I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 141
Chapter 141: Chapter 141
The rest of the guild members couldn’t bring themselves to move or even speak, paralyzed by the sudden appearance.
Soon, a tall man emerged from the portal, his presence commanding and ominous. But before the Rogues could approach him, shadowy tentacles writhed behind him, slicing their heads clean off with eerie precision. Blood spattered as they fell lifelessly to the ground, and only one guild leader remained—trembling and desperate.
"P-please spare me!" he stuttered, kneeling down and practically groveling before Kairos. "I-I’ll give you money! Or anything you want!"
Kairos’s cold stare pierced through the fear-soaked air. He glanced at Magellan beside him. "Do we need to keep this one? He’s annoying me."
"Nah, you can kill him. Besides, there are three more members inside. You can choose one of them to live for the sake of stock price," Magellan said, his tone bored as if this were just a normal decision.
The guild master’s eyes widened. "N-NO!" However Kairos only grinned at him before his tentacles sucked out his life essence.
Seeing that his boss was done toying with his victim, Magellan cheerfully said, "Shall we go find the dungeon boss?"
"I’ll go alone," Kairos replied, surprising Magellan.
"Let’s go—" Magellan looked at him, puzzled. "What?"
"There are two people inside who are recruits... although I only want her," Kairos explained.
"Ahhh..." Magellan nodded, although he can’t hear boss’ last words.
The term ’recruits’ referred to individuals specifically chosen by their boss and the members of the Nightjars Organization for training and potential use.
Once again, Magellan found himself questioning Kairos’s motives. Why bother with recruits at all? He could easily handle the situation himself and achieve their objectives without such distractions. And why only one of them?
Before he could voice his inquiries, Kairos was already gone. Now he was really curious who the recruits inside the dungeon are?

The path to the boss room was filled with monsters. So me and Cypher killed it together as we watch each others backs. I was fighting while guiding Cypher where to attack.
Currently, there were eight hungry Shadow Hounds in front of me. They were advanced grade 2 monsters.
I charged forward, my daggers at the ready as eight hungry Shadow Hounds, grade 2 monsters, closed in on me. Their eyes gleamed with an otherworldly hunger as they leapt at me, their jaws wide open.
I didn’t hesitate. With a swift motion, I pulled all five of my daggers and threw them simultaneously, aiming for the vital points of the Shadow Hounds. The daggers sliced through the air, striking true, and the Shadow Hounds let out a chorus of pained yelps as they fell to the ground.
Behind me, I knew Cypher was holding his own against the undead ghouls that had spawned from the darkness. I kept a watchful eye on him, waiting for any sign that he might need assistance.
As I fought, I shouted out orders and guidance to Cypher, directing him to target the most vulnerable ghouls. "Take out the one on the left! No, wait, the one on the right! Aim for its neck!"
Cypher moved swiftly, his sword slicing through the air as he struck down the ghouls. But just as he was about to deliver the final blow to a particularly tough ghoul, it lunged at him with a snarl.
I saw the danger unfolding and reacted quickly, shouting out a warning. "Duck!"
Cypher ducked to the side just in time, avoiding the ghoul’s attack by a hair’s breadth. I took advantage of the opening and shot a dagger at the ghoul, striking it with deadly precision. The ghoul let out a blood-curdling scream as it fell to the ground, defeated.
The fight continued on, with Cypher and I working together in perfect sync.
"Let’s hurry, we don’t have time," I said, my voice laced with urgency.
We sprinted through the winding cave, monsters lurking around every corner but since they were weak, I easily killed them with my daggers.
After about half an hour of relentless running and monster-slaying, we finally arrived at a dead end: a giant stone wall.
’Thank goodness, the author didn’t change this,’ I thought, relieved.
The wall, at first glance, looked like a solid barrier, but upon closer inspection, strange symbols were etched into its surface.
"I heard there are dungeons like this but this is my first time seeing them," Cypher commented, studying the symbols.
In the original novel, Cypher kept coming back to this dungeon since he can’t decipher what the symbols were. It was only after dedicating himself to the study of ancient languages that he finally cracked the code and defeated the boss.
"I know the answer," I said to Cypher, exuding confidence. Even though I couldn’t quite recall the riddle itself, I was certain I knew the solution.
"Daylight," I declared and closed my eyes, anticipating the door to swing open. Instead, Cypher yanked me down to the ground, a volley of arrows whistling just above our heads.
’What the heck?’ I thought, bewildered.
"Daylight!" I repeated, louder this time.
This time, the ground beneath us gave way, and just before I could plummet into the darkness filed with spikes, Cypher pulled me aside, falling down on top of me. I disregarded our awkward position as my frustration increased.
I stood up and shouted, "Daylight, daylight, DAYLIGHT!"
Nothing happened for a tense second. Cypher stood ready to pull me away if another trap activated.

