I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 295
"...Gilded Sword, Legacy of the Dawn Royal Dominion, Sovereign Legion, and other top-ranking guilds have officially entered the Gateway of Vision. The Global Heroes Alliance has expressed concern that the portal campaign may spiral into an uncontrolled free-for-all, but acknowledged that the situation is beyond their authority..."
Crash!
The screen shook as something slammed into the wall beneath it.
"Bang!"
Glass shattered.
"Splash!"
Damian stood in the middle of the room, chest heaving, veins bulging at his temples as he hurled whatever his hands could grab. A lamp exploded against the floor. A chair skidded and shattered. The television kept playing, cruel and indifferent.
"The mysterious scrolls have transformed into portals on specific dates, believed to be directly connected to the Gateway of Vision. This appears to be the only method of entry. The mechanism, which defies both modern science and known magical theory, has shocked researchers worldwide—"
On-screen, heroes stepped confidently into glowing portals that bloomed from ancient scrolls.
Damian roared and kicked the bed.
Crack!
The frame snapped cleanly in half.
His teeth ground together as venom poured from his mouth."That son of a bitch..."
This should have been him.
He should have been inside the Gateway of Vision by now—fighting, advancing, carving his name into history. Instead, he was trapped in an empty waiting room, reduced to watching others claim what was supposed to be his.
"I’ll kill him," Damian snarled. "I’ll tear his limbs apart and grind them, make it into a shake, and feed it to the dogs!"
Crash!
Another object met the wall.
The irony burned hotter than his rage.
He had obtained a scroll—forcefully prying from his opponent’s hands. He had waited smugly for July 1st, leisurely and confident. He’d even bragged about it to Yoru and the others who couldn’t find one. He thought he’d be the only one enjoying the chaos while everyone else stayed home, bored and bitter.
Then came yesterday.
After finishing his final match, he looked for the scroll to ready for today—
And it was gone.
He tore his room apart in a frenzy, overturning drawers, ripping open storage, smashing furniture. Nothing. Six hours passed in blind panic before a single name surfaced in his mind.
Yoru.
That bastard had gone quiet. Too quiet.
With shaking hands, Damian called him.
No answer.
Again.
Still nothing.
Yoru had run off with his scroll.
Damian laughed before his expression twisted into something feral. "Just wait two months," he muttered, eyes burning. "You motherfucker."

Guidelines
• Upon entering the player grounds, all belongings from the outside world will be removed and temporarily stored within this void. These belongings will be returned once you exit the Gateway of Vision.
• Your attire will be replaced with the default uniform: simple clothing and standard leather armor.
• Your stats and Gift will also be drastically reduced. The higher your original stats, the greater the reduction. However, players will be able to regain their strength at a significantly faster rate than usual. Any stats accumulated while weakened will still count toward your maximum stats in the outside world. The Vision does not halt long-term growth—it merely resets the starting line.
————————————
————————————
If you do not agree to these terms, you may freely exit through the portal behind you. Otherwise, please choose one skill to retain. You possess ten skills in total. All others will be sealed within the Vision.
————————————
"I choose Serenade of Daggers."
————————————
For the sake of fair and equal play, the skill Serenade of Daggers will be reduced.
————————————
I wasn’t happy about it, but I swallowed my complaint.
It was better to treat the Vision politely.
————————————
Player Extra of the Golden Scroll
You have been assigned to the highest difficulty level.
In exchange, you will receive a bonus skill.
————————————
It was finally time.
This benefit was practically a cheat code. The Vision strictly limited how many skills a player could acquire, and that limitation alone decided the gap between mediocrity and dominance.
Five.
That was the maximum number of skills any player could learn inside the Gateway of Vision.
With that in mind, the advantage of receiving an extra skill was obvious. It was the difference between being constrained by the system—and bending it.
Most players were satisfied if they performed well enough to return to the outside world with half of what they’d learned. Two, maybe three skills, if they were exceptional.
But my goal was far more ambitious.
I intended to keep all of them.
Recently, my stats had stopped rising. No matter how hard I pushed, the numbers refused to move. A bottleneck. One I couldn’t brute-force my way through.
So I planned to use the Gateway of Vision as a foundation—to strip myself down, rebuild from nothing, and force my way past the ceiling that had trapped me.
If the Vision was meant to humble players—
Then I would use it to ascend.
————————————
You may choose one bonus skill from the following catalog:
• Stamina Restoration
Instantly recover 50% of lost stamina. Can be used twice per day...
