The very next instant, a system panel appeared in front of his eyes.

5) Remark regeneration function has been added.
6) A separate EXP section has been added to store EXP.
==============================
"This..."
Yi Chen’s eyes widened in surprise as he carefully went through the updates this level-up had brought forth.
When he had read all six points, the first thing he did was to take out a Qi Nourishing Pill from his storage ring.
Glaring towards it with furrowed brows, he willed for the status panel to open.
"It works!" Yi Chen exclaimed excitedly as the status panel appeared right in front of his eyes the next instant.
========STATUS==========
Name: Qi Nourishing Pill
Usage: Replenishes Qi pool
Remark: Good Quality (Regenerate: 10,000 EXP)
========================
"Sweet!"
He exclaimed with clenched fists.
The next second, he pulled open his own status panel beside it and glanced at the changes in his Qi pool.
[Qi pool: 277-> 267 / 332]
His Qi had reduced by ten points, clearly indicating that it was the cost of utilising his ability.
However, there was not a single sign of dissatisfaction on his face.
"Completely worth it!" he exclaimed with excitement.
He still vividly remembered how paranoid he had been when he spent his first night at an Inn during his journey.
At that time, fearing that the food might be poisoned, he had forced himself to starve.
"With an upgrade like this, I will be better prepared for the future dangers." He nodded while thinking.
’Dangers often lurk in unexpected places, and this ability will definitely help in pointing them out.’
His gaze soon went back to the Pill’s status panel and observed the ’Remark’ at the end, which was a replacement for ’Extra’.
The next second, his gaze shifted to the ’Regeneration option’ on its right, as a bitter expression formed on his face.
"10,000 EXP huh...." He forced a smile.
’Well, it might just prove to be of great help when I need additional information about someone in the future...hopefully, at that time I’ll have enough EXP points with me...’
He sighed to himself before shifting his complete attention back to his own status panel.

=========== End ===========
His eyes confirmed the presence of the new EXP section before moving to his favourite stat, the spiritual sea stat.
A grin formed on his face as he glanced at how much it had increased.
Thanks to this increased amount, he was able to use the Crimson Fire Arts for a couple of more hours and along with that, he had also started to notice that his mental clarity had increased tremendously.
Another interesting thing was the fact that the recovery time had stayed constant throughout. He just needed to sleep 8 hours, and no matter how much spiritual energy was depleted, his spiritual sea would be at its full state once he woke up.
If it was like this with him, then he was sure that the same also applied to everyone else. This also made him understand how beneficial these ghostly beasts were.
Although he had limited knowledge when it came to spiritual energy, he was still able to understand that expanding the spiritual sea would definitely cost a fortune outside, as he had never heard of these beasts there.
It was at that moment that his attention was pulled by the setting sun.
"Ah, it’s already so late. I should return when there’s still light." He muttered and, using the Bursting Fire Steps, hurried back to the pond.
In his search for more ghostly beasts, he was forced to wander quite far from the site, so the return journey took him almost two hours.
By the time he had returned, the sky had turned pitch dark, and the blue light radiating out of the pond’s depths evoked a sense of nostalgia in Yi Chen’s mind.
"So, today’s going to be my last day here, huh..." he muttered while glancing at the pond’s still surface for a few seconds.
He knew that the chances of him encountering such an amazing treasure again were close to zero.
However, he couldn’t delay himself any longer, as his main motive for entering the tomb wasn’t this but to clear the temple and gain a divine physique that would bolster his cultivation.
A while later, he started a fire and, on top of it, roasted a few fish.
Since he had wiped out all the nearby ghostly beasts, he wasn’t worried about attracting undue attention at night because of his actions.
Grabbing a skewer, he checked whether the flesh was firmly cooked or not before munching on it with great relish.
"Delicious..." he muttered, and the next instant was reminded of Gao Zhen and the rest.
"With their abilities, they should be fine...Though I wonder whether they had regrouped by now or not," he mused to himself.
During the last few days, he had slain thousands of ghostly beasts, and even after that, he didn’t encounter another Grade 9 beast within a hundred-kilometre range.
As for the ones below Grade 9, with their abilities, he believed that they should be able to deal with them.
Even if they find it difficult to defeat them, they possess enough Qi to escape.
"Now that I think about it...I won’t be surprised if in this tomb’s entire history, I was the only one to encounter a Grade 9 beast the moment he entered it...."
He snickered and shook his head in an amused fashion before reaching for another fish to munch on.
After he was done with dinner, he doused the fire and lay flat on the ground to observe the night sky.
The clearing above the pond allowed him to get an unobstructed view of the twinkling sky above.
"Are they really stars?" he mused to himself.
Several other questions also entered his mind. Some he was able to answer, while many were left unanswered, just like the first question.
Not minding any of that, he allowed his mind to freely wander while capturing the pleasant view in his memory.
His short hair and flowing robes gently swayed with the cold winds, evoking a deep sense of comfort in him and slowly and steadily, he drifted into sleep with a content smile forming on his face.
