I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 143
Chapter 143: Chapter 143
"Copy that. We’ll finish this in five... no, in three minutes," the Rogue communicated through their guild master, his voice dripping with confidence.
The Rogue, holding an axe, glanced at the other two, and nodded in approval. The one holding a bow pulled two arrows, his fingers deftly loading them into place.
"Blame your curiosity," the axe-wielding Rogue said with a smirk.
The Rogue, holding a sword, Ken, glanced at Nhil, the one holding an axe. "Nhil, you’re in charge of killing the girl while Lance and I will take care of Cypher."
"Not fair! I want to join the fight too!" Nhil whined, his face contorting with disappointment.
"Just do it quickly and help us once you’re done with her," Ken strictly ordered him.
"Okay," Nhil muttered, a hint of resentment in his voice.
I quickly threw the cane at Cypher, "Make sure you use this as your weapon," before our surroundings were suddenly shrouded in a thick black smoke.
""Cypher?!" I shouted, my voice hoarse from the thick air. But I couldn’t see a thing, as if the world had been turned upside down.
Nhil laughed, his voice echoing through the smoke. "This is Ken’s special ability. Impressed?"
However I didn’t answer him as I silently began to activate my Spectral Seal and coating the daggers with my aura.
’I need to kill him in one strike before he can go fully Rogue.’
Rogues were known for their ability to blend in seamlessly with the crowd, disguising themselves as humans with ease. But once they wanted to use their full power, their appearances would alter, revealing their true monstrous forms. I knew that if Nhil went unchecked, his transformation would be a game-changer, making him nearly unstoppable.
"...You must be in shock right now. But that’s okay, I’ll let you deal the first strike," he arrogantly said.
I snapped out of my daze when I heard his words.
""Don’t mind if I do," I bowed, and before I could raise my head, I unleashed my attack. I threw eight aura-coated daggers at Nhil.
However, before the daggers could reach his body, he expertly dodged them all, his movements fluid and graceful.
"That’s it?" Nhil scoffed at her, a smirk playing on his lips. "It’s my turn now, missy."
But before he could make a move, I simply muttered, "Retrieve."
Immediately, all the daggers I had thrown came back, stabbing Nhil’s back.
Nhil was caught off guard but then smirked again when he felt nothing from my attack. "You know this isn’t going to hurt me, right? Besides, I’m already Elite Grade 5."
I tilted my head a thoughtful expression on my face. "But I wasn’t done yet?"
"Huh?" Nhil furrowed his brows trying to decipher what I meant.
"Explode," I said. In an instant, the daggers that were stuck in him simultaneously exploded in a golden hue. That wasn’t all; the smoke causes suffocation which lead to him choking for air.
Thud!
His muscular body fell to the ground.
"Finally," I gasped trying to endure my exhaustion.
I staggered towards him. He wasn’t dead yet. Rogues had abnormally high recuperative power. I needed to end him quickly and help Cypher...
"Retrieve," one of my daggers, which was still in perfect condition, flew to my hand. I couldn’t use Arcanum in dagger form right now as it would cost a lot of my aura and drain my Spectral Seal.
Shuk!
I forcefully stabbed the dagger towards his head, but I couldn’t penetrate his skull, to do so I would have to use my Spectral Seal again so I had no choice but to reactivate it.
With my last remaining aura, I tried stabbing his head again, but the Rogue suddenly raised his head which caught me off guard making my hand slipped and hitting the ground.
"RAAAR!"
I was sent flying back, crashing against a wall. Immediately, my vision grew dark and the sound wave seemed to ruptured my organs, as I spat out blood.
"I’ve had enough of your tricks.... You f*cking witch..."
The Rogue staggered up as he cursed. Half of his face didn’t seem human anymore. His eyes were dark red, two curved horns protruded from his forehead, a long tail that is covered in sharp spikes and his body was covered in scales.
This was the true appearance of a Rogue.