"See Cypher? I told you not to wo—" I began, but before I could finish my sentence, a flood of water cascaded down from the ceiling, nearly drowning us. As soon as we caught our breath, venomous snakes shot out from the sides of the room, forcing us to dodge and fight for our lives. Then, just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, the walls began to inch closer, threatening to crush us.
We stood there, panting heavily after the series of traps that fell upon us.
"Argh!" I huffed in annoyance. The author had changed the damned riddle.
"Umm Remi maybe we should retreat for now?" Cypher suggested, his voice laced with concern.
"No," I said firmly, shaking my head.
Just then, the sound of approaching monsters echoed through the tunnel. They must have been drawn in by the noise. "Cypher, can you take care of them while I open this damned door?"
"Sure," Cypher replied, drawing his sword.
Meanwhile, I sat down and muttered, "Open system shop."
Once the shop interface appeared, I immediately searched for languages and selected "Ancient Languages." The price was outrageous, nearly half of my accumulated points. With trembling hands, I clicked "Okay."
[Downloading Ancient Languages]
’Are you kidding me right now?’ I thought, exasperated.
[No. So sit still while you wait for the download to finish.]
’But... I need to use it now!’
[Calm down. Why? When you were studying, do you immediately gain the knowledge?]
’...’
[No right? So quiet down while I try my best to finish the download quickly] frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
A few minutes passed by.
"Remi? How long before you can solve it?" Cypher called out, struggling to keep the monsters at bay.
My brows furrowed as I forced myself to remain silent and focused.
[Ancient Languages 98% complete]
A few more agonizing seconds passed, and finally, I had access to the ancient language.
"What is False at the Beginning where Shadows Lie?" I muttered, reading the inscription on the door.
’Huh?’ My face contorted in confusion as I tried to decipher the cryptic words.
"Remi, I can’t hold on any longer! More and more are coming this way!" he struggled to maintain his hold on the monsters.
I began to sweat as I thought of the answer. ’False... Beginning... Shadows lie...’
"Hope?" My voice was barely audible, and I was already second-guessing myself.
But before I could change my mind, the stone finally opened with a loud creak, and I felt a surge of relief.
"Let’s go!" I shouted, yanking Cypher away from the monsters and pulling him towards the opening.
The door creaked shut behind us as we entered the dark, cool interior of the dungeon. I let Cypher catch his breath for a moment, still reeling from the close call.
"Sorry for not helping you there," I said, a little sheepishly.
"It’s fine..." he panted, still gasping for air. "I’m amazed that you can read ancient language. You’re really a genius."
I felt a twinge of guilt at his praise. I just smiled and nodded, trying to play along.

This is the solution to the riddle; What is False at the Beginning where Shadows Lie?
Answer: HOPE
False: In dire situations or when faced with danger, people often cling to "false" hopes, or hopes that may not come to fruition.
The Beginning: This phrase can refer to the notion that every journey or struggle starts with a glimmer of hope.
Where Shadows Lie: Shadow often symbolizes despair, fear, or uncertainty. However, it also represents the space where hope exists. While shadows can be ominous, they also denote the potential for light—indicating that hope might exist even in the darkest places. In literature and storytelling, hope commonly arises from the depths of despair, showcasing that in our bleakest moments, hope can be the guiding force that helps us rise above adversities.
