” meet Orson and lay the groundwork for a future connection.
To that end, she had even gathered intelligence from students about Orson’s habits and whereabouts, planning to approach him once he separated from Arthas.
She hadn’t expected to find him sitting with another woman—Olivia.
Of course, she knew who Olivia was. But when it came to winning over a man, status and identity didn’t matter to her. That’s why, upon learning they weren’t officially together, Julie had decided to strike.
Who would’ve thought Olivia was actually Orson’s fiancée?
Wait a minute—wasn’t Orson’s fiancée supposed to be Olivia’s younger sister, Lianca?
So why was it Olivia now?
No, she must be lying.
Julie thought to herself, unwilling to give up on approaching Orson.
—
“Olivia... were you jealous just now?” Outside the classroom, Orson looked at Olivia, who was still clinging to him, and asked.
Finally, an opportunity to turn the tables! Orson had been waiting to see this sly woman show a hint of embarrassment.
“That’s right.” Olivia nodded. “I was jealous. After all, Orson openly accepted another woman’s business card right in front of his fiancée. How could I not be?”
Olivia didn’t blush at all; instead, she carried herself as if it were the most natural thing in the world, completely leaving Orson at a loss.
“So, Olivia, you really...”
“Yes, just as you’re thinking,” Olivia boldly interrupted. “Tonight, during the fireworks display, will you spend it with me?”
She looked up at Orson, extending the invitation.
“Uh...”
“Are you really going to turn down such a small request, Orson?” A pitiful expression appeared on Olivia’s face.
“It’s not that...” Orson quickly shook his head.
“Then will you agree?”
“...Fine.” Orson hesitated for a moment before nodding.
He knew he couldn’t win against Olivia and had no choice but to agree.
Even after her confession, he still didn’t know how to handle someone like her.

Afternoon came and went quickly. After sending off the final batch of customers, Hecatia and Therese gathered all the students to congratulate them on their successful morning activity.
The joint effort between Classes 1-1 and 2-1 had achieved the highest revenue among all sales-based activities, surpassing the second-place food stall by five or six times.
Of course, this was all thanks to the charming maids and dashing servers.
After the debrief, the students were dismissed. Those with afternoon commitments began preparing for their club activities, while most students were free to enjoy the festival as visitors.
Hecatia pulled Litte aside and discreetly handed her a small bottle of potion.
“Litte, you worked hard today. This is a reward for you,” Hecatia said.
“A reward?” Litte tilted her head. “Professor Hecatia, really, it’s fine. I’m happy to have helped everyone...”
“Still, I made you wear a dress in front of everyone. As your teacher, I feel a bit guilty about that. I did promise to help keep your identity hidden, after all.”
“It’s okay; no one figured it out anyway,” Litte replied with a smile.
“Regardless, take this potion,” Hecatia insisted, placing it in Litte’s hand.
“So... what does it do?” Litte asked as she examined the bottle.
“Ah, this potion is made from the materials you collected earlier from Orson—like his hair,” Hecatia explained. “As for its effects... it’s mainly for calming the mind.”
Hecatia stroked her chin thoughtfully. “I tested it on Therese once when she had insomnia. After using it, she slept like a log that night.”
“Speaking of Therese, let me tell you—she may look glamorous on the outside, but at home, she’s unbelievably lazy. She only takes care of things at the very last minute.”
“Uh...” Litte was taken aback. “Professor Hecatia, do you live with Professor Therese?”

“Don’t call her ‘Professor’—she’s not your teacher,” Hecatia huffed, clearly displeased. “I regret ever getting involved with her. She tricked me into joining this academy.”
“Anyway, you can use the potion if you have trouble sleeping or give it to someone else who does.”
“You’ll have a good night’s sleep and wake up feeling refreshed.”
“I see. Thank you, Professor Hecatia,” Litte said, bowing politely before leaving the classroom.
After Litte left, Hecatia let out a sigh of relief.
At least the potion was finally handed over.
As she thought about it, Therese emerged from the shadows behind her.
“Why is it that your sense of humor is always so twisted, Therese?” Hecatia asked, exasperated.
“Oh?” Therese covered her mouth in mock surprise. “But isn’t it far worse to talk about me behind my back?”
“Am I wrong, though?” Hecatia countered. “Who’s the one who constantly drags me into her schemes and treats me like a tool?”
“Well, isn’t that because you’re so kind-hearted?” Therese teased. “How about this—I’ll treat you to all your meals for the next month.”
“Now we’re talking.” Hecatia nodded in satisfaction. “But seriously, what was the point of making me brew that potion?”
“If I told you it was just for fun, would you believe me?” Therese said with a mischievous grin.
“Not a chance,” Hecatia replied, rolling her eyes. “Spill it.”
“Fine,” Therese said, her tone shifting slightly. “I wanted to uncover certain things—things I couldn’t normally find out.”
She glanced thoughtfully toward the doorway, where Litte had just exited.