• Battle Rage
Each consecutive attack increases your strength, but consumes 10% mana per use...
• Flicker
Teleport to any point within a fifteen-meter radius. One charge restores every eight hours. Usable three times per day...
• Camouflage
• Nature’s Call
• Shield Bash
...
————————————
I scrolled past the options, one after another, until I found it.
The perfect one.
————————————
Jester’s Mask
Conjure a mischievous illusion that confuses enemies. When activated, the mask temporarily conceals your identity, causing foes to perceive a distorted, unpredictable version of you.
While the mask is active, your movements become erratic, making you significantly harder to target. You may also taunt enemies, drawing their attention toward you.
However, the chaos comes at a cost. While wearing the mask, your ability to use precise skills or spells is reduced by 50%, reflecting the distraction and unpredictability it imposes.
Cooldown: 60 seconds
————————————
"I choose Jester’s Mask," I confidently said.
————————————
Bonus Skill acquired: Jester’s Mask
This skill is exclusive. No other player may obtain or use it.
You and other players may view your stats through the system window.
Player Extra, enjoy your time in the player grounds.

A burst of blinding light swallowed me whole.
When my vision returned, I was somewhere else entirely.
Everything was gone—my weapons, my gear, even my clothes had changed, replaced by rough, unfamiliar fabric. Instinctively, I tried to call up the system.
Nothing answered.
It seemed the Gateway of Vision wasn’t just powerful enough to strip me of my belongings.
It had taken the system itself with it.
I sighed. That system was lucky—getting itself another short vacation.
The silence pressed in on me as I took in my surroundings. I was standing in an open field washed in the colors of sunset, the sky bleeding orange and crimson as the sun dipped low on the horizon. The ground beneath my feet was uneven, littered with loose dirt, jagged rocks, dried leaves, and stubborn weeds that scratched against my boots. A faint breeze rolled through the field, carrying with it the smell of soil and something else—something damp and rotten.
Then I heard it.
A low, distant rumble.
Instinct kicked in before logic could catch up. My hand shot to my side, reaching for the familiar weight of my dagger—
Nothing.
My fingers closed around empty air. I froze, then immediately reached to my neck where my Arcanum is resting.
Nothing again.
My stomach sank.
The ground trembled beneath my feet.
I went completely still.
How were players supposed to survive like this? The Vision stripped us of our belongings, sealed our skills, and now it didn’t even provide weapons? Were we expected to punch monsters to death with bare hands and optimism?
Think. Think. Think.
Panic clawed at the edges of my mind, but I forced it down. I knew this place better than anyone else.
Because I was the one who created it.
Or rather—started creating it.
The Gateway of Vision had been unfinished. Poorly structured. Rushed. Back then, all I’d written was a single outcome: Cypher would be the first to complete it. Everything else—the balance, the progression, the safety nets—had been half-baked ideas at best.
The ground shook again, stronger this time. Pebbles bounced at my feet, and a nearby rock tipped over with a dull thud.
My heart pounded.
In a surge of desperation, I tried to activate my Spectral Seal.
The moment I did, my vision blurred, as if reality itself recoiled. A sharp pressure stabbed behind my eyes, and a red system window slammed into view.
————————————
WARNING! ANOMALY DETECTED!
Unauthorized use of an unknown power has been identified.
If you continue using this anomaly, the Vision will be forced to ’eliminate’ you.
————————————
...Even Spectral Seal was off-limits?
The ground shook violently.
This time, the earth beneath me split apart.
I barely had time to react before I leapt backward, my heart nearly bursting out of my chest. A massive worm-like creature erupted from the ground where I had been standing, soil and rocks spraying into the air. Its body was thick and pale, segmented like armor, glistening with mucus that reflected the dying sunlight.
Its mouth opened wide.
Rows of razor-sharp teeth lined its gaping maw, each one curved and serrated, dripping with saliva that hissed as it hit the ground.
I dove behind a large boulder just as the monster snapped its jaws shut with a thunderous crack, missing me by inches. The impact sent vibrations through the rock, rattling my bones.
I pressed my back against the stone, forcing myself to breathe quietly. Slowly, I edged sideways, trying to put distance between myself and the monster without drawing its attention.
Then—
Snap.
The sound was deafening in the silence.
I looked down.
A twig lay broken beneath my boot.
"...Fuck," I muttered.
The ground trembled again.