Of course, I won’t let him say the last word. So I smirked at him and showed him my middle finger. "Adios, motherf*cker." Then I satisfyingly closed my eyes and awaited my death.

"You’re still annoying until the end, you—"
However, it went silent. I couldn’t hear his voice anymore but I still waited for a few moments. When I still didn’t feel my body being sliced into two, I finally opened my eyes.
"What...?"
I couldn’t see the Rogue anymore. All I can see was another man standing right in front of me.
Stunned, I stared at him in a daze.
"Uhmm..." I couldn’t speak.
"Nice to meet you," he only said to me, a slight smile playing on his lips.
"Huh?" I still couldn’t speak properly. Why is he here? I couldn’t understand why he kept appearing in front of me.
"Why do I get the feeling that we always run into each other?" I said sarcastically, the words feeling foreign in my dry mouth.
"Of course," Kairos answered sincerely, as if my sarcastic remark was the most obvious thing in the world. "Because I was watching over you."
"And why is that?" I unconsciously tried to move my body away from him, but I gasped when a fresh wave of pain washed over me. ’Sh!t it hurts! It feels like I’m dying.’
He quickly approached me then checked my condition, his brow furrowing. "You’re badly hurt. Should I move you—"
"No! This position is fine. Let me adjust to the pain for a little while." I said, trying to give him a smile, but it came out a grimace instead.
He stared at me for a few seconds, clearly not believing what I said, but then he sighed and handed me a business card.
I tried to grab it, but my body wouldn’t cooperate. I shyly asked him, "Umm, can you hold it in front of my face? It seems that my body won’t listen to me right now, hehe." I laughed embarrassingly, the sound catching in my throat.
I thought he would ignore me or just throw the card at me, but to my surprise, he obeyed me like an obedient puppy, holding it steady in front of my face.
My eyes widened when I saw the card.
Talon Mercenary - Kairos Thane
Talon Mercenary was just their disguise. Hidden underneath was their real organization; Nightjars Organization.
"Kairos...?"
Wait, he should approach Cypher, not me.
I was still staring at the card when the barrier shattered, and I saw Cypher barely standing, using the cane as a support.
"Cypher?" I tried to stand and approach him but when I took a step, I slipped and before I could fall, Kairos swiftly caught me and supported me in approaching Cypher.
Of course, Cypher won by himself.
When I tried to shake him to wake him up, he suddenly fell down, his body going limp. I quickly checked his vitals, relief flooding me when I found out that he was okay, just unconscious.
I looked at Kairos and smiled sheepishly at him, my pain-laced smile feeling fragile. "Kairos, can I ask for another favor?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper, the question directed at whether we could carry Cypher out.
"No." He rejected me immediately, as if he read my mind.
Before I could say another word, I felt my vision blurred and fainted, the physical pain and exhaustion finally overwhelming me.
As Remillia was about to fall again, Kairos swiftly caught her again in his embrace, his grip now more cautious, as though he was holding the most delicate thing in the world.
It seemed that she had gotten truly exhausted after all that fight. He grabbed one of his health potions and poured it on Remillia’s mouth, carefully tipping her head back.
He realized a while ago that she was trying not to show that she was in pain, but he had witnessed the fight from the beginning and knew that she had obtained ruptured organs. She just didn’t want to show it.
He felt a surge of anger towards the Rogue, for pushing her to this state so he quickly ended his life and let his tentacles sucked him dry until nothing was left of the Rogue.
He then carefully carried her, cradling her against his chest, and was about to leave the room when he noticed the guy lying on the ground, Cypher.
"Tsk," He wouldn’t have bothered to look at him if not for Remillia. She clearly cared for this man which is the more reason not to help him but he knows that Remillia would be mad at him if he didn’t bother to help this guy.
In the end, he let his tentacles appear from his back, snaking towards Cypher and pulling him along with his belongings. He didn’t bother to carry him. He just dragged him on the ground as they exited the cave, mindful of the uneven terrain, and careful not to jostle Remillia in his arms.
